As good as SS Lockdown is, that huge backpack bothers me more every time I look at it. So I took it off by cutting slots into the tabs that hold the backpack onto its pin. Now it clips on and off easily.
Of course, without the backpack, he has a huge hole in his back. I separated the front end of the car kibble from the rest of it (it’s not pinned), and installed it on his back in the same position it would usually be. This left the wide front bumper sticking out out of his sides, so I just flipped the part over and clipped it back in. Now it covers most of the opening in his back, and the wide part of the bumper hides behind his shoulders.
The arm that holds the removed back kibble ends up sticking out, so I made a big notch in the back panel to let it swing upward some more. I also cut down a couple of ridges on the underside of the hood part to let that bracket swing up more too.
The result is a much leaner, meaner Lockdown. Partsforming, yes, but he ends up looking more accurate IMHO.
