That Takara Blitzy deco is nice and that artwork is even nicer. I do love how wacky fun the mangas are.

So, with Blitzwing's comic, we get an origin story for Cartoon Blitzwing, and the reason all the Overcharges are drawn like Blitzwing's cartoon model instead of the updated TR/Legends design is because these Overcharges are from the past and the main one is to become Blitzwing himself, so they have to look like Blitzwing's old design for the sake of matching how Blitzwing looked in the past (e.g. - how he looked in the cartoon).

Btw, even though I scanned the original comics used here, I can't for the life of me see Blitzwing (Blitzedwing? ) having a wee outside in the street. Unfortunately, I HAVE seen my fair share of old Japanese men, at all times of the day, openly urinating in public. Is not masses of them, but fairly common, nonetheless.

Could someone help me locate the part in the comic please?

What do you mean "giant one"? He was just one of several nameless Overcharges back then, all being the same size.

Perhaps the Overcharge was shown in the foreground, and thus looked bigger? As these comics are rather small, they also feature lots going on all squashed together and are hard to discern at times. However, I can't see anything to suggest that, looking at them again.

So I was just told there's a comic for LGEX Metroplex. Am I forgetting that or have we not seen scans of that yet?

Not quite yet. A couple small photos of a panel or two have been posted on Twitter, but not full images of the complete comic.

G1 Megatron has unlocked the latent spark/transmetal traces, left over from when Beast Wars Megatron fused their sparks within the same body (in Beast Wars).

Who, though, is the white Ravage with the G1 Decepticon symbol?

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian Cyberpath, we have the latest chapter of the Takara Tomy Transformers Legends manga - chapter 49, to be exact - as found on the official page of the company's website here.

Notable for this instalment is the cartoon accuracy in plenty of character designs from artist Hayato Sakamoto, the presence of UW Convoy Grand Prime (Optimus Maximus), the Targetmasters Topspin, Twintwist, Misfire, Triggerhappy and Slugslinger, plus the Masterpiece MP-15/16E Cassettebots and Cassetrons (Wingthing and Enemy, plus blue coloured versions of Laserbeak and Ravage - possibly Garboil and Howlback from the Cobalt Sentries - and a white one, for some reason) and more, including no unnecessary fanservice of any kind! Great post! I think the blue Lazerbeak and Ravage are "Howlback" ( http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Howlback_(G1) ) and Garboil ( http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Howlback_(G1) ), both of which are "Cobalt Sentries" ( http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Cobalt_Sentry ).

Ah yes, it is transmetals 2 megatron, was thrown by the head silhouette. Still this is crazy though.

Now this was a pretty awesome comic.

YES! I might write to Takara and tell them. THIS is something I think we ALL like, right?

Looks like an attempt to give Slugslinger and the others some back-story. This comic takes place before they became Decepticon Targetmasters (Japanese continuity.)

The bottom line of panels in the last page shows Slugslinger as a Targetmaster in the Headmasters cartoon, then as a Target/Headmaster in the "Legends" world.

Somewhere in the middle of the story it looks he's using some kind of transformation cog (style "The Ultimate Weapon") to give himself the ability to connect the Megatron gun into the end of his arm (in the same manner his Targetmaster partner would later connect, in the Japanese series.)

G1 awesomesauce! Even KP Glit and Enemy shows up!

Man, so many named background characters and off screen characters getting some story time. Even "Megatron Black Version".

Oh, SNAP! Now this is the kind of continuity porn I can get behind!

This story (minus the very end) must be set at some point after G1 season 2, with the Targetmasters as not yet Targetmasters, and all those extra additions to both factions present (Hubcap, Overkill, Slugfest, Road Rage, the Omnibots, Artfire, Stepper, Crosscut, Hauler, Runamuck, Runabout, Tigertrack, Stripes, Twin Twist, Topspin, Megaplex, Sunstorm, Enemy, Wingthing, Garboil, Howlback, Nightstalker, and Glit).

The glowy thing they're all fighting over is inconsistently called either the "Transform Super Cog" or the "Super Transform Cog".

And that ending scene is set in the Legends World much later, with Slugslinger and Caliburst up to no good again.
