I'm going with the Takara one, because the red chrome on the Hasbro version doesn't look right to me.

The chrome can be removed. There's red plastic underneath it.

The Cloud line is complete, no new figures. All 8 figures are now known, and we've known from the start that's all it'll have.

I though it was said somewhere that there'd be a final fifth wave.

EDIT: And now I can't find anything on that, so Wave 4 might indeed be the end.

I will pass on all of these. The Scout Class minibots are out of scale with the rest of the Classics line-up. This in my opinion is unforgiveable.

Meaning Hasbro should finally set up a standard size for their TF line? Wouldn't cost/design factors also have to be taken into consideration?

That would be tough though. I would like my vehicles to be in scale but then again i see tailgate as a small guy you know. So i would prefer if he were small.
Plus, there's always that 'small car, giant jet' thing, which means starscream would tower over any of the cars.

As for Brainstorm's repaint/remold? What about Dreadwing or even Darkwing.
Really like these though, but apart from tailgate, hasbro's look fine enough.

Everybody on screen are inside Astrotrain, even a fully formed Devastator in TF The Movie. For those who dont know, In robot mode, Astrotrain is the size of a standard seeker.

I'd rather keep my figures as unaltered as possible, for collectability and potential resellability. That's why it's the Takara version of leader Jetfire for me!

Thanks to Taghobby we get some new Figure King magazine images of Legends Brainstorm, Swerve and Tailgate. In this scan you can see that Legends Brainstorm has replaced a lot of the grays in the Hasbro version with blacks and the red and blue on Legends Swerve and Tailgate is darker as well. The first with the clocks (yes, clock, 25cm or 10 inches in diameter) seems to be exclusive to the ever-popular (and often rigged) Crane Games, while the ones with the weapons is exclusive to Lost Age. They are:

Ptera Spear: repainted from Prime Knock Out's weapon
Spino Hammer: repainted from BH Deluxe Twinstrike's weapon
Tricera Mace: repainted from BH Deluxe Windrazor's weapon
Prime Axe: repainted from BH Dreadwing's melee weapon.
