Given that the mold is clearly made with Overlord in mind first... yeah, it'll no doubt be released as Overlord. Still, their releasing an already-used mold as an exclusive isn't exactly unheard of.

Yeah, like Armada Megatron. They could release the skyshadow mold in DaiAtlas colours as a toy show exclusive. Or even part of the main line, as they did with Soundwave.

True, though Dai Atlas kind of has that... obscurity factor to him compared to Soundwave and Blaster that makes me feel like he'd be an exclusive. Plus while a lot of the features of the mold do match up with him, he's still very different from his original toy and character model due to the mold originally being made for Overlord. So something like that where it only just works also makes me feel like he'd be an exclusive.

(Also, Overlord is far more important than Dai Atlas - Overlord being the main villain of a full Anime compared to Dai Atlas being the main hero of an OVA when Transformers was starting to fail in Japan. It's a bit like comparing Megatron to Fort Max)

Nope, I don't see it. Colors are there but sculpting is not. The base mode is a good argument, were it not for the fact that both use the same basic layout, with the jet cockpit as a tower and the tank portion as platforms. The only thing the tank doesn't do is fold out in three parts.

Yes, we are well aware that there already exists a Tokyo Toy Show Exclusive LG EX Black Convoy, and you can see his gallery here. However, that was the 2015 Tokyo Toy Show Exclusive LG EX Black Convoy and now we have word of a new one for the 2017 Tokyo Toy Show. This news comes to us from an e-mail [Wing_Saber-X] from the TFW boards got from a Malaysian store called Toonshoppe. Here is his mesage followed by the e-mail:

Hello fellow Transfans!
Just thought I'd share exciting news about a possible Tokyo Toy Exclusive Legends Black Convoy listing I received from my local toy supplier. Its supposed to retail at ¥5,600 to be avaliable for release at the end of June 2017. Ive included a screenshot of the email sent as proof.

While we have no images, smart money is on this being Japan's release of the Titans Return Voyager Optimus Prime toy in Black Convoy colours (red, black and teal). As with Armada Megatron, this will probably be the only way to get the Takara version of the mold as Optimus since only Octane would be the wide release of that mold from Takara.

You know what this means, guys? We might be getting even more of the post-Car Robots Gelshark/Black Convoy/Baldigus storyline that began in Gelshark's Legends comic, continued in Black Convoy's previous Legends comic, and carried over into Baldigus's two Unite Warriors online comics. :DANCE:

I'm anticipating an e-Hobby exclusive Fire Guts God Ginrai before the end of the year. What with the moulds existing to do it and it being 10 years since E-hobby started doing Transformers Exclusives and the original FG God Ginrai If I recall correctly was their first one too.

I would welcome a Nucleon Quest deco too possibly as a TRU exclusive so both Optimus get made in black - it makes more sense for the larger one to be a Black Heroic "Optimus" body though.

To add some interest perhaps the Larger Hasbro version of the mould would be suitable for a Western repaint of some kind too - I'd kind a like a Blue G2 Combat hero / Powered Convoy like one but i'd understand if Hasbro thought Nemesis Prime was a better idea. Not that I'm not interested to see what they plan to do with Magnus too.

I wonder, since the toy is a Headmaster and since Black Convoy once tried to control a Headmaster, if this toy might fictionally represent Black Convoy creating his own Head On System to put himself on more even footing with Brave Maximus.

Not naturally, though. Brave Maximus was created by Primus/Vector Sigma on Earth in ancient times. Towards the end of what we're shown of his life, he ends up being sent back in time from 2007 and crash-landing on Planet Master, where he becomes the inspiration for Fortress's Headmaster technology. So the Headmaster tech of Planet Master came from him, rather than him being related to Master's tech.

But the Head On System that Brave Maximus is something a little different. It comprises of Plasma and Brave, who unite with Cybertron City to become Brave Maximus. But there is a trick to both activating the Head On System and making Brave Maximus work. Someone like an Autobot or a human can activate the system and transform the city, but in order for Brave Maximus's true power to fully function, there is a part of Plasma's programming that is a Black Box that will only respond to one with a pure heart, like a selfless human child or a determined Autobot youth. Selfish or wicked intents result in an Access Error that can cause Brave Maximus to either reject the one who activated him or to even go haywire with wanton destruction, like so:

Not terribly long ago, we learned of Takara releasing six of Hasbro's Titan Masters in alternate decoes as a high-priced exclusive - Brawn, Flywheels, Grimlock and the Hasbro versions of Brainstorm, Chromedome and Hardhead. And today, courtesy of fellow Seibertronian Cyberpath, we have the tie-in Manga for the six of them! No translations yet; but it features a surprising appearance from Zarak and the rest of the Headmasters from The Rebirth - which we'll remind you was exclusive to the US G1 Cartoon Continuity, not the Japanese G1 Continuity these comics usually follow!
