it worries me.
looks like its time to put triggerhappy and hot rod up on ebay sometime before september.
wonder why they didnt do it with blurr and scourge.

will be waiting to see what slugslinger and misfire look like.

They didn't do it to blurr because they probably didn't plan on it till way after they did Blurr.

Simple - Hot Rod, Kup, Blurr, Scourge and Cyclonus were not released as Targetmasters in Japan. However, Hot Rod and Kup later got a re-issue in Japan that included their American Targetmasters - so those two have precedence for this while the other three do not. We can fully expect to see Targetmasters for Triggerhappy, Misfire and Slugslinger I think

They didn't do it to blurr because they probably didn't plan on it till way after they did Blurr.

When I first saw the kup mold I thought it looked like a piece of ****, especially in the weird toilet cleaner blue. The dark grey though it's not really kups colors but i guess its good. Yeah it's good. Pretty Damn good.

Also I love the WaLuigi Sweep.

It's not Hot Rod. If you look at the color scheme, Takara has pretty much turned Hot Rod into Rodimus Prime.His colors match perfectly with Rodimus Prime, minus the trailer attachment of course.

I'm assuming these colors schemes best match the Japanese Headmasters series, not the US G1 series, that's why Kup is grey. So neither version is giving you a G1 animated series color scheme, you're either getting a G1 toy homage, or a Japanese Headmasters homage.

He was teal in headmasters. He wasn't ever grey in the headmasters show.

Well that was unexpected. Not only do they get actual Targetmasters, but they also got retooled as well. I suppose that makes them worthy of a repurchase. Not a big fan of Hot Rod's new chest that doesn't seem to sit right in car mode and gold leaf flames or Kup being gray for some reason (another case of the design team using the wrong screen cap for source material). And to think, people swore that if Targetmasters were done in this line they wouldn't also be Headmasters.

Now I'm a little sour that Ginrai didn't get a proper engine mode. This does add credit to the theory that Overlord will be retooled to be as tall as Super Ginrai, though, if they're willing to go this far with Deluxe figures.

It's new. The front doesn't fold and the engine disappears.

These...don't look very good to me. Rodimus looks pretty terrible in those colors and with the new chest. Kup has a nice deco but why is he grey? And that head is just . I could see the figure working as a generic Autotrooper with a new head though. I think I prefer Hasbro's pastel Sharkticon as well.

The new Targetmasters look really sweet though and the new Sweep head looks cool.

I have no need to get these versions when I'm perfectly happy with what I have, but DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANG those Targetmasters are teh dopeness!

That's not a sticker on the hood, it's translucent plastic painted.

Sharkticon's deco looks great. Not loving the Dali mustache on the Sweep.

I'm impressed that they created Targetmasters for Hot Rod and Kup. Wish they'd remove the Headmaster gimmick for the eventual Decepticon jets, but that's not going to happen.

Come to think of it, it makes sense Rodimus' hood was retooled - they haven't shown the weapons their Hasbro counterparts come with implying they don't have them; so there's no need for the slots on Hot Rod's hood where the weapon would usually go. So instead they turned it into a Targetmaster slot.

Ok, in my opinion, these blow Hasbro's version of all 3 out of the water. Hot Rod looks incredible with that deco. Kup is gorgeous even if it isn't blue, and his new head and shoulders look really good. And that Sharkticon... I am in love

Dear Hasbro, when you make your next two Titans return Boxsets, omit the Die Cast Titanmasters and give us these 2 new Targetmaster molds instead.
