I'd say no because he's already represented in the line in the form of Galvatron's Titan Master Nucleon. Unlike the US portrayal, in the Legends manga he actually is Megatron, having popped out of his Leader Class body.
how would they put legends brawn in though
william-james88 wrote:Kurona wrote:Freaking called it. No matter how much it does or doesn't look like him, if Hasbro releases a lionformer; Takara turns it into Lio Convoy.
At least this one looks a lot more like him and actually has his face unlike that disastrous Thundertron repaint.
I know it sounds like I'm being negative but this thing looks absolutely beautiful. Too bad the price tag's so high (due to, of course, being an exclusive) otherwise I'd be thinking very hard about it.
Its not exclusive, its just a normal retail release of the legends line. its only expensive because the yen is high and TFSource passes their higher costs onto us. The toy is really only 30-35 quid in Japan, which is the same price you get hasbro voyagers at in Scotland, right?
Sabrblade wrote:That all depends on if they're going to include either Brawn toy in the Legends line, though.Bumblebee21 wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Bumblebee21 wrote:will takara do megatron since the fusion cannon will most likely be for him and blitzwing would have his sword instead of the fusion cannon.

Except for the fact that he's dead circa the time that all the Headmaster guys came from. They'd have to explain his being alive again with some kind of resurrection story (which they could do, but the fact that they'd have to do that means that he couldn't just show up on his own without that kind of newly-made explanation).william-james88 wrote:Bumblebee21 wrote:JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:Bumblebee21 wrote:will takara do megatron since the fusion cannon will most likely be for him and blitzwing would have his sword instead of the fusion cannon.

There is no problem with Brawn, he was never in the legends line yet.

Every TF Legends toy comes with a comic that promotes said toy within the continuity that the Legends comics take place in. Takara's very fond of creating an astute synergy between their toys and their fiction.Bumblebee21 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Except for the fact that he's dead circa the time that all the Headmaster guys came from. do all of the toys have to connect with their comics in some way

It's not Takara's fault that Hasbro killed off Brawn back in Transformers: The Movie (1986). They'll just have to write in a resurrection story to justify a TF Legends Brawn toy, probably using the Brawn animation error in "Carnage in C-Minor" as a starting point.Bumblebee21 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Every TF Legends toy comes with a comic that promotes said toy within the continuity that the Legends comics take place in. weel that would ruin any new toys for characters they kill off

No, all their comics have to connect with their toysThe comics are written much after and are more of an extra. The legends universe itself is a new world based on the toyline.

Black Hat wrote:Lio Convoy? Awesome! Not sure if I'd buy this over Alpha Trion, but I might. Maybe. We'll see.
Personally I wanna see a TR Leader Class Big Convoy, with a "base mode" that looks like an ice age mammoth hut, a more articulated mammoth mode and an overall similar aesthetic to Alpha Trion/Transmetal 2s, with mostly mechanical detailing with the odd bit of organic fur/bone/flesh.

william-james88 wrote:Remember this guys, whenever Takara doesnt do a colour scheme Hasbro does (like this Alpha Trion) that turns the Hasbro version into a toy exclusive to Hasbro. Hasbro's Alpha Trion is now an exclusive Hasbro release and it sure beats the previous Alpha Trion who was exclusive to Takara. Meaning it just got way more desireable with a whole new collector market (Japan) realizing they will have to import that figure to have the character as part of their collection.
