Easy:
- I am not fond of the lack of detailing. I understand everything being flat on a cartoon model but on a toy it just looks off to me.
- Speaking of being too cartoon accurate, I am not too fond of the alt mode's sides. Its clearly the arms and I dont know how it will look from an overhead view. Of course the G1 toy couldnt be a perfect fire truck and the show model imitated it, but now that means the MP has a very dodgy alt mode.

That's a shorter hose truck, not the bigger ladder truck with the extra tires in back. This is as close as we'll likely find.

But... that's not just show-accuracy, it's also toy accuracy:william-james88 wrote:- Speaking of being too cartoon accurate, I am not too fond of the alt mode's sides. Whether cartoon or toy, that's just how Inferno's altmode is.

Cyberpath wrote:Do you guys think 3P was a factor in Takara's character choice or that it was just a coincidence? Could this be Takara's way of eliminating the "competition?" Like "there are three 3P infernos. None of them has a magic ladder, or the ability to turn their heads with the wings, or interchanging heads and bumpers. And none are as accurate. So the next time a wannabe MP comes along be patient and wait for the real deal."
Waiting for them to one up the 3P Megatrons personally.

I could make more money on toys that haven't already successfully been produced, marketed, and sold already by 3rd parties. That being said good job on a toy that someone already did a passable job on.
Optimustard wrote:Actually by that logic Takara should give fans toys that they want rather than what they already have.
It's just good business. I want Takara to be around for a very long time.
Optimustard wrote:Takara should already have molds for all of the g1 line and snipe the third parties before they can release theirs.

Unfortunately, many of the G1 molds are too damaged or even destroyed. That's why the Dinobots and several others were never re-issued. Still, K.O companies have reverse-engeneered these molds and these K.Os are out as "reissues" on Ebay. Takara could do this as well, but it may be because the ressources are used to make more new things than old ones.
