No problem but there is an English button on the site.
Directly below the bottom right of the search bar.
1 button click and 90% of the data on the site is translated.
Good Luck! ;)^

I found the button, but after clicking it, the red text under the green "In Stock" text became this:

Correct but only temporary.
Prime items, specifically the MPs we are looking at, cycle in and out of availability to the US.
There is an internal calendar that controls this, however i have not figured the exact thing that triggers the switch from one to another.

The easiest thing to do is, make a Wish List for your account and throw the items in there.
You can check it regularly to see when an item has become available to the US and then make your decision based on personal thing and circumstances.
For example, MP Megs is available for US preorder but MP Artfire is not.
So I submitted my order for Megs and and left Artfire in my list for future review.
As soon as the shipping window opens up, I make the purchase/ preorder , and am good from there.

It really is that easy guys; just a little patience and you can have the items you are looking for for a fair price and pretty fast regular shipping.
Good luck to all and I hope this helps to clarify. :-D :-D :-D ;)^

No it doesn't, just like US Amazon.
It just means you get the Amazon direct order for the item, shipping from their warehouse.
And since the prices for the MPs are high, there is no minimum to worry about, just like how US Prime has a 25/ 35 minimum.

I just ordered a couple of Figure King issues, the recent ones that had the Diaclone spreads, for 1008 yen each through them.
Because it was a small order, my shipping was higher than the normalized Prime because my total was not that much.
However with that minor increase, the mags were cheaper with shipping, than eBay or other JP fansites can offer
But MPs are well above any minimum so it just shoots through the order process at a fair shipping price; depending upon accurate currency fluctuations.

So late already as just found the time to transform the Fire truck.

First, compared to the images of the 3rd party versions, well on the extra molding details on the legs, hands down, based on the images, on a scale of 1 to 5, I'd give the 3rd party a 5.0 compared to Takara's which gets a 4.0. Calling a spade a spade.

Also, why didn't they just stamped the FD logo on his doors? Really now! :HEADHURTS:

But, as in but, the transformation sequence is another marvel in toy design engineering. A kind of high tech origami of you will. Anyway, that's a field of art and culture the Japanese excel at.

The wheel placements sliding back to lock. The pseudo ladder lever cum projector thingie (the truck mode has it in small aluminum color paint while the robot mode is a more detailed rotary dial chromed appendage) is presented in two forms!

Not to mention how his shoulder wings are neatly incorporated into the structure without any parts forming ( Takara must have hone their style since that Tracks/Roadrage debacle) that severely affects space and functionality.

The ladder? Just awesome! Intuitive and very simple! Takara hands down wins this round! If that trick was 1st incorporated to that one by Maketoys? Takara should hang their head in shame but instead they were the first to develop it and used that as a pitch hitter!

So more or less, Grapple will also incorporate this origami voodoo again so's Artfire but for 2017, the 1st 2 quarters aside from Megs, we'll be stuck with the Fuso mold and Cheetas. I wam now waiting with exteme anticipation if hound or Jazz gets the next MP treatment. :x

So, my thoughts on Inferno. We will, of course, start with a dashboard picture, because me.

Image

Inferno, depending on personal taste, is a good looking figure. It is here that I should warn you that I am not a huge fan of the new direction that Takara is taking with trying to make Masterpiece figures look as cartoon accurate as possible. I didn't like Shockwave, and I don't really like the look of Inferno. Cartoon accurate is not what I want. I want the best possible mix of toy, cartoon, and realism that can be achieved. It is what they used to do, and what they need to do again. This will overshadow most of my feelings on this guy, but I will try and be objective. Moving on....

Inferno can look good with other figures. His lack of detail will stand out a bit, but he still works. Particularly if you have ratchet or ironhide by him to help smooth out the style transitions.

Image

On the plus side, and this is a very large plus, he is very articulated. He can strike many a pose, and his joints are tight and solid enough to hold those poses.

Image

Image

He also comes with many accessories. In the first pic on the dash, you can see that he as a cartoonish grill, with a pearl coat like white plastic grill. He also comes with a chrome grill that looks more "realistic" giving Inferno more of a traditional feel. This is the grill I choose to use, though I do worry about rub off. Here are some pics.

Image

Image

Image

Inferno also comes with a very unique accessory: a grill piece with clear plastic extensions that enable him to carry Red Alert (or any Lambo MP mold). You have to love the nod to the fans with this one.

Image

Then of course, there is the much discussed "ladder magic". I don't think there is much more I can add to this conversation, so here is a simple pic. You can also see a handy dandy clip on point for his Rifle while in robot mode.

Image

Tuck mode is okay. Nowhere near as good as some 3rd party models out there, but passable. I feel this is a bit of a step down from your standard Masterpiece alt mode, as it looks very much like the G1 toy without much updates.

Image

Truck mode also offers 2 different options for weapon storage.

Image

Image

Of course, Inferno has plastic tires, instead of rubber. This alone, in my opinion, should disqualify him from a masterpiece title.

All in all, while a good figure, a nice update from the original G1, Inferno is not (in my opinion) a great Masterpiece. I sold my MMC Backdraft after reading so many good reviews about this guy, and now I have the regrets. Oh well, this figure will do. As for recommendations, is you are a Takara/Hasbro loyalist, go ahead and get this figure. If, however, you are like me, and want the best possible update and representation of a character, look at the other options that are out there.

To paraphrase TC, "earth is so flat" Same can be said of Inferno. So anime accurate alright as in bereft of details which could have been done better, heck, GF Convoy mold had more details than him. Btw, about the wheels, almost all the new MPs (except MP-01,MP-10)used plastic tires. So they're not MP anymore? Broad stroke generalizing bro. Not that I dislike rubber tires but the ones on my MP-10 first release have some annoying QC issues ( shrunk and warped)

Glad you got one . Same like IH and Hotrodimus, I'm sure you'll enjoy him as the mold will grow on you.

P.S. I wonder if Grapple and Artfire will use a different type of facepaint from Inferno. The one used on him is quite different from the standard silver aluminum type apps.

If a masterpiece costs over 100 bucks, rubber tires are the least if things they can add. It doesn't bother me on the other releases as they cost far less. Well, it does bother me, but I can let it go.

Apologies for my naivety, but what is the advantage of having rubber tires instead of plastic? As far as I can tell both are decent for a figure but rubber degrades much quicker.

For me, it's all about the look and feel. Also, what you are getting for your money.

I also compare it to the competition. 3rd party companies can do it and keep costs similar, what is the excuse for Takara, the "bigger better" company.

Finally, other than my prime and magnus from RiD 2000, I've never had an issue with rubber tires cracking, so I don't have any real bias from that perspectiv .

As far as I'm concerned things like rubber tires, die cast, and unnecessary chrome (more of a main-line complaint than a MP issue) are just window dressing and the number of included parts more than makes up for Inferno lacking those features.

Your just lucky. Given that you mentioned you own the Hb Fireconvoy version. I had the fortunate opportunity to own first the Hb then the Takara version. The rubber in my Hb version rutted almost withing 6 months of purchase. That was back in 2002. The JP version which I acquired 8 years later still hasn't. So you must have been really really lucky.

MP Inferno and the Legends are still stuck somewhere (it's been five weeks since shipped) so I can't comment on him yet.

But I generally prefer plastic wheels on the cars because they make engine noise when I roll them on the desk.

Plus, there's all the stories about rubber wheels..

This makes me glad I stuck with my Hellfire figure. Much more detailed and more in line with my other MPs and 3rd party figures. Kinda makes me glad as I'm attempting to wind down my MP collecting to just the Must Have characters and this new direction will make that easier.

I agree with this. I dont know what makes Inferno so expensive, and this is just looking at the yen price. I dont feel I am getting a lot for my money which is why I have yet to purchase inferno.

I also compare it to the competition. 3rd party companies can do it and keep costs similar, what is the excuse for Takara, the "bigger better" company.

I agree with this. I dont know what makes Inferno so expensive, and this is just looking at the yen price. I dont feel I am getting a lot for my money which is why I have yet to purchase inferno.

Looks like a lot to me.

Not to mention they had to actually pay for their vehicle licence.

Ironhide had to get a license as well. Also, I feel Inferno doesn't come with half the assessories Ironhide did. While I'm sure you'll disagree with me, and that's perfectly fine, when I hold Inferno in hand, I cannot tell where all the extra money went.

Actually, Inferno and Ironhide are the same height. I actually think Ironhide is a little heavier than Inferno.

I'd say use a scale. Something larger often feels lighter than something smaller of the same weight.
