Even if the sound bites were in English I still wouldn't care. I think sound gimmicks don't have a place in the Masterpiece line. Just how I feel. Wish they had stuck it in his trailer or something If they just had to have it. Hope it didn't take too much space.

I do think that adding electronics in is extremely silly but if Takara's home market go crazy for them, who are we to judge. I do wonder though, how much less it would be minus the electronics.

It's not the cost that bothers me about electronics. It's the space they take up and the potential to forget to remove the batteries and they decay. Lights and sound are just a little to gimmicky for me, but that's just me.

Yeah, that's what the shipping is on my MP BW Megatron, and right now I am paying $220 for him, which is cheaper than I bought Dinobot for on TFsource.

Ya know what's funny though? Remember that time when there were all kinds of people making fun of the non-transforming action figures and asking why someone would pay more for something that doesn't Transform?

I think we're hitting the phase it's now "Oh it only costs that much more to get it to Transform?"

MP Coronation Starscream in 2012 was 13,000JPY. MP Shockwave which is a little more simplistic and doesn't really come with any big accessories was 16,800 in 2016 with the lights being the only possible reason for the increased price. Meanwhile Soundwave was 15,800JPY in 2013, but taller, sturdier, and came with Laserbeak. Without electronics I would guess Prime would drop at least 5,000JPY since audio is more expensive and they probably have to pay for the voice.

When people say "included" it usually means the same as "total". It just means they don't want to bother breaking down the price. I use the exact same wording Will does all the time. He's $305~ on Amazon.co.jp plus $10~ shipping.

A replacement fusion cannon was released for MP36 with clips of Frank welker and they sound better than anything Takara could have done.
The same will be done with MP44s backpack and Peter Cullen's voice.

From who and was this an official release?

Thanks to Seibertron stalwart Cyberpath we got some new shots of MP-44 Optimus Prime. Coming in the form of scans from Figure King magazine no. 251 via Loopaza Mega Store there are a lot of shots we've seen elsewhere, but there are a few notable ones. We've got some examples of Prime's articulation (thanks to another pose straight out of the movie), our first look at the Matrix inside Prime's chest, and the humans interacting with the trailer.









At this point if you're still on the fence I'm not sure what it'll take to convince you. Is there anything missing? Anything you wish they didn't include to bring down the price? Sound off below in the Energon Pub!

If you want it for cheaper, get it off amazon japan for 315$US shipped. It wont be cheaper later no matter how much BBTS might discount it from their 440$ price. 100$ off next black friday is still more expensive than getting it off amazon japan today.
