& I was just starting to enjoy not having to hear people gripe about Hasbro's toys based on how their colorschemes stacked up against Takara's.

Not to mention, it looks like we won't be hearing the name "Convoy" so much anymore.

Honestly, Someone tell me what in the hell is it with this constant, "If it's not from Japan it's not real enough" day in day out crap?! _> Anyone fragg'in know? Care at all?

EDIT* -- Forgot one lil' thing. That aside, I'm mighty curious as to how your join date is reading 1969

I think it's cuase he's based in Japan that he wants to get the 'Real Gear' tfs from Japan.

Also in the past Takara have generally had the better/more show correct paint apps (good example being Vector Prime).

Im actully rather disapointed that the Japanese are gonna be lumbered with our names for the tf charecters. I dont see why they have to keep our names when it's translated into their language... ahh well.

:-? Ah. Very well then.

Personally I've found myself enjoying both offerings. I don't have trouble with either or. Unless it's a particular line that's just not available here.

In the end however, both the JP and state side TF products are manufactured in the same extra place anyways-- China

This is entirly true. Although you can still produce the same thing, in the same place, and come out with a different quality of product. Takara and Hasbro have different markets, Takara's is more collectors based which means it pays them to spend a little extra on the deco than hasbro (aimed squarly at kids, who dont care as long as it's fun to play with) would.
