So if TFsource lists my preorder as a backorder, does that mean I won't be getting him when a lot of you will be getting your notifications that he is in stock?

Possibly. I know BBTS sometimes gets a smaller order shipped air to fill some orders then fills the rest later when the slow boat from China arrives, literally. This might be the case for TFSource.

Or, a worse case scenario is that they oversold, but I like to remain positive, so let's not go there...

If so, I will assume that "Preorder Products (back ordered)" is just odd wording on their site. After all, UW Computron, if you go to his individual listing page, is listed as "pre-sold out," and you cannot actually place an order. At best, you can submit an e-mail address to be informed when (or, possibly, if) more become available to order.

Meanwhile, everything else in my stack is just listed normally, and is able to be preordered. So if you were actually able to place an order in the first place, I wouldn't worry.

I liked us Bruticus more due to a proper Blastoff. But I was able to get Hasbro's 5 member team for less than 60$ so at that price I was morevthan happy with Hasbro. Shuttle blastoff was not so dear to my heart,more like a nice to have.

"proper" to me is a space shuttle
But yeah, for $60,- I'd happily take that trade-off for an airplane Blastoff and a brightly coloured Vortex, and a black Bruticus head instead of the Takara version.

Thanks to TFND we have some side by side comparisons of Hasbro's Combiner Wars Computron Collection Pack and TakaraTomy's United Warriors UW-08 Computron. Strangely enough however, TFND decided to pull the 'ol switcharoo on their respective hands and feet, so UW is sporting the newly molded CW hands and feet, while CW utilizes the standard hand/feet molds from the UW set. The thing is, the Hasbro Technobots set would probably be better off with the standard combiner hands/feet since those figures need some guns.

As combiners? I'd buy that. The combined heads can be based on the Courageous and Grungy Power Suit heads.

Guardians: Leader-1 (Skydive), Turbo (Wheeljack), Rest-Q (First Aid), Spay-C (UW Blast Off), Roadranger (Onslaught), Scooter (CW Groove)

Renegades: Cy-kill (UW Groove), Crasher (Dust Up), Cop-Tur (Alpha Bravo), Fitor (CW Strafe), Snoop (Silverbolt), Bad Boy (Powerglide)
