Probably in 4 years, when TakTom puts the Molds away finally and forgets about them...

...until some future iteration of the TFCC comes along and says "Remember when they did Combiners in 2016? We should use those again for an anniversary."

I'd laugh if his name was silverstreak!

Edit:
But honestly, I was hoping for a character I don't have a quality version of. This just adds to the list of pointless recolours, but he does look very fetching.

Welp, color me disappointed. We coulda got Rotorstorm, we coulda got Quake, they could have even thrown us a curveball with a non-G1 guy, but no, we got Bluestreak. As if it wouldn't be cheaper to just get a Universe Bluestreak off eBay. Okay, the "Blue Bluestreak" deco is reasonably clever (though perhaps not particularly original, since Takara just did a Masterpiece BlueBlue last year), but there's better things they could have done with the slot.

It does admittedly look nice, I'm keeping it for my own silly reasons (a desire to be a completist about Combiner Wars and the expectation that he'll be part of Wreckage), but I was hoping for something exotic and/or exciting.

Or instead they could do something different and stop rehashing the first year cars already! It's been going on since Alternators, for crying out loud!

On a similar note, why do the "Datsun brothers" need to be a complete set? If they travel in a group like the seekers do, I must have missed it.

Hoist was a second year release.

Though he would be easy enough to repaint Trailbreaker into.

There is the current suspicion that Hoist is the alternate head for Trailbreaker.

Also, there is a second first year release left out: Sideswipe.

BEYOND in agreement with you Zee. Hey, I really like CW Trailbreaker, Prowl, Mirage, but there are so many characters that haven't been done to death in generations.

I mean, I subscribed to 4.0 because OH MY GOD MAYHEM ATTACK SQUAD WITH SPINISTER AND RUCKUS??!?! It's niche but not THAT niche. Blue Bluestreak is really pretty, and I'm going to keep him, but it's certainly not fitting the theme of Mayhem vs Wreckers.

This is exactly why I'm super excited for Titans Return. 80s Headmasters! Sixshot! Galvatron! Tidal Wave?! Characters that haven't been done ad nauseum if at ALL.

It's probably because there are a bunch of Sideswipe toys in RiD. But yeah, I'll grant that he actually does go with Sunstreaker in terms of actual connection and does actually have a reason to get made somehow. Good luck.

Yeah box art for a leader class Sixshot was leaked. Strong rumour (aka basically confirmed as much as Getaway from Chromedome) is a voyager Tidal Wave, with a likely retool/deco into Broadside. And apparently the carrier mode is a USS Flagg homage.

But just ANYTHING OTHER THAN SEASON 1 CARS FOR NEMESIS' SAKE.

True, but twas a figure made for the U.S. Tail-ender distribution just bit its intended U.S. release in the butt (as is common for tail-enders, unfortunately).

With as extensive as this deco is, and by going with the more obscure "fandom myth" blue deco, how much more creative could they get with a Bluestreak toy?

Character-wise, however, if the recent OMAM fiction is anything to go by, they very likely may be depicting him in a manner described in his original Marvel Universe profile but which has been seldom seen in any story-based fiction: His being the last survivor of his home, and this case, the sole survivor of Cybertron, living alone in isolation on a dead world. Almost sounds like an I Am Legend take on the character, which I'm hoping for.

I meant more creative than 'lol datsun bro #3' the niche homage is nice, but there are literally hundreds of more niche figures that could've gotten this love as an update... honestly, I would have loved to see it turned into Barricade, even if it is something we've seen before, it's far more interesting to me...

Hmm, more I think on it, my enthusiasm for this wanes. Yeah, would've been better for Bluestreak to be a retail release and save the free figure for someone else.
