I hate tea but I drink the commercial Iced teas (Liptons Lemon usually cuz lemon stops thirst but I like the green as well) when working outdoors in high summer or a heatwave.(In agricultural fields or Archaeological digs).
The formula: one mega coffee before leaving for work, then an iced coffee on the way, then the still very cold tea to wash out the coffee. One bottle of frozen water (melting fast) until lunch break, then another freezing coffee and very cold water (heating up fast) to last until hometime. Good home food and just room temp water after that.No soft drinks or alcohol.
Winter time, I drink chamomile grudgingly if I feel I need some, or sometimes pour a little chamomile tea or wild (mountain) tea into soups- chicken usually but it works in fish as well.
My potato recipe:
*Cut up potatoes and Zucchini into cubes.
*Boil, together with 1 green pepper, the appropriate amount of salt to taste and, if desired, 1 spoon (soup or teaspoon depends on preference and # of serves)of decent Dijon mustard.
*While boiling, throw in about a (bigger) cup worth of (garden grown) chamomile tea per serving of 3 people.
Use this as the base for a soup, or, even better, a baked dish. Try chicken-Bacon-Potatoes or else oven pork & potato with mushroom sauce* baked in the oven with the above base, but cut some Tomato slices and put them along the top of the dish as well and let them bake with it.
*Fry the mushroom sauce with all the diced vegetables you can get your hands on.(Don't dice the mushrooms that you will add).Apply to the food when it's on the plate.

It's something that should never be taken away."
