TF Prime Arms Micron AM-16 Jet Vehicon

Remember when we found out that the Transformers: Prime Voyager Breakdown and Voyager Gaia Unicron would be TakaraTomy exclusive figures? Well it looks as though the Deluxe Jet Vehicon figure might be joining their ranks. The Jet Vehicon figure was recently released in Japan, and Allspark.com user Powered Convoy has both acquired one and taken a photo of the figure's copyright information. Much like the Breakdown figure, the Jet Vehicon figure only contains copyright info from Tomy, rather than from both Tomy and Hasbro like the other figures shared between the two.

Image

For comparison, here's Prime Voyager Breakdown's copyright information (also taken by Powered Convoy), which also lacks info from Hasbro.

Seibertron.com members daimchoc and Sabrblade bring us a couple of updates on Takra's recently released Transformers Prime Arms Micron AM-16 Jet Vehicon

First, daimchoc has found a video review by YouTube member doubble80. Check out the embeds below.

Second, Sabrblade brings us some potentially unfortunate news by way of fellow fansite the Allspark. It appears Jet Vehicon may be joining Breakdown and Gaia Unicron as Takara exclusives.

I was expecting this, but I'm still pissed off. Are we ever getting any new figures? I'm honestly asking, because it looks like everything we don't have already we're just not getting.

It's not any particular lack of things, we get a grand majority...but the things we don't get are thing things we've been clamoring for! Seriously Hasbro... =_=
What Voyager do we want most? Breakdown! Do we get him? Proooobably not. We *might* get the Silas retool/redeco, which would be wonderful, but he'll be as he appears...whenever he appears again in the show (inhabited by Silas), which will feature a different chest/grill, head, and primarily black color scheme.
And the second now is Jet Vehicon. There's every reason to think it will sell (it's a freaking troop-builder for pete's sake), but apparently Hasbro didn't want to bother.

There's also Unicron, but I didn't really expect us to get it. Of course, I'm going to be quite annoyed if Unicron not only turns up again, but combines with Megatron/Optimus like he was in the initial images we saw.

Seriously Hasbro? There's a stack of money to be made.
After getting AM04 Ratchet, I concluded that I don't like the stickers and my favorite Micron wasn't so great.
No reason for me to get this (and Breakdown for that matter) if it remains an Arms Micron exclusive.

Probably due to cost issues. Jet vehicon has the mass of PRID Vehicon, with added plastic for wings and stuff. Also, Unicron would not fit into any of hasbro's scale.

Hmm...Just because it doesn't seem like there's ever any new ones out, I think Hasbro are still doing the Voyager scale.

It's price point and size seems to be of the Ultra scale, but Hasbro's just too lazy to work it in.

Well, I'm tired of complaining about Hasbro. I already ordered Arms Micron Vehicon and Jet Vehicon, and I'm starting to realize I'm going to have to start importing more often as Hasbro seems to have no interest in bringing us the toys we want.

I do wonder what leads to these decisions. Why ignore show characters that have fully developed toys? All the designwork is done...

Yet another troop building opportunity Hasbro would rather we didn't have. Hell, the one they did release is impossible to find. As far as I'm concerned the most official thing about Hasbro is that they suck. For every step forward they take four steps back. They had better blow us away with the 30th anniversary.

I hate to be rude, but they've been telling us its a Japanese only release since it was first solicited! Personally I chose not to be Hasbr-optimistic and believed them.

It does look bigger than a Voyager, but online retailers have him priced the same as Darkness Megatron and other AM Voyagers. I'm stoked for that figure.

Normal AM Voyagers (SS, Breakdown, Bulkhead, etc.) are cheaper than both Darkness Megatron and Unicorn.

Actually, only a few voyagers in TT's line have had that higher price point. Darkness Megatron, War Breakdown, and Gaia Unicron all have higher prices than other voyagers in the line (including Swerve and Breakdown Silas, who share the same mold with Breakdown). I guess Breakdown's higher cost is to offset initial use of the mold, and Darkness Megatron comes with two freaking huge Arms Microns. Unicron's cost might be because it uses a lot of plastic, hence a larger size.

All of the AM Voyagers were $59.99 up until the Swerve repaint on, and the first wave of deluxe AMs were $37.99 (pricing on subsequent waves dropped to $29.99 @ BBTS).

My point was in this line pricing seems kind of arbitrary, which means Unicron is just a regular Voyager size. Theoretically.

I didn't think Hasbro released the FE Vehicon did they? Or are they only going to release it now that they're re-releasing the FE's and that's what you were referring to?

At SDCC, the FE Vehicon was shown among the seven FEs that are coming to TRU later this year. Notice that I omitted Bumblebee and Cliffjumper since they aren't a part of the 2012 release of the FEs? 2011 only had three Deluxe FEs come to TRU, but 2012 will have all of them minus BB and CJ.
