This is rather nice looking, possibly more so than the Green version!

Im not really on board with all this Shattered Glass Universe :???:
Just when did the whole SG thing kick off?

Was the SG thing just a way to roll out (pun intended) redecos of any previous mold but tie them to their own universe so it seems like 'not another repaint'?

By the way, well done Daimchoc for coming up trumps again with the latest breaking news and photos!
Someone give this man a job on the News Crew!! ;)

Interesting, looks pretty good.

I'm just wondering how many takers these 3Ps are going to find for 500-600 dollar gestalt repaints. $1200 for two of the same sets is a ton when so much other official and 3P stuff is in the pipeline.

I'm surprised they think there's enough interest in this (especially considering the expense) to warrant a run of them. I'm sure they know what they're doing, I'm just a little surprised...

Well, why not? They have the molds, they may as well make use of them. I don't know how much interest there is in this, but I guess we'll see.

I like the SG concept, but never got into it. Still a few figures have wormed their way into my collection. AM Thundercracker, Galvatron, and SG Ravage, notably. All for different reasons.

I would rather have a G2 yellow Hercules. Holding back on yellow Giant hoping it gets a KO. And yes the SG concept is a scheme to make people buy repaints. But at least Funpub has been playing it off smoothly by making most the newer SG repaints match Diaclone, KISS players, Obscure G1 characters, etc. Kind of like dual purpose figures. Patriot Devy doesnt resemble anything to my knowledge other than shattered glass.

BotCon 2008 is when it all started.

pretty much.

Now shut up and take my money!

Very cool. All the SG stuff that keeps popping up makes me regret not getting into that universe. I can't imagine they'll have -that- hard a time selling these repaints. In my eyes Shattered Glass is just as obscure as G2.

I like Hercules but Giant is closer to the depicted images in the SG comic. I would choose a white Giant I would snap it up. some of us like the SG universe, just look at my sig :)

Did anyone else notice they combined them with the limbs swapped left to right? Exgraver is now the left arm, etc.

I'm more interested in buying these than the green version, because SG Constructicons have never gotten any toy before!

It's basically to show that it's SG... or a mirror of sorts.

I love Shattered Glass but Giant or GTFO. There's no way I'm putting down $500-$600 for a redeco of those figures. Especially when I much prefer Giant. I would happily buy that.

Love it, want it, but only buying it if the price is really reduced.

this would work better for me in terms of looks than a SG Giant. I liked the look of green Hercules, but not as a Classics Devy so much when compared to Maketoys version. This sort of fixes that problem, whilst they're still essentially cool toys.

problem is the price, and that I don't collect Shattered Glass. So...not made to appeal to me, but I do think it looks good.

With respect to repaints, Maketoys is in a lot better shape due to their price point. Heck, they've aleady done it once with green Giant which would technically be a repaint from the yellow.

At $350, I'd definitely consider a SG repaint of Giant over this.

I'm surprised TFC are bothering with a Shattered Glass Hercules at all, nevermind that they got to it before MakeToys.

I for one certainly won't be getting this as I have zero interest in Shattered Glass, nor in payingtwice for such an expensive set.

As lame as it is, I admit I do like the robot they made out of all the spare parts and weapons.

Since Hercules was such a success and they have a ton of other projects going on I can see this going for significantly less than the original Hercules. Why would they bother if they were going to charge $99? Especially since Shattered glass is so hit or miss with the fandom. I personally love the SG universe but with so many awesome projects coming out this would be a tough sell for any price.

I don't know why so many this is going to cost less than Hercules... there's no way. This is guaranteed to be an incredibly smaller run than Hercules, if they do indeed go through with it... bigger runs, means cheaper prices & vice-versa. There's no way this is going to be cheaper. Sure, they now "have the molds" already ready made or what-not... but I highly doubt it's enough to compensate for how small this run will likely be.

Just an opinion... don't get your hopes up ya'll!

It's neat, but I'm not interested. I like Shattered Glass sand all, but these figures just don't do it for me.

SG Giant on the other hand, I'd be all over.
