Not bad, but really awe-inspiring. Sacrifices to combine or not, unless Hasbro goes all out with FOC, this is probably going to be the closest to a decent dinobot team we're going to see in a while.

I don't mind the removable tales as a design choice all that much. It's clear they already mount on the combiner, so I'm hoping they either mount somewhere on the individual bots or can be wielded as shields. Another point of concern is the combiner feet apparently only having a peg to secure them.

My only real gripe is they stuck to the 5 bot style. Giving "the leader" body duty makes him suffer the most in scale and design. After the excellence (and hugeness) of Hercules, I would have preferred a 6th extra thing able to store the feet and become the waist so this guy could really measure up to Herc.

Speaking of which, this IS TFC, so why aren't there comparisons to Hercules?

I don't think I am going to be buying these guys. I don't think they look all that great so far and they are going to be silly-expensive.

Although, I think if they hook up a nice paint scheme my opinion might change.

I can't even tell which is Sludge or Slag from the robot mode. I'd buy them at Hasbro prices but not third party prices.

IDK, like the TFClub Devy, I'm just not feeling this. Maybe it's because having them as a combiner instead of individual bots forces their bot modes to be generic. I think the concept is nice, but I think I'd rather go for solo Dino's. Still, there is a market for this, but its just not for me.

with all the effort into making dino combiners youd think someone would make an upgrade for classics devy as there are literally thousands of them out there whether theyre energon or the classics release.
now im starting to get combiner fatigue :BANG_HEAD: :BANG_HEAD:

are they planning on just keeping grimlocks head as the combiner head? kinda throws off the proportions. combined mode looks pretty good albeit kinda small(compared to herc). individual forms dont look good enough to buy it just to keep them in individual form. its still a prototype so heres hopin they can make some adjustments :-?

I like that they combine.Feel that the combiner head is a bit small. Some complain but i like some changes here and there.Besides as others said you could just not combine them. I would like to see modern/classic take on the Stunticons and Menosor. Maybe Motormasters's trailer into a weapon station and then transform into the main body.

yeah swoop isn't bad, snarl is the next best of a bad bunch. the combined mode looks much better than the individual bots, but I wouldn't have bought this for the combined mode, so unless the coloured versions really kick ass, i'll not be sad to miss this lot.

must admit, that after looking at the pictures of the individual robots - i'm less than impressed with the individual robot modes.

yes this looked really impressive in its combined factor, but its individual components are less than satisfactory...i missed out on dino's the first time round....and unless Fall Of Cybertron delivers well on dinobots, I am deffinately missing out on this 3rd party offering

I noticed that too. I'm still on the fence on if I like it or not. Is the combined mode a new state or just a (PCC-style) tricked out Grimlock?

No thanks. Slag and Swoop look good in robot mode and all but Grimlock look really nice in dino mode. I don't like how all their tales are detachable. And please tell me that that is not the official place for the gestalt's feet when they're in alt-mode.

This set looks great! It retains a similiar transformation sequence as the original Dinobots plus let's them combine. In the community we here complaints of it not up-holding the G1-ness of a figure, guess what you have it right here and with a nice twist. I will be getting this set.

I was wondering where Swoops wings disappeared too. Now i know.

All that detachable kibble is quite bothersome to me. I don't like ANY of the individual bots either in alt or bot modes. The only thing i like about this figure is the combined mode.

I actually like what I'm seeing. Except for Grimlock; the proportions in robot mode seem off thanks to the combination gimmick.

I don't fault them for making the tails detachable. Classics Grimmy did that, as did other official TFs. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and think that there's some way to utilize them in robot mode.

Has anyone else noticed the crystal block under Grimlock in T-rex mode? He better be able to stand on his own.

Fair enough, that set is still my stand in. Honestly, it's my favorite set of combiner molds from Energon. They were just so much more solid than the others to me. You could also get the best range of motion from them with slight fiddling. I still love the set. That's why I'd love for FansProject to upgrade them. I'm fairly alone in that anymore. I'm looking forward to Giant but kits for that (on par with the Explorer and Munitioner) could be just as amazing to me.

I own nearly every combiner mold we've gotten in the states (Skipped ROTF Supreme Dev)and some we haven't. Only 6 of them are not parts-formers. RID Landfill, RID Railracer, BW Magnaboss, BW Tripredicus, ROTF Legends Dev and ROTF Supreme Dev. Not sure why removing parts would be daunting to you here. It's not an issue to me and I'd much rather remove giant pieces than have them hang off. Just a difference in taste I suppose. I'm liking the way this looks. I hope it turns out nicely. If not, well, no loss. ;)

Unless hasbro doesnt make some Fall of Cybertron Dinobots,I'm actually looking forward to getting this. I guess that I gotta wait for a colored version and a revealed price before I make a decision.

But lets all pray for Fall of Cybertron Dinobots to be good so we dont have to spend so much on this
