Unless the Hasbro one fits my needs, but I'm skeptical since I saw the Groove will be a chest piece or weapon and not a limb.
I would wait for maketoys guardia. Theyre skipping the scales issue and making a G1 sccurate groove as a limb. If I buy Hasbrosor with the groove chest it will just be for s**t and giggles and to display the team as individual bots. And I wouldnt be suprised if belzeboss has shifted their attention from slingshot to groove.
I'm not getting Guardia since I prefer the TFC size to the Maketoys size ... though the MT combiners scale pretty well with the CW figures, so I am starting to rethink that decision.
I like your thought about Belzeboss, I hope they do a CW-esque Groove as a limb. That would be pretty sweet!!!
Rated X wrote:I thought TFC downsized their figures to deluxe scale ? Their streetwise is pretty much the same size as generations drift in both modes from the pics ive seen. If thats the case then it really all boils down to how you want your groove to look. If its going to be out of scale G1 vintage style, just gimme a Harley. Screw that concept racing bike that has nothing to do with law enforcement.

I think I'm even changing a few minds among my friends with my hype train.

Could be the cantankerous voices have largely moved on, knowing this isn't for them? I'm one of those.
Some of the individual bots are really nice (i.e. Blades) but overall I'm still not digging the set. Especially in combined mode.
true, but thats not X's styleDelta Magnus wrote:But Hasfensor already has a Groove- and he's a proper motorcycle, and he's (mostly) in scale.

Autobot Genocide wrote:Streetwise looks awful to me just looks like a really lazy robot design and transformation the alt mode looks really good though .
Groove is the opposite robot looks great with loads of detail and the bike I guess I haven't warmed up to it yet .
Autobot Genocide wrote:The legs. my first thoughts were they don't look good and as i've looked another couple of times I still think the same.
Autobot Genocide wrote:I would complain about the vehicles having no transformation as limbs but with fp menasor I can't really say much but when I look at that car & especially the bike I cant help but think it needs something else just a couple of twist and turns after all this is TFC and not FP .

While I'm still "meh" on Gumball, and don't like Groove's new alt mode at all, I really think the combined mode captured Defensor really well, and even Groove looks good as a limb.
I'll definitely be getting this once one of the retailers does a set at a discounted combined price.
