The Official Transformers Collectors' Club has posted the cover and preview of their soon to be shipped club magazine issue 43. The cover (see thumbnail, click here to get a better look) features Animated Motormaster and Optimus Prime by artist Marcelo Matere. Here's what you can expect inside:

LeVar Burton sat down with the TCC to discuss his cartoon character and offer a behind the scenes look at Transformers: Rescue Bots. Jim Sorenson and Bill Forster bring us the first installment of the new Transformers: Animated Almanac Addendum TCC feature (with an awesome magazine cover to tie in to the new feature). MTMTE Profiles spotlighting the amazing art of Matthew Armstrong debut this issue as well. And if that wasn't enough, Flint Dille fleshes out a deleted scene from the original Transformers Animated movie, brought to life in the all-new Transformers story "A Flash Forward"! This is first time a deleted scene from the '86 movie has been illustrated in comic form and can be seen now, in Issue 43 of the Transformers Collectors' Club Magazine!

First the Stunticon Job, Now this...
My yearning for Animated Knowledge is growing! It's almost like Animated ended to JUST to put me through misery...
Yes, I loved animated that much. Were are the Season four comics that were going to happen maybe?

While we're at it, how about Season 3 on DVD, huh? Did they forget to put that season out?

I skipped out on Seasons 1&2 until Season 3 was out.

That may prove to be a stupid idea, unless they finally, finally, finally come out with a "complete series" boxed set.

I would also kill for a continuation of the series in comic form.
That would be excellent!

I never picked up the comics, as they were just a rehash of the series.
Without new content it seemed like a waste.

I wish they'd just continued Animated instead of bringing up Prime...

The TFCC magazines are kind of just okay overall, but I can't wait for this issue. New Animated profiles and a deleted scene in comic form written by Flint Dille? Giddy-up!

So glad I became a club member in 2010.

Though, none of this is continue the story of Animated, just doing more of what the Almanacs did (expanded the universe, but not the plot).

[quote="rpetras"]I never picked up the comics, as they were just a rehash of the series.[/quote'Not all of them were. The six-issue "Arrival" mini-series featured all new stories that took place between episodes.

TFCC just tweeted a preview image from their club magazine issue No. 43. We see the "Runabros" reenacting Optmius Prime and Megatron's famous lines from Transformers: The Movie to a "mysterious" new force.

Here's a shot from Iss. 43 of the TCC Magazine. The Runabros r recapping TFTM to a mysterious new force in the galaxy!

I went back and watched all 3 Transformer movies again. Never came aross this exchange of dialog once. Where are they getting this from? Sounds like the author goofed. Oh well, until they get it right, make mine MARVEL!

*edit*

Also makes me wonder if people think the movies are the beginning of the transformers franchise?

Ok. I went back and watched the Animated Movie: Darkness Rising. Still did not find this dialog anywhere. Most of it was focused on Dark Energon. Seems like TFCC is just trying to drum up interest for their club memeberships by fabricating dialog. Am I missing something, or are you guys in cahoots with the author? :-?

"Transformers: The Movie" released in theaters in 1986, following two years of the cartoon series "The Transformers" which is affectionately referred to today as "Transformers: Generation One".

If you've never seen the original animated film, you can see it on the evening of Saturday, February 18th on TV network "The Hub". :)
