I think that's the key to this even being viable (from a business standpoint) is being able to have the commitment of all the people buying ALL the figures... that assures that it's simplified ordering, shipping and record keeping...] instead of having different numbers for each figure, and a staff keeping track of who ordered how many of what.

As it is, you only have one list and one quantity... and it's a quantity that's high enough to be realistic approaching a factory to manufacture... and to still have it affordable to us... and leave them making a little money, too.

Sadly, you break that formula, and it's no longer good for ANY party in the equation.

A subscription party is about the only option for seeing these fan favorites like Scourge, Slipstream, Beast Wars characters...

As much as I was hyped about some of these figures before, this blind release policy and the over all cost are really putting a crimp into this whole thing. These aren't Kreons. For $90+ a pair, I'd like to know what I'm getting. I may have to pass on the whole thing.

If it makes anyone feel better, when ordering some of the more popular joes individually from an online website you Pay $45 plus shipping (quarrel, claw, cover girl).

So a TF for $50, compared to a 3 3/4 inch joe doesn't sound so bad.

If they allowed you to order only those you wanted, they know there would be some that would hardly sell. Thus, you have to buy the whole shebang to keep prices lower.

You should expect to pay significantly more for Scourge, Breakdown, and Slipstream when buying on eBay, I would imagine.

Hate to say it, but looks like I'll pass on this go around. I would rather have the MP Soundwave, Sideswipe, Thundercracker, and Prime coming out........

Just got another email from the club and they are correcting a typo from the earlier email.

Hello all you Transformers Fans! #2

Just a resend to correct a typo on #5 below. It had a sentence left over from the GI Joe version of the FSS. Below is now correct. One figure ships a month for six months., there are no pairings. Their program has 2 figures a month for six months. Nobody caught the left over sentence.

Have a great weekend!

Brian

The FSS will go live today. You can check the club site later for the url. Thanks for your patience while we got this finished. The system is very simple from the user perspective. The complicated part is the part you don't see as we have to be able to installment bill, change shipping docs, change cc info, etc. The admin side is VERY complicated.

I hope that the information below will answer most of your questions. If you have more, use the link at the club or registration site and we will answer and post them at the FAQ.

Someone has already asked about the shipping. This is figured for where you live, but to give you an idea from TX to NY for one sub is about $59 total for all six shipments which breaks down to just under $10 per shipment. The insurance would be $21 total for the entire sub (not per shipment). This is via Priority Mail. Fedex is slightly lower.

For those who are overseas or Canadian, you can choose First Class International if you order only 1-2 subs. Over that amount pushes past the 4 lb limit and this option goes away. However be aware about the insurance (same $21) as if you don't take it, we cannot be responsible for mis-delivered or damaged items).

Example International rates for one sub:

Canadian rates for International 1st class from TX to AB is under $11 per shipment or under $66 total.

TX to the UK is under $20 per shipment (under $120 total) using International 1st Class.

Thanks again for your support and patience!

Brian

They really should clarify the shipping process and charging. Because it sounds like its going to be the most expensive part of the deal.

Other than that, While I may not have to have ever single figure there, There are quire a few I like.

So I could consider the subscription if the shipping made sense. Don't want to have to end up paying 80 or 100 dollars more for shipping when all is said and done.

Perhaps BBTS and TfSource will have individual sales for the figures, and you could even use the POL from BBTS to combine them all at the end of the subscription. With that said, the payment plan is a bit more appealing.

Ahh... decisions... decisions....

EDIT just saw the correction... hmm seems a bit more palatable now.
Hmm I may just cave in.

Dammit TFCC, yet again you launch something on the 11th hour before a weekend, which means if something goes wrong, then we have to wait until Monday and fume about it.

That said as soon as I'm reunited with my wallet tomorrow, I'll be signing up ASAP.

Just to clarify, for someone based in the UK, there'd be the normal Club sub price (with the various magazines and Depth Charge included) plus the international shipping charge on top of that, plus the exclusive figure subscription charge (which as I read it means 1 of each figure, you can't pick and choose, or order multiples of individual figures) and then the international shipping charge for those plus the optional insurance to guarantee they ever send anything?

Hmmm, those 3rd party products don't looks so bad price-wise now.

That is correct, but the one saving grace for collectors overseas is that a member may order an unlimited number of subscription sets (but you must buy them all as a set so it's full price for multiples).

Hopefully that means that some will buy many sets and overload the aftermarket with them so the prices are reasonable (and shipping would certainly be less ;)).

It also means that members can pay non-members to order sets for them, so ordering in groups in the UK would not be a bad idea at all.

Ditto.
$42 for membership.
$285 for 6-figure subscription
$53-something for cheapest shipping

for two figures (even selling the other four figures)… :-? hmmmmm.

no.

I'm assuming BBTS will be doing these same way they're doing the G.I. Joe ones.
I'll wait it out. :-$

tl;dr

So, how can we order single figures? We'd have to wait for the subscription program to finish? I don't need all 6 figures.... I just want Scourge.

eBay?

Buy a leftover on the TFCC store? Maybe BBTS will stock them individually like they did with the GI Joe sub figures.

Well, that was anticlimactic. Guess I'll wait to find Breakdown on his own, or maybe pool up with a few fellow Canadians.

For those hoping to find Scourge individually, best of luck. Seems like he's the one everyone's salivating over and I don't doubt he'll be going for a heap of cash on eBay.

That you can't buy individuals is a mess. Just shy of 50 dollars a figure, not including shipping and membership fees... No. Just no. Do not want. =;
