A. walmart is a multi billion dollar company who isnt gonna waste their time
B. Curt is a business man who deals in TF's and TF collectables
C. if you missed out then you have to pay period.
everyone gets mad when they missed out, this is what makes it a limited edition and people get mad because they didnt stay up with it. yes scalping sucks but if you really want something you have to know how much it is worth to you. I check all the sites on a daily basis and im scared im gonna miss out on that perfect effect reflector but if i miss it i may have to pay...OH WELL...

Which is why I said it was an apples and oranges comparison, but the logic remains the same. I don't have a dog in the fight, I don't want one. Even if they listed it for the original price I would have passed because I don't have the base figure to put it on.

lol, Snowman set all over again, but worse this time because they barely waited, and the price is more than 300%. Insanity. That's why I'm no longer their customer.

i had payed $385 for my wildrider and then people said it would look better with shattered glass so about 2 months ago i bought shattered glass for $500 now in my honest opinion with the colors it looks better on wildrider so i got hosed for the shattered glass but live and learn. and i got lucky with the snowman i got him at the tail end for i believe $70...sometimes this hobby is hit and miss thats why you have to like the figure enough to pay big bucks for them. thats why after i completed my devy so far with upgrades( and my predaking upgrades come out of my pile of loot) im cutting off crazy devy i think they scalp right out of the gate.

I'll be honest that is a douche bag move and Curt pulled that before with the Snowman Set jumping the price up and up... Now he is lieing to cover his butt.. I will never do buisness with Curt as he is a bad buisness man.. If you post something for a certain price you honor that price as said Walmart in another post. Just because "X" figure at Walmart is $10 and on ebay it goes for $300.00 Walmart doesn't jump the price because it goes for more on ebay... Past examples Tickle me Elmo, Zhu Zhu Pets..etc So even if WM found old stock like mentioned before of WM Dev's they would most likly clearance them out or keep them at original price,that is the way they work..
No matter what way you cut it he should have put them back up at the original cost of $90.00 that they went for.. Not at $300+ because of what they were going for on ebay.. REALLY A DB MOVE!!!!!! Oh ya and he will definetly be selling these on ebay so keep your eyes peeled..

I just bought another TFX-04 Protector Trailer upgrade. I plan to custom paint my own Shadow Scythe tralier. It will be a whole cheaper than the highway robbery price sites are wanting for the real one! The only thing I won't be able to reproduce is his sickle sword. I can live without it.

Look, I understand all of the points brought up. Here's one that hasn't been brought up. On the original Facebook post about the restock, TFSource also said that it's limited to 1 per customer. They could have done the exact same thing, but kept it at the original price, and no big deal...

This just screams bad business to me. I understand that TFSource is a sponser(sp?) of the site, and I appreciate that the news crew went to Curt to get some answers, but this is ridicilous. He was just trying to make some extra $$$, and ripping his customers off in the process...

Wow, I'm done with TFSource.

I've spent literally thousands with them. That is done as of now. How disrespectful can you get? This is outright scalping and I can't believe for one second Curt "magically didn't know" he had an inventory of one of the most coveted 3rd Party products to come out in some time. Bull. He got busted and now he's upset.

I will never buy another thing from TFSource.

I won't go into too much of my opinion as It will be available for all to listen to on the new episode of the Twincast along with the opinions of the rest of the Twincast crew's.

However I will say, this dose not reflect well on them.

Know what the best part is?

He sits there claiming he didn't know right?

Yet, it would have been better for him to lie and say he had them set aside in case units were defective. Instead he actually believes people are that stupid to think he 'forgot'.

I bet FansProject just loves the fact that one of their retailers decides they can sell things at secondary mark-up and screw them out of profit too, all while trying to cover it up and pretend it didn't happen by removing the comments on Facebook.

He mentioned return rates of FP products being high, very high, when he says there's a no return policy and that if people have a problem with a FP item, they need to contact the manufacturer for assistance, not TFSource.

Oh, and he turned it around on the fans too. He basically said that if FP sees us bitching about this, we may never see another FP exclusive, and was leaning towards saying that they wouldn't produce any more products, either. He was called on the carpet for that one, but didn't really back down.

How can you defend what he's doing? There's supply and demand, and then there's TFSource. TFSource is clearly scalping, and glad to admit it publicly.

I realize they're a sponsor of the board and that Ryan is limited as to what he can say, but you are your own person, you have your own voice. Are you telling me that you support such actions and just shrug it off?

Seibertron, as a whole, the people included, have more integrity than that. Don't ruin that.

Got busted, then had the audacity to lie to our faces when we're paying his bills.

This is the type of garbage you expect from corporate imbeciles not someone who supposedly cares about the fanbase. And LOL at him trying to guilt trip people and actually throw the FansProject name in there like he's some sort of representative for them.

This started out really sad, and got funnier as time went on.

Is Curt serious? Like is this guy just having a mental meltdown about his own stupidity? Forgetting lie after lie and getting mad about it then yelling at the fans to save his own hide. My God this is epic.

Sad thing is that TFSource often had better prices than BBTS and their customer service was solid.

Oh, and one more thing to be said, and this one's important.

He built the secret stash out of sets he held back, and supposed returns, which aren't supposed to happen, and apparently canceled orders, which also aren't supposed to happen, and he had a waiting list of people who wanted to buy these. He ignored existing customers who were willing to pay, right then, right there to get one of these and he wouldn't allow it so he could save for a rainy day. He ignored and pushed away potential and preexisting customers to make this happen. Is that not slimy? Is that not wrong? I don't recall "We reserve the right to refuse service for any reason" being posted anywhere on their site. And even if it was, this isn't a legitimate reason.

Defending TFSource, selling the item at or around the same price as the secret stash...smells fishy to me. I think there's something going on here.

I have to disagree. My personal experience with TFSourcce's customer service is this:

1st. time: No answer. Multiple emails. Just asking if they had an item in stock and how much shipping would be to my zipcode.

2nd. time: Asked when they'd be getting in the TRNS Valkyrie, their answer was "We don't know. We are getting it at some point, but we can't even tell you right now." (Mind you, others either had it in stock already or were due to receive their shipments.)

BBTS? Answered every question, every time, with class and respect. Yeah, their prices are a bit higher on some things, and they've had a few screw ups along the way, but I'd much rather pay a slightly higher price, skimp on the shipping quality a bit (still comes close to TFSource's), and actually receive my item and quality service. To me, that's worth more than anything TFSource has to offer, now that we know they're willing to screw their customers to make a quick buck.

Curt owned himself by deleting one of the very first Facebook comments that outright said the stock they had was from two MUTUALLY SEPARATE sources

One being a "Secret Stash" and the other being from cancellations.

Some hack-job on TFW is actually trying to defend this B.S by saying oh, they're all cancellations and claiming we're "misinformed", guessed he missed the part where it was literally said on the Facebook [ before they deleted everything of course ] they were coming from two completely different stock sections.

Just keep lying and sending in sheep to cover up your mess,
it's really doing quite a great deal of justice for your customers : ).

I understand you're angry, I do, and I agree with your feelings, but you might want to tone it down a bit.

Not every mod or admin agrees with this situation, and we can voice our concerns, but we cannot demand certain things.

It's not worth getting in trouble over, believe me. I speak from experience.

Not demanding; just requesting a reconsideration on what Seibertron.com is truly about. Sponsorship is a good thing, if they represent who you are as an reputable entity. God forbid I step on any toes, but if what we seek is a reputation of a community about that which we share, the site must stand for its members. Now, I'm off the soapbox.

This makes me all really sad, because my experience with them was pretty cool.

I asked if I could pay the City Commander pre-order in two instalments instead of everything upfront and how much shipping would be to my place. Got my reply the same day, and they even let me pay tehy way I wanted to. Then when shipment of the City Commander was delayed due to them moving to a bigger place I got 2 separate e-mails apologising for it.
They where really helpful and kind.

But that was back in 08. Oh well things change.
