TFCC have revealed the new head sculpt for their upcoming subscription service figure (TFSS) Jackpot! The figure is a repaint, and now retool, of Transformers Animated Deluxe Jazz.

Check out his bio and new head design below. Click here to sign up for the TFSS.

AUTOBOT STRATEGIST

JACKPOT coasts through life with a smile and a firm belief that everything will turn out okay. Because for him, it usually does. No matter how dire the situation, things seem to come out all right in the end. Of course, he realizes that sometimes luck needs a helping hand, and can typically find some way to tilt the odds in his favor... even when he's being chased by a pack of angry DECEPTICONS!

There's something I've been confused about with these 6 subscription figures: Are they considered to be in the Generations/G1(-ish) continuity? Or do they belong in the continuity that the original tooling of each figure belongs to? Like, is Jackpot from Animated? Or Ultra Mammoth from the Beast Era, and Slipstream from Prime? Or do they all fall under the giant obscure blob of G1 and G1 spin-offs continuity?

I would guess these all just fit under "universe", which is what most figures from tfcc fit under. That way, you can have figures from different series and styles mingle without being to anal about it.

Okay, I may be the only fan who intends to sign up for the subscription service partly because I actually want Animated Jackpot, but this seriously seems like a waste. I mean, I like this head better, but Animated Jazz's head looks enough like Jackpot's already.

There are 2 extra touches FunPub can throw on to win me over though:

1: Toss in a blue/charcoal Laserbeak/Sideman repaint named Sights; yes, I know Jackpot probably won't be able to interact with him in any way besides surfing on his back, like his Action Master could thanks to Sights's pegs lining up with the standard AM foot pegs...

2: In keeping with a gambling motif, his bio MUST attempt to tie him to the Convertors Spies, half of whom turned into casino machines, and a cash register.

Zardak and the Maladroids were already worked into one TF continuity, and sentient gadgets like pinball machines would work perfectly in Animated, either as Transformers or Sunyak Sumdak Industries' creations.

Great looking head... I totally wasn't expecting them to do a new head for this guy, since his was passably close to Jazz. (has visor.)

I think their making a new head for this is a nice good faith gesture. Props there. :APPLAUSE:

They'll all most likely be sold under the "Transformers: Timelines" label that all Fun Pub figures seem to be sold under nowadays.

Though, fiction-wise, I'd say Slipstream is WFC/Prime, Ultra Mammoth is Beast Era, Jackpot is Animated, Scourge is most likely RiD (unless he's another RiD-homage Wings Universe character), and Circuit and Breakdown are some form of G1.

Sucks. I was hoping it was going to be a classics head making good use of an car mode that is not so cartoonish. IMHO I believe Funpub was thinking classics when they did Slipstream, not TF Prime. They just chose a slender body since it's a female. I hope she gets a new head sculpt and it's not too Primish...
