Doesn't he already pay most th existing bill?

All I know is that I've had bad experience with their web host.

I'd be inclined to agree with g6s6 and GR here, but I don't know what goes on behind the scenes.

Tony front's most of the bills to keep that place running out of his own pocket, that fund was for a new server, and site related upgrades for the server, etc.

I'd have thought you would have understood that from running your own site TFM.

Of course I understand it. But what is the point to donate anything himself? It all goes back into his pocket anyway...so if he did it so he looked good then at least make it look good buy putting in more then a single buck.

Not to mention that the ask amount was originally alot lower then what they hope for now.

It really costs up to seven grand or more to upgrade a server?

I don't know about anything past my own site so I don't know what it takes but isn't that amount a bit high?

The increased asking amount was to let people know that they can still use donations. The extra money goes to either getting an even more powerfull server, or getting new software to let them do more with the server.

Its nice that their fans are willing to pony up the money.

I think the part I like the best is how much hate they're paying for.

Oh my. The stories I could tell you, expecially about the AllSpark, but TFW also. The AS was down for almost 4 months. When it came back up, they had a donation drive to get a new virus program. Well, it got hacked again. When once more it was online, I asked Kal what happen with the virus shield. He told me he got a free one, and the money that was donated specifically for Viruses, he was spending on Allspark cyber keys. Where's the keys, hum? He quite literally took the money and ran with it.

TFW has some similar stories. This is why I don't donate to sites. I don't feel apreciated, and my money has a good chance of not being used correctlly.

Transtopia is the only place I would donate to if it was asked of me.

Well, in all fairness, they're not ALL hatemongers... unless you count by association... then yea, they're all hatemongers....

Found me some pics of the mongers... On their own picture sites no less.

I find it funny that its cool with these guys to be such a$$holes. To someone they haven't even bothered to talk to personally. But I guess that's what they're into. Private Bashing.

Oh yea.

I'm not a site sponsor so I can't see what's up in this thread... but somethings up, its been growing pretty quickly.

Anyone able to see it and fill us in?

Oh dude. That's just cold right there. I'm so sorry. Would you care for me to ignore it or say "This isnt funny in the least" or say something really mean? I'm giving you the option because it's really your choice.

Holy crap!

Well I have to say I am kinda shocked. TFW and AS come off as the "ultimate" in fan-based news and information. But I guess they're just run by humans after all.

That sucks for the people who gave their money.

Thx.

I'm really not looking to engage these guys. I mean I've tried in the past and they've refused to talk to me direclty, choosing instead to escalate and get more offensive. I got banned from TFW for trying to stick up for myself and RSP... so I wouldn't want to cause you or any other member trouble over there. Sick as it is I think I'd rather not cause you any trouble by getting involved.

Though your offer is much appreciated.

Would like to know what's generating so many hits to our site from this tread... (can't see it....)

I'm not sure but they have the link to the pic on your site in their thread that you linked to in this thread. Don't know if it would work that way or not but that's the only think I can find!

If they're linking to an image on his site, it'd show up in his webstats.

The forum they're using is a private one that only people who donate $25 or more get to enter.

A private bashing room if you will.

Oh well... the fuzzy world topic has been removed...
