Generations Drift.
I kept passing him up because he looked so bland. I finally caved in and bought him. No regrets!

DOTM Skids
I Love the twins, but DOTM Skids waa a real surprise. He's VERY sturdy in both modes, and the placement of mechtech holes is genius.

Nitro BB. He's just awesome.

There are more, but not right now.

Figure I thought I'd like but end up HATING with a passion: DotM target Exclusive Voyager Starscream.
Opaque red plastic for the eyes and cockpit over the clear one (variant, I know, shut up)... Elbows bend the wrong way... Hands sticking out of the jet's butt because they don't fold like the outdated manual tell you.
I was not disapointed. I RAGED!

Figure I bought on a whim just to see and I ended up LOVING it: Marvel Crossover Ironman Car.
Sure, totally lacking paint aps. Simple desing. I wanted to have at least ONE X-over figure and chose him. I paid the full 22$+tax price too. I thought I would have buyer remorse.
Man, was I wrong! The vehicle, even with poor paints aps, have a solid desing. The transformation is easy and a lot of fun. What's more, the robot mode is also nice looking. The bad reviews surprised me. This is a TF I like and it actually impressed me!

Not sure if "loving" is the right word, but I really like PRID Cliffjumper.

When Takara announced they were going to release zombie CJ in a purple color scheme, I decided to cave in and get PRID Cliff to custom into a proper zombie mode.

Now, FE Cliff IMO is superior in every way. Paint, transform, lack of "cheats" like the chest. But man, there is no denying the PRID mold is just fun. I really like his back kibble situation a lot better, and his leg transform is cool.

I actually may get a second to custom up into a dwarf-bot. His diminutive size, war hammer and horns make it almost too much to ignore.

Rise Gimli-tron!

Universe Snowcat. Can't say I love it, but it's become more acceptable as time passed. I got it as a gift, so I can't really complain.

Couldn't stand his potbelly alt mode at first, but gradually I came to appreciate his good articulation, and the gimmicks with his missile launchers and skis were kind of cool.

I thought RiD Revealers Ratchet would be okay, but he is so awesome. Also, when we first saw pictures of RiD Revealers Bumblebee I didn't think he would be that great, but he is amazing and I love him

I waited and waited for ebay to present me with the oppertunity to buy a grey and purple henkei classics astrotrain for a decent price but realized my wait was in vein.
I then decided to go ahead and buy the white one. I was certain I was going to hate it since I am a stickler for classic colors on my figs but I ended up liking him and ultimately loving the figure.
He looks great with my collection. Now if I could only land the grey and purple version as well as the white toon colored classics starscream....

Universe Cyclonus. Bought him on a whim, and absolutely love him. Especially with the Targetmaster.

Classics Astrotrain is one of my favorites. I didn't get him right away, but I am really glad I did. The train mode is kind of "meh" but the bot mode is good, the shuttle is good, and he has a good transformation.

G1 Snarler and Junior Chromedome.

Neither were favorites of mine. Thought Snarler was an a-hole in the Marvel comics and Chromedome was hidious but I took a chance and really like the toys.

Snarler is surprisingly articulate in bot mode and Chromedome is close in scale to the Diaclones. Even has diecast on him.

Kup was another surprise. Never liked him but I eventually picked up the reissue and he's actually a nice toy. Be nice if one of those custom heads for Generations Kup would fit him as I think his G1 head is a bit plastic and childish looking.

Agree. I didn't get Astrotrain while he was in stores, but eventually decided to bite. He really is a decent upgrade to his G1 self. I like him much mode than i thought I would.
Another one would be Cybertron Dirt Boss. I won him in a lot and couldn't put him down for days. His wheels are so cool.
Monster Truck- "Once I catch up I'll crush your weak frame"
Image
Speed Mode- "Ever go 100+ in the mud?"

Even with all his back kibble he has a great amount of poseability

Haha, I thought so. He might be hard to find since he is 1/12 or 2/12 per case. Bumblebee is awesome to though.

I bought DotM Voyager Optimus at Walmart today. It had been tampered with, someone got into it and ripped his head off. It was missing. So I got the figure at 50% off. I didn't care about the head, because it was going to be in truck mode, and I was going to mutilate it some more anyway. I bought it to see if the Deluxe trailer fits in scale with him in truck mode. After cutting and filing down those fin-looking things on his rear fenders and properly attaching the trailer, it's a perfect fit! Definitely a $7 well spent. Awesome.

Also, after 2 1/2 years I finally sold myself on the RoTF Jet Convoy combo. I managed to snag an already combined, loose complete (minus instructions) Prime and Jetfire on eBay for $100 shipped. I wasn't sure, if I didn't like it, it was going to be $100 wasted (considering that they're going double that on average, I think I still got a deal) but when I got him today and set him on my desk, I was extremely pleased. Once again, awesome. 8)

I picked up PRID Arcee the other day, wasn't really sure I'd like it, almost didn't even pick it up, but wound up liking it a lot. Sure it's a little kibbly, and massively out of scale in alt mode, but it just so cool I can overlook this stuff and appreciate it for what it is.
