Marvel's anime are pretty awesome!

Here is my view on some of them:

-Iron Man:This anime is mostly episodic series, with each episode contributing a little to larger story, that is finished in the last two episodes.Pretty good to watch. :PEACE:

-Wolverine:The action scenes are pretty solid and fun.The story is good but sometimes it looses focus.Pretty cool! 8)

-Blade:I haven't watched it yet.

-X-men:Pretty interresting story,it really show the X-men as a team and you really feel a their emotions as you're watching.Character development is great.Wolverine is fun while also being a badass. This feels more tied together than the others anime(s).Very worth to watch. ;)^

By the way,the trailers for Iron Man and Wolverine have almost nothing to do with the actual anime.

How about a Transformers anime written by Hideo Kojima? :-?

None of the words in that sentence fit together appropriately. I'm not trusting of Transformers anime since the Unicron Trilogy, and Hideo Kojima's storytelling ability isn't all that different from Evangelion.

What I'm saying is, an anime on par with the good stuff, like FMA and Gurren Lagann and so on. Animation and characters like that would be awesome! They would have to watch the gore, inuendo, and language though...

As for Hideo Kojima doing it, IDK, his story might be to much for most TF fans to handle. Still, a little more complexity isnt always a bad thing. I want to see the TF franchise break away from the norm of saturday morning cartoons on my TV, not be all CG like TF Prime, even though Prime is going down the right path so far...

You watch Galaxy force, and you'll get just a tiny amount of what I'm getting at. The episode centered around Wingsaber, Lori, and Thunderblast is classic in BOTH the subbed and dubbed versions

But making a full blown anime out of it by today's standards, while it sounds cool, wouldnt work... It would have to be WAY to tame.

Funny thing about gore, is that robo-gore is perfectly acceptable. It counts as fantasy violence, so you can pack it on without so much as a slap on the wrist. You remember how Bulkhead told Miko to look away as he disemboweled that Vehicon? He didn't realize that on Earth, robo-gore is a-okay.

It's not too much for most fans to handle, it's just too incomprehensible for people to handle. MGS2 ending, for instance.

I haven't watched Cybertron, nor do I intend to. But if you're going to use that as the pinnacle of Japanese-based Transformers storytelling, that creates a problem; like how 25% of the series is dedicated to unnecessary race scenes.

That, and they still couldn't animate a Transformers decently.

BeastProwl wrote:But making a full blown anime out of it by today's standards, while it sounds cool, wouldnt work... It would have to be WAY to tame.

Did you see the Michael Bay movies? You know, one of the highest-grossing movie franchises in recent history? The film series that yanked us out of niche, kicking and screaming, and showed our hobby to the masses, to have literal boatloads of cash thrown back? The ones with both human and robo-gore in nearly equal amounts? You look at that and tell me Transformers have to be tame.

Transformers on TV that kids might watch? Has to be tame...
Also, dude, Galaxy force RULES. I mean, it's not the BEST anime out there, but it's just cool. I am not asking you to watch the poopy american version, but I will ask you to give the Subbed version a try. In japan, it is a stand alone series, so It's got its own storyline that doesnt sequel anything really.

The only good thing about the Bay movies are the way the cybertronians transformed. I thought that was cool. The story was twisted and ruined. I barely watched any TF anime besides Robots In Disguise and Beast Wars 2. Not bad. Now if there was a new anime, I might watch it depending on what the story is about. The art style has to be good too. Not this bs where the humans eyes are bigger than their faces. And I just watched the first episode of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. It seems it's pretty much like a Shaman King knock off or vise versa. Which ever one that came out second is the knock off.

Nope, still a sequel, it was Takara that came up with the idea that the Black hole that was created by the death of Unicron screwed up the universe so much that stuff changed, that's also why Megatron in Cybertron has Unicron parts.
Also Glaxy force has the biggest plot hole of them all, in the beginning f the show Cybertron is devoured by the black hole, yet the Autobots still manage to communicate and well visit the planet although you know it's been sucked up by a black hole.

Someone mentioned a Blade anime, I went and found the teaser for it and I have to say epic lolz at how they pronounce his name

Looks pretty cool though.

Also I would say the Japanese should not make Transformers shows, they all suck the only one that doesn't suck is Masterforce and that's not even a proper Transformers show, the director even admitted that he got carried away and that if you left out all the names it would have zero in common with TF.

But yea Gurren Lagann's a pretty cool robot parody anime.

It had a few good moments, unfortunately those moments were sandwiched between massive art, animation, and scripting errors.

Oh, man, that takes me back. I watched it waaaaaaay back when it aired on Toonami. I never did see the end of the series, though. Closest I came to it was seeing the one episode on Adult Swim's April Fools "joke" last month.

Yuyu Hakusho was epic. Anybody watch Blue Submarine #6? What's that about? I never watched it back in the day and I caught the one episode back in april.

A mad scientist causes mass flooding, destroying a good portion of the Earth, then begins attacking the survivors with human-animal hybrid monsters. It's only four episodes long, and, like you, the Adult Swim episode was my only real exposure to it.

A live action scene of anime. So I thought this should fit well. I thought it was cool because I'm also a martial arts fan too.

Yeah I should've said it was Naruto instead of leaving you guessing 'till you clicked it. My bad. But they're American actors that just happen to know Japanese. Their Street Fighter x Tekken short was awesome too. In this, using the dark hadou awakens the devil gene inside.

Even if they don't, I wouldn't mind. It's how it was presented was awesome. Like how Hulk vs Wolverine ended.

So in Naruto, I've only read up to wear he defeated Pain. But I hear it's gotten way more epic since then so I might get back to reading it.

Dude, it parodies everything from Gundam to Transformers and it's not the first to do that.

Gunmen = Gundam is the most obvious.
Gunbuster, just google that and take a look at the images you'll see what I mean.

I noticed one or two TF references when I watched it but can't point them out to you.

Then there is Viral's Gunman who looks a hell of a lot like the bots from Neon Genesis.

A few cameos here and there but no, it isn't. Cameo =/= parody. You're thinking of Megas XLR. Yes, it started as a parody of the Super Robot genre, but by Episode 8 it walked right past parody into the genuine article.

It ended as a parody too, the whole end fight with the sheer ridiculousness and had a very "Oh look, this is what happens in these kinds of shows" feel to it. Just because it was serious at times doesn't make it less of a parody. It even included a time jump as a joke of "ha, remember how you somehow manage to miss a few super important episodes with shows like this and feel left out?"

Just because it was over-the-top doesn't make it a parody.

What? Time-skips aren't a form of parody, tons of shows use them. Gundam 00 and Gundam AGE both did it twice each, and Gundam is a staple of giant robot fiction.

You made a pretty bad call with this one.
