Semper Tyrannis- Hangar

The young minibot, Wheelie stayed close to Pointblank as he was asked to do, all the way up to this huge window where the Autobots were being told to line up. Wheelie hated the sound of this, hated it a lot. He didn't know what was going on, what was going to happen, but his tiny spark tingled deep inside his chest, his fear very real. He hid behind Pointblank's left leg and stood there, listening to everything going on, and peeking out at the black Decepticon who had trailed them to this location. He had heard what Pointblank and Roadbuster had to say. They felt like this was the end. Wheelie was trying very hard not to think like that. There was always hope...there just had to be...right? Wheelie had a lot to think about in this short span of time before the next "event" occurred, whatever it would bring.

He thought about all he had observed on their way here. There were many types of Decepticons, and he had to note the exact way he had come, mused over the corridors and where they likely led to, and this was Hangar in Semper Tyrannis. He had been here before, been aboard this very ship, and he knew a lot about it's interior. Also....this was a hangar after all that he and his comrades were in right now, and what was plentiful in this hangar right now? Shuttles, and Wheelie knew how to fly a shuttle. The young mech just had to devise a plan, and a plan he could devise on a dime, with a rhyme, at any given time. He just needed to wait for the right time....and so for now he just held fast. He had his sling tucked into a compartment near his hip, and on coming down the halls, he'd picked up some pieces of dislodged metal from the skirmish he had basically caused back in the hallways, having collected those and having tucked those away into a small compartment near his sling for use whenever it deemed needed.

"We'll run, run, run about and see what we can see.
We'll do whatever we can do, happy as can be..."

, his Mother figure's song for him ran through his mind, and he recited it secretly to Pointblank. Here was to hoping there would come that opportune time to act.

Semper Tyrannis – Bridge

"The troops have been informed and the Autobots have an unobstructed view of the Elban moon, as ordered my lord."

A satisfied smile crept on Scorponok’s grim features as a response to Cyclonus’ proclamation. Despite of Jhiaxus’ betrayal - the operation had been a major success for the Decepticons. Perhaps even enough to turn the tide of the war for good. In a one carefully plotted swoop they had taken a resource rich planet of Nebulos and decimated an important Autobot stronghold. In face of all that Jhiaxus’ actions were nothing but a minor setback. But a setback which had soured the victory for Scorponok. This needed to be remedied.



Semper Tyrannis – Hangar

Having been told to move down the shuttle ramp by the Horrorcon Apeface, Skyhammer grudgingly dallied forwards. He was in no hurry. Defeated. Humiliated. He had failed Fortress Maximus. He had failed people of Nebulos. He had failed the Autobots. He couldn’t even get a warning through in time to prevent the Garrus-9 disaster. So why would he hurry? To meet the execution squad? That would actually be a relief right now. He’d rather face that than the accusing optics of his fellow Autobots or the gloating of the victorious Decepticon horde. Then again, the Decepticons had had plenty of chances of executing them. Why they hadn’t? All the stories about Decepticon firing squads and melting pools – he knew they weren’t just Autobot propaganda. He had seen proof of them himself. So why?

*CLANK* ”I said move!”

As Apeface’s rifle stock connected hard with his back and send him stumbling down the ramp into the hangar proper, Skyhammer reconsidered his position for a moment. Pulling himself up from the cold metal floor, Skyhammer glanced back at the large Decepticon standing at the top of the ramp, who was staring him back through the combination of a red optical visor and facial mask that made the Horrorcon’s face expressionless. As he began limping behind the rest of the Autobots from his shuttle with his gaze towards the floor, he couldn’t but wonder about all these visors and masks so many Cybertronians wore. Particularly his captors Apeface and Snapdragon. Why did they even bother?

Both Horrorcons seemed to take unhidden joy in causing pain to others. What purpose did these masks they wore serve? Megatron had never hid behind one. Then again Optimus Prime was rarely seen without his. Though probably for a good reason. The Autobot leader’s compassion and empathy would likely be too visible on his face otherwise. Not too good trait when you wanted to intimidate Decepticon warriors. Or perhaps a sign of some greater insecurity. Yet he had no idea what it possibly could be. Not when it came to Optimus of all people. Too bad he had no better idea of the reason behind Apeface’s mask. Or Snapdragon’s.

Suddenly the Autobot walking before him stopped, invoking Skyhammer to take a look at his surroundings. They were still in the hangar. All the Autobot prisoners from the shuttles and some others. Fortress Maximus. Few Wreckers. People that had been under his command being vastly outnumbered by those that had been stationed to Garrus-9. So many were missing. Hopefully taken to the other Decepticon ships. Too many likely fallen in the battle. Each of them had their hands tied behind their back with energy chains. All escorted before an unobstructed view of the moon below through the open hangar bay doors. Unobstructed view yes but not free of the ship’s artificial gravity to be jettisoned into space. He could sense an energy barrier having been generated over the opening. They weren’t going anywhere. And they were surrounded by hangar full of Decepticons This was a rally.



A massive hologram of the Decepticon leader Scorponok appeared before the crowd gathered into the hangar and the Decepticons raised their voices to ear deafening roar, many rising their fists into air to celebrate.

”My fellow Decepticons! Words... Words cannot describe the pride I feel over all we have accomplished together today! You fought with bravery. You fought with purpose. You fought for freedom! Today we took a major step towards the final Decepticon victory!” The deep, commanding voice of the victorious warlord boomed across the hangar.

”This victory did not come without a cost. A burden that keeps growing every vorn this accursed war continues without a resolution. Today we lost many good Decepticons. Our brothers and sisters who did not deserve their fates. We will honor them and mourn them. But none of them. None of them died in vain. We will end the war. We will carry the torch and turn Megatron’s vision of a new, better Cybertron to a reality. We are Decepticons. We do not falter. Long live Megatron! Long live the Decepticons!”

”VICTORY! VICTORY! VICTORY TO DECEPTICONS!

With Scorponok’s first roar for victory as his que, Apeface – who was still standing back at the top of a shuttle ramp which provided him a good view over the Autobots and Decepticons assembled into the hangar - inputted a command into the open command interface panel in his arm and sent out a signal into the moon below. Triggering the geobomb he had delivered deep into the mines by Scorponok’s command.

As Scorponok raised his voice for his final victory roar, the crust of the moon below began to crack in quick succession. Moonwide tremors rocked Elba to its very core and every last vestige of Garrus-9 was swallowed up in cascades of collapsing terrain until, like a final gasp, the whole rock exploded and everything that had been now ceased to exist before the optics of all those whom had been gathered to witness the occasion across the 2nd Fleet.

And then. Before the debris from the devastated moon reached the fleet – all the Decepticon vessels, one by one – activated their transwarp drives and jumped into hyperspace.

Garrus-9 was no more.
