No air control during jump but it is faster than running, jumping and shooting through the ennemies can be easier than waiting cowardly.Very spamy game.

DARK SOULS can be trivialized by escaping ennemies, shield and maxed magic.

Also keep in mind it's originally an Arcade game, and they're difficult by default so you keep putting more money into the machine.
The resident Rewind... well, half of one

Motto: "I hate Decepticons but Autobot traitors are the worst."
Weapon: Particle Beam Rifle
Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark So many difficulty spikes even on easy. The first noticeable on is in a flying level in one of the cybertronian levels. I think you play as Shockwave and are clearing out a lot of enemies in a Hexagonal room and have to deactivate a lot of security stations.

Tekken 7: Story Mode even on lowest difficulty levels has several spikes in difficulty even on easy and Akuma's extra boss fight is even more crazy, it breaks the rules for a easy setting.

Tekken 6: Azazel this Arcade boss on it's own is more than enough to make this game unfair on many levels.
The Scenario Campaign is tough too. But Alizas' betrayal fight, Mokujin's hidden Scenario level which can only be found on hard and Devil Jin's Nightmare Trains stand out like sore thumbs. :BOOM:

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019: Online Spec-Ops has several tough missions has several HAIR PULLING REALLY TOUGH missions even with a good online team.

Going to say Renegade for the Spectrum though some other formats are even more punishing. Trying to do no treasure run on Spelunky is something that is probably just as hard and not something I've managed yet.

Game I enjoyed most on hardest difficulty was Call of Duty 2.

Here's another contender:

Metroid: Zero Mission Hard Mode 100% Mecha Ridley.
Double Damage, Triple Health, you at half strength or less (two swipes, you dead). One of the few bosses I actually had to plan the battle, that says a lot. Don't get me started on the two black Zebesians at the end...

Predictability and speed matter more than damage,'not spectacular to write but that's true. How hard is damageless for exemple ?One attack very hard to avoid?I said that walljump againts the triple beam of Rospark is impressive but from a particular position that is random.

Mecha Ridley is mostly predictable in his swipe patterns: it's the lead up to the swipe that throws me off at times (how many attacks before?). Combine that with

- a small area to hit
- less and less time to do so the more he is hit
- coming in better range to swipe if you don't hit him during a pass
- limited ammo
- random seeking missiles (for refills, true...)

So yeah, hard to me.

I'd say battletoads, but really its just the racing levels.
Battlequest, I guess because I never got any direction of what I was supposed to do.

I mentionned the Geminispark(i recently thought of using the desorienting weapon better than the gravity, one paralysis instead, the idéal moment is when they are grouped,it doesn't delay the thunder which is important when using the fox or even the shield),Ophiuca is not as difficult but there is a skillful secret:the snake attack can be countered with a sword or tail, she always goes to left before doing it,the targeting works shortly after she moves out,if you transform:don't move, after the first one:stay on side, she never moves in front of you and always goes to the middle before. It works againts Crown as well.Double counter with time bomb(2 in the folder, the third is a LeoEX if possible EDIT:and one gravity but the grass in 2 copies is more damaging and universal,on Dragon at least):when the name of the new card appears but not the earliest, against Wolf:right after the counter and you extend the paralysis with a 9seed shot.

EDIT:it works against Crown with any speed of melee,he will end on left at 2 panels, target for 9seeds shot which you should take 6 copies of.All his next attacks can be countered with melee but kind of randomly:one lock on before he does and it's possible.

The admins use their card attack at the quarter of their HP,they can largely be beaten before or you need the jammers.Crown gain a dangerous amount of speed at 800,he's like a fourth one.A secret way to avoid the card is the short dissapearance after melee,i know that since very long before the edit but to expect someone else to find it accidentaly is naif.Ophiuca will attacks one deplacement earlier if her points are at 500,the randomized paws of Leo seems tied to his points too(the first ones are always the same).

I have imaginated a puzzle mode where you fight to open every doors more or less in the order you want, the cards have only one use but you get some as reward after each fight, even maybe a transformation, counters without them give you back the card for the round,so,the rewards don't obligatory have to be huge for the sake of difficulty. No RNG.
Two cards per round, neutral and identical ones are unlimited.
One optimal order in theory with a real time chrono, there can be boss and giant virus, everything of the highest difficulty.

Fights can be positioned into black sinister balls rather than doors. You can also replace random encounters with them:consistent ennemies and rewards.

The advantage over BATTLE NETWORK is that you cannot destroy bosses with only a few cards but it could have been even more subtle:the side selection should be permanent but limited at two.The goal of transformation is to make cards from counters consistent, except they are too damaging if they don't inflict invulnérability,200 or 400 would be apropriated.I have imaginated this percentage system:non-diming cards fill it with their damage divided by ten,"freeze+break" and "bubble+electric" combination don't reduce that,an "ice punch+cube junk" is a 68% bonus for exemple, the majoritary element is considered and will define the counter card once it is at 100,the neutral version is a 200 points that cancel invulnérability(the only one, that's the advantage of the jammers and ultrasound(two copies) againts wood, the poison version on Dragon and Andromeda) or it can be a 350 breaking one for particular reasons.I have imaginated that againts Leo and i would prefer a 350 with no invul thanks to the ice panels(3 table and 3 burst,2 +10 and one Wolf instead of the favored ink destinated to the very fragile Taurus who doesn't require 9 rains). There may be more oportunity for counters early than late, another advantage can be one extra card adjacent to the second.

I got the idea of 2 sub-elements tied to my percentage idea:some standard cards(not neutral)will recieve one randomly, always both of them,it will be considered at 100% but for what?It may defines the divergences on the card after counter and the advantages like the third card adjacent to the second(which allows virage in sélection) or the faster gauge.Charged card should depend of its identity. There's a point where you tell the player what he can combine like with the BN letters and that simplify things even if the card collection is balanced like SF,beware.

A turbo mode with 50% more speed for everything.I don't care about transformation, satanist POWER RANGERS garbage, each épisode use the same system of attack and deplacement, the first game has the most créativity in level design, they forgot to add more endurant bosses but it has a charm the two others don't have.

I am annoyed that Cancer is more endurant than Libra(counterless fight),1700 versus 1800,he should have entered the 2000's club.It looks like a mistake totally.

The +10's scale well with water and have the secret advantage of not taking your card after counter. It bring us to the saurian who can't use more cards:the secret is to give him a lot of neutral ones, add his charge for multihit, his charged shot that goes through the tornadoes and he becomes the best at using water versus fire,he really has this element in a defensive way.Another exemple is Cuchulain in FF REVENANT WINGS:doesn't attacks with it,immune to stop, resistant to water and magic,to Shiva, better than the horse champion againts her.

Ever wondered what their deplacements are?Jumps! It is more obvious with Leo,Yeti and Dread, there's a lack of animation, nothing to do with the magician from HOUSE OF THE DEAD.

I remember ORDER OF ECCLESIA being mentionned,i forgot to say that it's a trivialisable game because of the cubus attack that petrifies many enemies to death, notably the melee kind:jump forward and use it.That's only if you want to kill every ennemiy because it is not an obligation.I am not exactly the only one who found it during discovery and improvisation but the game's difficulty is too often overated.Boring and forgettable by the way, lack créativity a lot.

GOD OF WAR on the hardest difficulty:i have watched speedruns of it.'not easy but conquerable.Does some people find it unplayable?I care mostly because it is the ancestor of KNACK 2,the bosses are numerous but interactive cutscenes, same with the retarded kind that exposes himself the same way multiple times,EXAMPLE:MARIO ODYSSEY or LUIGI MANSION(in the third:the cat and her mistress, many one-cycle catches have been found),some people try to sell THE WONDERFUL 101 instead of K2:"the game where you're endlesslly attack some narcoleptic ennemies",it is because of the slow motion, less intense than the two others.Being obligated to buy a PS5 for optimal performance is an objective blemish. The hardest difficulty of BINARY DOMAIN is conquerable but it has no speedrun unlike DOOM ETERNAL that is harder which is strange,i suggest to never run in the difficulty under normal:it falsifies your training,a good use of headshots, explosives and secondary weapons can solve everythings rapidly,e-vry-things.

I forgot to mention the multiplayer of CN:STEAM:mostly a mystery,i can already tell that you should always play in the medal mode because it prevents camping with the turn limit at least. You choose the team before entering the multiplayer which suggests a best one:Tom,Scarecrow,Dorothy and with secondary weapons for ambush or obstacle(the punch and the laser can do it),Stovepipe(Mini A.B.E "habéheu") can go through them with stun immunity and his own ambush is supersonic:you can't go through it like againts the aliens(see my speedrun guide) or like in SPLINTER CELL,he can enter the ennemy territory. Some people have been traumatized by the small flyers? At the right position on their sides:you will have a very short opportunity followed by a more reasonnable one, never a full one,no RNG,just précision and all of that matters only for the first frozen underground, only once in the whole game!
