Nah, but one time I ate an apple that had a worm in it. I only noticed the worm hole after I had eaten half of the apple so I don't know for sure if I actually ingested the worm.

A fresh worm probably wouldn't have been bad, but this had been on the counter for a day or two. Needless to say it was a very painful bellyache. Probably not as bad as appendicitis though.

There's little tidbits in there that make me think it's just a joke, but in this day and age it's hard to tell if that's the case or if someone is just that stupid. Unfortunately it lacks the sheer entertaining insanity of, for instance, Time Cube.

I think the article writer thinks it might be a joke as well, but isn't quite sure either, so they just wrote it like that in a way where they seem to be saying it's a joke, but if that person really is that stupid then the article still remains valid.
