Holy cow, if those are what I think they are...

*looks it up*

They are! Those, my friend, from the Machine Robo line, the name of the figure is Helitanser. He's a so-called "Double Machine Robo", similar to our Duocons only without the spring-loaded gimmick. 6 of them were released in Japan, and they even appeared in Europe under the Combinator name. The US instead got the Dread Launchers for Gobots.

Here's a link that may prove useful:

Oh wow!
that's fantastic thank you! Unfortunately mine doesn't have the machine gun and all its joints are pretty loose but that's still really cool!

He has the colors of a Seacon, but in reality he's nothing more than knock-off of a non-Transformer toy. Which one I can't tell you, but if you post it in the New Transformers Knockoff Thread someone may be able to help you.

An acquaintance of mine is trying to identify an unknown piece in his collection, which consists of figures from Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Animated, Prime, and all the movies.

He's taken a few pics of it with his phone, but they are pretty blurry (I've requested that he try taking some with a digital camera if he can):

Bigger versions:

He tried to draw the design seen in the piece if it would help:

After asking him more about the part, he gave the follow descriptions of it:

1. In normal lighting, "It's yellowish, but it looks like it's just photodegradation"

2. Physical dimension measurements: "about 5/8 in long, about 1 1/2 in wide"

3. Round vs. flat: " It's kind of round"

4. Regarding any connection ports/tabs/holes/etc. that it might have, "There are what look like two really small tabs on the back."

5. Structural material: "It's soft plastic over a hard plastic"

And, for further reference, he listed a good number of the figures he owns from Armada, Energon, Cybertron, and Animated:
Unicron Trilogy
    Cybertron
      Override GTS
      Red Alert
      Runamuck
      Scout Scattorshot
      Demolishor
Galaxy Force Optimus Prime (I mean the red and black one, not the Japanese one)
      Liger Jack (Galaxy Force version)
      Overhaul
      Brushguard
      Downshift
      Brimstone
      Breakdown/Brakedown (whichever spelling is correct)
    Armada
      Cyclonus
      Scavenger
    Energon
      Dump truck Demolishor
      Perceptor
Animated
    Oil Slick
    Samurai Prowl
    Supreme Prime
    Cybertronian Prime
    Deluxe Two-Pack Earth Prime
    Blackarachnia (from two-pack with Prime)
    Earth Mode Megatron
    Dinobots (all three)
    Safeguard

Me and a few others are stumped as to what this thing could be, so I turned to a larger fan community for assistance. :D

Given the shape, and color If I had to guess, I'd say the cockpit of some airplane? Maybe some version of Movie Starscream?

Better pictures would help though.

also looking over his figures,, to see if one is missing a piece somewhere, maye with slots to match those tabs?

What I need identified is the mysterious robot behind the Gumby.

I apologize for the poor quality of the photo but, in all fairness, I didn't take the photo.

Can we get a closer look at the bot itself? Because I may just have the answer, or part of it. It may be Sunyak from the Convertors line, an imported version of Nikick from Orguss. Here's a link to help you out a bit:

Convertors Maladroids from Super Toy Archive. Sunyak is the 4th and 5th from the top.

It almost certainly is. And if it's not, then it's one of the other Nikick knockoffs (say that ten times fast...) from the time period.

Have no idea if I'm in the right place for this but here goes...

First, no pic supplied (which sucks, I know) but I'll give all the details I can.
Now then... I received a text today from my older cousin. This last weekend he picked up what he says is a G1 style Hot Rod, NOT a Classics version, he has one of each already and knows the difference, but this one he picked up is done entirely in clear red plastic. So it's along the lines of a Crystal Convoy or E-Hobby Hot Rod only it's G1.
I've looked through the galleries and had no luck finding it but that's not to say that I didn't overlook something somewhere. I've had a long day and am fighting a headache so it's possible.
Off the top of anyones head, is this description ringing any bells with folks? My cousin would very much like to know exactly what he has and I can usually identify anything he throws my way but I came up empty with this one. My suspicion is that it's a re-issue and an exclusive on top of that but as to which exclusive/ who did it... I'm striking out. I appreciate any ideas/input. Thanks in advance.

TFwiki is your friend.

http://tfwiki.net/wiki/Hot_Rod_%28G1%29/toys#Classics_.282006.29

If it's a G1 mold:

Crystal Rodimus (Autobot Car, 2001)
Japanese ID number: C-78C
Accessories: 2 Photon Lasers

"Crystal Rodimus" uses the reissue Hot Rod mold, but cast almost entirely in translucent plastics. Limited to 1500 pieces and packaged in a monochrome blue version of Hot Rod's normal packaging, Crystal Rodimus was only available at Tokyo Toy Festival, with the joint purchase of the evil clone Black Rodimus.

If it's the Classics Deluxe mold:

Sons of Cybertron (2010)
Accessories: Rocket engine/missile launcher, flame missile

Released as part of TakaraTomy's Welcome to Transformers 2010 campaign, this redeco of Classics Rodimus is cast in translucent plastic and features the Henkei! Henkei! release's paint applications. He is packed with a similarly translucent Deluxe class Optimus Prime from the Classics "Ultimate Battle" pack and Universe (2008) Special Edition.

This Classics/Henkei-based Sons of Cybertron set is a counterpart to TakaraTomy's Transformers Animated Sons of Cybertron set, which also features translucent versions of Deluxe (Animated) Optimus Prime and Rodimus.

The Classics/Henkei Sons of Cybertron set was intended for the Japanese Chara Hobby 2010 festival, but was also initially offered as a raffle prize at the Cybertron Philippines, Toy Kingdom and SM Makati and Hasbro-partnered Autobot Alliance/Cybertron Con event that launched the Generations, Transformers (2010) and Power Core Combiners toylines in the Philippines.,[1] and was available for purchase at the Cybertron Con 2010 Shanghai convention as well as various online toy retailers.

I have one of these in its "original" color scheme. I've had it described to me before as being something from a Macross sub-line but whene Jelze mentioned "Orguss" in another posting, that set off all kinds of bells in my head about this things origins. I can't confirm any of this but I do have two fo these, one in the size that you posted and one in what we would consider the "Voyager" class range with just astounding articulation although I had to repair the ball joint on the right shoulder. I've had both of mine for about 25 years now so it's certainly an old line. I also had a "Roadbuster" from the same toy line in the same size range as your figure. If you are interested in parting with yours at some point, let me know.

Thank you so much Sabrblade. As always, I salute your astounding ability to identify the obscure in our vast TF universe. Why my poor, muddled brain didn't think of TF Wiki, I have no idea. Again, I thank you and on behalf of my cousin, thanks as well. :D

Just took a picture of the screen and texted him and he ID'd the G1 version as positively being the one he has.

Here is a pic of the botcon 2006 exclusives.

Image

The following are descibed on the wiki:

Axalon Rattrap - An orange, silver, bronze and black redeco of Cybertron Ransack.
Axalon Rhinox - A green, brown, gold, and black redeco of Cybertron Landmine.
Axalon Cheetor - A yellow and teal retool of Cybertron Clocker with cheetah-print seat covers and a new head sculpt.
Darksyde Dinobot - A grey, black, brown, and blue redeco of Armada Hoist.
Axalon Optimus Primal - A black, white, red, and blue retool of Cybertron Crumplezone with a new head sculpt.
Attendee-Only Bonus Toy - Unit 2/(Tigatron), a white and teal version of the Cheetor exclusive toy with tiger-stripe seat covers, was provided as a bonus to those who picked up their 'Primus Package' box set in person.
Convention Souvenir 2-Packs - Two sets of two bagged toys, limited to 500 of each set.
Darksyde Megatron and Darksyde Waspinator - A purple and black retool of Cybertron Defense Red Alert with a new head and a green and yellow redeco of Machine Wars Skywarp/Thundercracker.

That leaves one in that picture who is not on the wiki. I have no clue who the beast wars character (looks like another Dinobot) or the original mold is. It's the spaceship with 2 cockpits. So if anyone could help me out that would be great.
