...Speaking of a canceled series (which is what we're supposed to be talking about...) I have an idea for anyone interested. I'm looking for a force of Transfans to create a continuation of Animated. I'm not on these forums almost at all, but if anyone knows someone who can write, draw, animated, storyboard, manage, or just have input, tell them to email irondino@msn.com if they're interested in Project; Transformers ReAnimated. The basic idea is to not only tie up some of the loose ends of Animated, but add a whole season (or two's) worth of episodes. Right now, I'm just looking for anyone interested. I'm not after money, just people. And no, they won;t be my own personal army.

I have a question and this has nothing to do with what Rodimus said about not talking about canciled series.

I was just wandering, when Transformers Animated was actully on the air it seemed like this thread was only really active after each new episode then die down and go out of use till the next episode came out. Now that there are no new episodes it seems like this topic is getting alot more use.

I'm just wandering why it seems like there's more frequent posting when the show isn't getting any new episodes than when it was? Even the huge gap between season 2 and 3 had alot of down time for this topic with verry few posts talking about promotional art for season 3.

My guess is because, back when the episodes were airing, no one would post between the episode airings because they knew more episodes were coming and were wanting to wait till the next episode would air so they could talk about that new episode. This also applies for the big gap between seasons 2-3. They knew new episodes were coming, just not for a long time.

And now that there are no more new episodes coming, people feel they can talk without having to wait for a new episode to air to have something to talk about. They also feel that there should be more new episodes, so they're now speaking their mind about wanting more episodes.

But this is just my theory, as I can't speak for everyone.

I didn't think about this till after I got to work but it hit me that maybe the reason is the same or simular as to how some artists never sell till after they die.

And when I say artists I'm not talking about just painters, I mean musictions and other artists as well. There's alot of famous people in history who never sold a single painting or a single album untill after they died.

Transformers Animated basically died so now we're talking about all the stuff we could of talked about while it was still going. Anyway... I hope there's enough fan demand for more episodes that they revise their innitial "this is the end" statement.

You're reading a book, you wouldn't talk to someone after a chapter you'd just finished reading, you'd wait until you finish the book before discussing it so can discuss the whole picture.

Same with a tv series, people can look back on it as a whole and give it a much deeper analysis and discussion, whereas during a series run, you can discuss what's happened and speculate on what will happen, and I guess most people don't like to speculate.

Which is like the artist thing, their works are complete and can be discussed and analysed.

Long story short, people like to discuss more of what was, and less on what MAY be.

Not really. When I first started reading "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" I was talking about what I had read so far into the book before I actully finished reading it. Allthough typically that had alot to do with the ever popular question "what are you reading?" that anyone asks or gets asked when seeing someone or has been seen reading a book in public. That question is typically followed by "what's it about?" unless they've allready read the book that you're reading then it's followed by "how far have you gotten into the book?" and then talking about everything that's happened up till that point.

Same with a tv series, people can look back on it as a whole and give it a much deeper analysis and discussion, whereas during a series run, you can discuss what's happened and speculate on what will happen, and I guess most people don't like to speculate.

There was alot of speculating durring the run, it'd die down after a while but it's not like we just talked about the recent episode then stopped talking. There was some speculating here and there just non enough to keep the topic going as long as it has been sence the show ended.

Which is like the artist thing, their works are complete and can be discussed and analysed.

Long story short, people like to discuss more of what was, and less on what MAY be.

What's so great about talking about what was? It's allready come and gone. There are times when it's usefull to talk about the past for refrence or nistalgia sake but there's not alot you can talk about something that's allready gone. Speculation, that's something I think would be more of a conversation starter.

As for the artist thing, they don't have to be dead in order for their works to be complete. Technically being dead wouldn't have anything to do with the doneness of the work they started. If the Wright brothers had died before finishing the first Air Plane you wouldn't call that complete would you? No, it's only complete when it works. And I belive it was Leonardo Divinchi who designed the first air plain as well as a bunch of other things that he never got around to building before he died. Basically one person can start working on something and die before they finish their work in which case someone else who's interested can come in and finish that work.

Allso... Batovans unfinished Synthony. (allthough if that's really unfinshed I'd hate to hear how long that would be if he actully lived long enough to finish it.)

I don't even really see Transformers Animated as finished because of all the Decepticons that are still out loose and the unexsplained plot things. The end of Animated caused more plot holes than it filled like the question of the AllSpark powered TFs. Was Starscream the only one who died or just the only one who died ON CAMERA. And what of Starscreams clones. Even if you belive not all the AllSpark fragments were colected there's still the question that sence the clones are just fractions of Starscream's personality is it possible for them to live without the bot they draw their personalitys from. And if they are still alive are they still just fractions of Starscreams personality or did his death cause the clones to gain true self awareness with personalitys of their own.

Such a bummer about Animated being taken off the Saturday morning line up. I really hope IDW can pick up the series like they said they wanted to at Bot Con. I might even spring for a subscription if they do because comic shops are so rare in this part of Michigan.

I am hoping we get some sort of announcement soon but with Revenge coming out at the end of the month and also the re-releases of Generation 1 on DVD again I dont think we will be hearing anything about the next series or if they will be a new series for quiet sometime.

This could mean that Transformers could be in stasis mode for awhile.

I just want an announcment stating the status of Transformers, rather or not it will have a new show or not, or a direct-to-dvd movie of animated closing out the series properly which I doubt that will ever happen but you cant never tell these days.

Or the name of the next show, also the story plot and introduction of the characters and new characters, also rather or not if the new show will be on Cartoon Network or will it be on the upcoming Hasbro/Kids Discovery Channel whatever they plan on calling the new channel.

Or they could show the new show on both CN and the new Hasbro/Kids Discovery channel, All we do no for certain that the new channel will feature past shows from the Hasbro Library and also GI Joe.

But what is not known is if Transformers RiD will be seen or not cause as people knows it is own bye Disney for some odd reason.

I just hope something is announced soon to give us something new to talk about since animated is now canceled and finished.

Whatever the future is it will be a while before some new announcements will be made cause the new Hasbro channel isnt going to be ready until 2010.

So another long waiting peroid awaits us wants again.

Um, no. What about ROTF? You act as though it isn't a big deal.

They've already stated that Animated's cartoon series is done and over with. The only new Animated stuff we'll be getting are toys.

Rodimus2006 wrote:Or the name of the next show, also the story plot and introduction of the characters and new characters, also rather or not if the new show will be on Cartoon Network or will it be on the upcoming Hasbro/Kids Discovery Channel whatever they plan on calling the new channel.

Hasbro is intentionally not telling us what their plans for 2010 are, as they want us to currently focus on ROTF.

Rodimus2006 wrote:But what is not known is if Transformers RiD will be seen or not cause as people knows it is own bye Disney for some odd reason.
It's not that odd. We know what the reason is.

Like I just said, they won't tell us anything yet due to ROTF being the current franchise to focus on.

Rodimus2006 wrote:So another long waiting peroid awaits us wants again.
There is another new Transformers franchise that's just starting up! It's called...

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen!

Transformers isn't dead as it lives on in ROTF.

Look The movie universe and the cartoon universe are 2 diffrent things I know that transformers will be continued as a live-action trilogy and maybe beyong that depending on how good these movies do at the box-office.

What I am trying to say what is next for the cartoon franchise now that animated is finished what is next beyond that what will it be called or if they will be another cartoon series after animated for the new channel in 2010 or was Animated the last of the cartoons being made.

I know that they will be another transformers movie in 2011 summertime again making it a trilogy unkown what it is about or what the subtitled name of the movie will be called but I guess we can get some ideas from Revenge to piece together what might be instore for transformers 3 in 2011.

I just wanna know what is instore for the fate or future of the animated franchise was animated the last of the caroon series if not when can we expect the next one in and what will it be called and what channel and the air date of it.

I know the diffrences between the cartoons and the movies I know transformers will be continued in the movies but what about the animated cartoon franchises what lies ahead if anything.

I hate that about RiD it has just been sitting there locked away in a vault since it last aired back on Fox Kids well not entirely true those in the UK have got multiple box sets of it while we in the US have not seen it since it was aired on Fox back in 2000 or early 1999 I am not entirely sure of the original airdate.

I am hoping that they can buy the show from them and show it on the new Hasbro Channel but I guess we have to wait and see what they have instore for us in 2010.

Revenge is June 24
Transformers 3 is in Summer time 2011
Re-Releases of Generation 1 are throughout the holiday
And a Season 3 of Animated on DVD is a sure thing but probably not until Q1 2010 sometime

TFA Season 3 dvd:

No clue about this site, as I've never heard of it before. From the look of it, they are homemade disks. Case and whatnot looks decent though.

I'm pretty sure that's a homemade set. The blue background kinda gives it away (the real sets use the Detroit background).

Look they are going to be a season 3 of animated on DVD cause the 1st 2 sets are out on DVD. Why make 1 and 2 and not do a 3 on dvd dosent make any sense to me.

But I have seen sets done like that seasons 1 and 2 of SeaQuest were done but for some reason we are not getting a season 3 it dosent suprise me anyways cause it is owned bye Universal and they suck and making DVD sets and they are slower than crap about doing them also.

The only question is when will animated season 3 be released I say end of the year or 1st of 2010 sometime or another.

Also I hope they make an announcement at Comic-Con this year but I dont think they will, they probably wont make an announcemt until the end of the year or 1st of next year about the future of transformers and what they have planed in 2010.

I dont expect an announcement for sometime so it is going to remain quiet on the cartoon front of things for transformers.

But Revenge is all most upon us and plus the re-releases of Generation 1 throughout 2009 also and revenge the video game also plus revenge on DVD & Blue-Ray maybe bye the end of the year and then animated season 3 will also be on DVD sometime soon.

So it looks like the next of transformers cartoon will be in statis mode for about a year or so so another long waiting but that said there is plenty to keep us busy with the stuff i mentioned above.

We are just going to have to wait, watch, read and see what they have in store for us.

Of course. I never said that season 3 wouldn't get released on DVD. All I said was that the season 3 DVD set that Random showed us was homemade and unofficial.

How's that relevant? But I don't think we have to worry about that happening in this case.

I'd say that we could expect to here something around either late Fall this year, Winter this year, or Spring 2010. But that's just my guess.

Rodimus2006 wrote:But Revenge is all most upon us and plus the re-releases of Generation 1 throughout 2009 also and revenge the video game also plus revenge on DVD & Blue-Ray maybe bye the end of the year and then animated season 3 will also be on DVD sometime soon.
Get this, I went to Sam's Club yesterday, and they had the new G1 season 1 DVD set available! It was much smaller than the Rhino version and significantly cheaper! And yet, I didn't buy it, as I own the Rhino set. :|

Rodimus2006 wrote:So it looks like the next of transformers cartoon will be in statis mode for about a year or so so another long waiting but that said there is plenty to keep us busy with the stuff i mentioned above.
I'm sue Animated will continue to play in reruns for quite a while. Remember how long TF: Cybertron played on CN when the first Bay movie came out?

Only reason I was think of re buying these DVD Sets cause I heard that they have cleaned them up considerably over the rhino sets.

Plus they are alot cheaper then when I 1st got my rhino sets also they are suppose to have some cool extras on them also and they are only 20 bucks or so and each set contains 3 disks.

The original Rhino Sets had 4 to 6 disks and also cool cool lithograph card type deal in it also plus the cases looked pretty cool compared to the ones being made bye Shout Factory.

Also I hope that Derrick Wyatt returns as Lead Art director for the next TF series he did a awesome job on animated also I enjoyed his work on Teen Titans but I heard he has other project in the works so he may not be back for the next new series.

Also I hope that get David Kaye and others from previous shows to voice OP and Megs if they are going to be in the next series wouldnt that be wierd a Transformers show were Megs & OP werent in it.

I think it would be cool to have OP and Megs team up cause they found out that there is a new faction on Cybertron pulling the strings and controlling the goverment.

This would mean that the autobots and decipticons would be under 1 banner facing this new Threat.

But as the show goes on Megatron goes back to his old ways and the alliance starts to crumble and once again the war goes on not unless OP can bring Megatron back to his senses someway.

I mean why does every TF have to have Megs and OP fighting I would like to see them team up for once I mean they are brothers just on opposing factions I mean it gets old watching the same factions fight.

I think it would be cool to throw something new into the mix for the next show.

Brothers? Only the ones from the Bay movies are brothers. No other Optimus Prime and Megatron are brothers.

And "brother" may not have meant a family tie. I mean, Obi-Wan referred to Anakin as his brother, Hulk Hogan calls people brother, and I'm pretty sure "Band of Brothers" isn't about a bunch of brothers.

And what of all the other Transformers siblings? (ignore the other relations for now, focus on the siblings)

It's irrelevant. Just because Transformers have siblings doesn't mean that can't still call each other "brother," much in the same way humans might call each other "brother" despite no relation.

Well, even though it hasn't been openly stated yet, what if the movie leaders DO have a relation?

Sorry I knew they are brothers in the Bay Movies but in the cartoons they are bitter enemies and complete opposites one good one evil and have know relation.

I know that saying Brother dosent mean you are really Brothers but is dose mean a tight emotional bond sort of like blood Brothers.

Like it was Between Anakin and Obi-One in Star Wars but I always thought there relationship was a father son type deal even Anakin said he thought of Obi one as a Father.

Obi-One said he was like his brother in Revenge of the Sith after the final duel on the Valcanoe Planet well it wasnt the last time that would be in Episode IV when he kills him as Vader on the Death Star.

Hulk Hogan just says Brother as his motto or catch phrase like Stone Cold always said What all the time.

Well anyways I just want something new and diffent for the next series something that hasnt been done yet also a new setting a new location and new characters never before seen.

Also would be cool would be a newer bad guy a meaner nastier Villian meaner than Megs or Unicron something totally new and totally diffrent but would be a welcomed addition to the transformers universe.

I have no clue what the next one will be about I just hope it will be have as good as animated was and has memorable characters that animated has in it.

Heck who knows maybe some of the animated characters might show up in the new show, I mean if it is still in the same universe that is.

But I have a feeling it will be new fresh and also possibly also a new art direction diffrent from that of animated was.

What the new look will be like or if it will remain done in animated style remains a mystery until it is shown and some announcents are made which will be quiet sometime like i said before.

So know we play the waiting game once more.

First, it's spelled Obi-Wan. Second, the planet they were on is called Mustafar. And for whatever reason, I can't stand people using generic terms for Star Wars.
