What they said.

This is no remake of G1. At all. There are some G1 elements, homages, and inspirations, but G1 itself isn't a part of this.

And just because a character uses the word "honor" doesn't make them a Dinobot expy. Dinobot's viewpoint of "honor" was of a code of ethics he lived by like a samurai lives by Bushido. He spoke like a Shakespearean character with such eloquence and deep thought.

Smokescreen, however, is another kid-appeal youngster like Cheetor, who speaks like a major fanboy wanting to prove himself. His viewpoint of "honor" is that he's the lucky one who gets to work under his all-time hero.

Bingo, who wouldn't want to learn to cook from Optimus Prime

Anyone else notice Knock Out's wheels are starting to sit further back on his....back? I guess accommodate the toy? Doesn't make the toy look incredibly accurate, but still, here's an "evolution" of where his wheels sit:

I mean, they aren't disappearing, but they aren't as high up as the first and second pics.

Makes ya wonder how much control they have over thier own transformations.

These slight but noticeable character model changes had to be because of the toys. If you think about it, around this time during the animation, writing, and recording process of Season 2 was when the toys were being released. They probably saw the toys and were like; "Damn, those look terrible. Let's help these toys out a little."

It's probably why PRiD Optimus' sword resembles/is the Star Saber, or how Soundwave's deployer is named Laserbeak in the show only months after the toy. Perhaps why we didn't get a Breakdown toy (because they killed him off for Hasbro), or why Smokescreen's torso and leg model looks more like Knock Out's toy than he does! These among other toys in the line. :-?

Oh I don't doubt that you're right. It just kinda got me to wondering.

At least in War for Cybertron, (Haven't played FOC yet) they have a tendency to constantly shift around certain parts. Optimus' wheels did the exact same thing as what you're saying Knockout is doing now. So at least there's an in-universe explanation. But yeah, it's probably the toy's fault.

Now if only someone would suckerpunch knockout's chest and make it accurate...

How did I not notice Knock Out had little white elf-ears and a goatee?

A similar thing happened to Animated Arcee, whose character model was adjusted between her appearances in seasons 1 and 3 to make her model a bit more toy accurate.

Could be Predaking (as TFormers claims), could be Scourge (as many speculate), could be anyone.

Though, one thing's for sure, that's not the Star Seekers symbol. :???:

Well, maybe we'll get a team of Predacons, Dinobots, and Star Seekers? :-?

Just an FYI, but Thylacine is attending the NYCC event on behalf of TFWiki.net, and got us that promo video! So he is not making things up or having pants that are on fire.

The latter group was invented in the books and there is "no strong driving force" to really explore them in toyline. Predawn faction will be a big deal with big merch push. Predaking himself pretty much confirmed at multiple sizes / pricepoints.

Cool. So Predaking will be the leader of the Predacons; the Decepticon's new secret weapons?

Perhaps Shockwave joins up with Megatron, and has been working on the Predacons since the events of Out of the Past? :-?

Just the fact that they mentioned the prostpect of Star Seeker toys (even if the Predacon toys outnumber them) has me excited. Autobots, Decepticons, Star Seekers, Predacons, YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAW!!!!!!!!!

This guy looks like a worthy successor to the name of Predaking, even if he isn't a combiner. I don't care if his transformation is as simple as "fold back head, pull down legs, turn front claws into hands, remove tail". He looks BEAST in Dragon mode, and I want him more than I've wanted any Transformer in a long time.

Anyone want to speculate who might be joining Predaking on the Predacons team? I'm hoping that at least Divebomb and Rampage make it from the original Predacon team. Maybe throw in a few BW Predacons, like Waspinator?

So excited! :D

I can't wait!! This is really shaping up to be an awesome series and I can't to see how this all plays out! And my "want" for the Predacons ... Rampage! "For the Hive!"

Given the preview, "Predaking" must be fricking HUGE!!! Big enough to swallow an Insecticon in one bite.

The 'bots are going to need the Dinobots big time!

That episode was EPIC!!!
I loved every bit
Also it was funny too
I loved the part where Smokescreen escaped the ship and when Starscream takes over the base

When Megatron is just tossing guys off the ship, left and right, the only thing I could think was...were those Jet Vehicons, or just regular Vehicons...

Cue poor poor Steve, transforming to car mode, and falling to explosive firey death!

And is it just me, or are the animators having way too much fun showing off the massive animation budget they've collected. I mean, things have exploded at base before, but we couldn't have watched it rain INSIDE in SLOW MOTION before.

And the show continues the longstanding TFP tradition of desecrating corpses for fun and profit! We've had no less than three separate ghoulish acts, by three completely independent villains, in five episodes.

It would be really awkward being the Vehicon who walks into the room where the REST of Knockout is. Even more awkward if it's his quarters...

Whoa, that was incredible. The ending of the episode was expected yet unexpected. I knew Starscream would offer his Omega Key, but I didn't expect all four! The Autobots are screwed now.
