Decepticons would only ruin this show for what it is. It don't need no stinkin' Decepticons to be good!

everyone is entitled to an opinion and i am sure a lot of people feel the same as i do >:oP
The second sentence was a joke (classic novel/movie quote paraphrasing).

But the point I was getting at is, well, what would adding Decepticons to the show add to the show? If the answer is "warfare" then that would defeat the whole point of this show's existence. We had Prime for that and we'll have RID for that as well. This show is to give us something outside of the typical war pattern that we always get. Making it into just another war would rid it of what makes it special.

There's no fighting allowed in this show. If there were to be Decepticons in it, they couldn't be fought against, so they'd either conquer and kill everyone within the first 20 minutes, or they wouldn't be allowed to be a credible threat. I'm almost fairly certain that no one would want to see any Decepticon get nerfed and neutered into being nonviolent and easy to beat.

And besides, the lack of Decepticons in this show is part of its charm. It allows this show to do things that other TF shows never got to do because of all the warfare getting in the way. In those other series, the war is the focus so it take precedence over much else, but in this show, it would very much be an inhibition and invasion upon an otherwise well made non-war show.

I guess thats just the way i like my Transformers shows always having a decepticon/predicon/vehicon threat to deal with or even human for that matter, to me without that this show seems more like a sitcom featuring Transformers Perhaps it should be called The Burns of Griffin Rock Featuring The Autobots!

Thing is, is that so wrong? Is it wrong for there to be a Transformers sitcom? I mean, we get so much of the same thing all the time, so much of the same setup of fighting between factions. Just once, isn't nice that we have something that allows the Transformers to invest their lives in other things besides warfare?

I mean, IDW's been experimenting with something like this in MTMTE and RID since it ended the Autobot/Decepticon war back in early 2011. Sure, there's still threats and conflicts going on in those series, but the war finally put to rest there.

It's really refreshing that modern fiction has allowed there to be actual full series that show the more civil and casual sides of our favorite robots in disguise as real people instead of mere pawns of war. :)

Well, IDWs MtMtE is kind of like a reality TV show.

But Rescue Bots was never meant to have conflict (war, violence, whatever). It's a break from the formula, yes, but it was never meant to. The theme song would be completely different if it was ever supposed to have Decepticons.

It's a shame, I'd love to see Prime's Starscream bringing fabulousness to the island (because, well, they do have Steve Blum in the cast.... and there were certain parts where Starscream could actually be considered non violent neutral faction, and he is, by far my favorite TV version of Scream) but I just don't see how the shows core wouldn't be compromised by it.

I think we might need to take a step back and review the word "conflict". The word simply means "problem", so there are certainly conflicts in this show; just ones that don't pertain to warfare (the closest they've come being warlike was in the season 1 finale).

And threats as well, but again, non-war ones. It's like the toys' packaging says: They fight against "floods, fires, and everything in between." And the occasional corrupt human antagonists (who often prove to be quite competent and resourceful). I'm having trouble finding the interview in which is was said (it might have been at one of the past two BotCons, even), but I recall one of the makers on the show noting that, in spite of the lack of war-based enemies, he or she seems to intend to always put at least one of the characters in real life-threatening danger once per episode.

One of the things we often forget about the Autobots is that they're not just combatants who fight against Decepticons, but that they're also humanity's protectors. It may not always be clear, but they are willing to and do serve and protect us whenever they can. And with the war out of the way in this series, they are able to do exactly that full time here, under orders from Optimus (who has purposefully kept them out of the war in case anything should ever happen to Team Prime; as Rescue Force Sigma-17 is Optimus's contingency for the off chance that the Autobots might lose the war and all be destroyed, leaving it to Heatwave's team to carry out the Autobots' legacy).

That's kind of why I specified, conflict never seems like the right term to use but in the absence of coffee, it was the best I was coming up with (modern usage of the term and all is more towards conflict being warfare as the media and our government tends to refer to the act of war as 'conflict', the war used to be called 'conflict in the middle east' rather than war, but that's all just spin that ended up spinning the other way and swapped the term. I'm not defending my choice of words inasmuch as I should have been thinking more clearly. But I blame not being a morning person in a morning person world)

Obstacle might be a good way (that's the politically correct term) to describe the action in rescue bots.

It's a problem (obstacle) solving formula show, even when they throw in faction based conflict (good guys vs bad human guys) they don't have to deviate too far from the formula. Dr Morocco and Madelyn Pynch don't normally make it straight up 'fighting' but simply give a new problem (obstacle) to be solved.

Episode 55 -

The Burnses are practicing for a charity basketball game of teachers vs. rescue workers.

Hayley gets to speak in this one.

There's a whole bunch of Mister Pettypawses in Mrs. Neederlander's tree.

Short theme song again.

Mrs. Neederlander gets to speak too.

Naturally, Doc's behind the multiple cat copies. They're products of his Imaging Chamber (from the Gremlins episode last season) made of energy and crystals. Solid holograms, basically. Though, their claws are real enough, and they still aggravate Graham's allergies. As for how they've lasted so long outside the chamber, Doc equipped each one with an energy collar to keep them charged. To get rid them, simply remove the collars and they cease to exist.

Heatwave uses his water guns to round up the cats, and "accidentally" soaks Kade, frying his comm.

At the lab, Doc gives a demonstration of the Imaging Chamber's new capabilities and has Kade be the test subject. But, the machine blew a fuse.

"Power Up and Energize!" - Boulder uses the claw that comes with Chase's toys to free Mrs. Rubio from her car.

After Doc fixes the fuse, four Kade copies emerge from the Imaging Chamber.

Doc is dumbfounded by how all the Kades are able to exist without a power source.

Each of the Kade copies not only exhibit a single trait of Kade's personality, but also reflect the personalities of the for Bots. One is a jerk (Heatwave), one is a goofball (Blades), one is a nice guy (Boulder), and one is a thinker (Chase).

Each of the Kades gets to ride in their corresponding Bot counterpart.

LOL, all of the Kades have to ride inside Blades back to the firehouse after Chief orders them back.

Cody: "Kade!"
All Kades: "Yeah? What?! Hi! Who? Yes?"
Cody: "Hayley's downstairs! The rest of you will have to wait up here!"
Real Kade: "She wants me to apologize."
Rude Kade: "Never apologize! It's a sign of weakness!"
Smart Kade: "No. Relationships require communication."
Silly Kade: "I like penguins."
Nice Kade: "Flowers. And, ask forgiveness."
Real Kade: "No way this guy's part of me."

"Power Up and Energize!" - Chase is using Heatwave's dual-barreled water cannon as a fire extinguisher.

The Kade doppelgangers have been powered by Kade's damaged comm link that was also copied and emitting a low level of power that's enough to keep the energy crystals vibrating in the Kades. Take away the comm links and they'll disappear. But, there's an emergency that the Kades are needed at first, and so they take Kade's old rig to get there.

Rude Kade saluted when he disappeared.

This was a funny one. Kade was already an entertaining character before, so to have him multiplied by five was a joy to watch, especially with them going the animated Starscream route of them all having different parts of personality (even if those happened to match up with each of the Bots). The Kade that was like Blades was the best of the four copies and stole just about every scene he was in, from his line about penguins to his sticking his tongue out like a dog while riding Kade's old rig. I bet Jason Marsden had an absolute ball with this episode and rightfully so. Pure comedy gold all around.

Well, I wouldn't call any of them "cute", but if the Transformers weren't lovable, I doubt many of us would even be here. ;)

Though, the Transformers were learning about Earth as early as G1, and do so in nearly every series. It's just something that comes natural with a change of scenery.

I don't do political. Religion and politics... bad conversation. That was simple observation on the show's formula.

And I dunno... Chase is kind of cute in a metallic sort of way.

Does anyone think they missed an opportunity by not linking the ghost ship story from this upcoming episode to the story of the ghost lady from back in season one?

Episode 56 -

Seems the entire island is eager to see the ship appear.

LOL! They make a joke about Dani being a "shipper", yet throw us a curveball by giving a different definition than those of us familiar with the term might be expecting (they say that Dani gets overexcited about seeing a ship that might not be real). But then Cody clarifies by drawing closer to the actual definition by saying it relates to romance.

While out looking for the ship on his sea lab, Doc's detected something very large and which is sending a distress signal.

The name of the ship is the "S.S. Phantom Voyager"

First full length version of the theme song this season.

According to Dani, the S.S. Phantom Voyager was an ocean liner left adrift in 1915 after a lightning strike disabled the engines. Everyone got off except the captain, Ansel Ambrose (not an official spelling, just a guess on my part). He remained on board until help could arrive, but without warning, the ship mysteriously vanished. And on this night, every ten years, the ship reappears somewhere off the west side of the island.

There's more to the legend, but a call to action put the rest of the story on hold.

Doc claims that the energy the ship is releasing seems vaguely familiar.

There's someone on board the ship!

The rest of the legend says that the captain was supposed to get married to a girl from Griffin Rock named Lilian (again, not official spelling, just my guess). She waited for him, seeing the ship appear every ten years for just a few moments. Chase find this story to be horrible.

Blades, Dani, and Cody do a flyover above the ship, but someone aboard throws a rope at them and snags Blades!

"Power Up and Energize!" -- Chase uses a grappler gun to get aboard the vessel.

Energy's spiking. The ship's about the vanish. They have to get off of it NOW!

The ship... vaporized! With everyone still on it!

Did the ship... teleport to... another dimension?!

Time to search the ship for answers. Find the guy aboard this thing and get to the bottom of this.

The dining hall appears to be in pretty pristine condition with good food and power and everything.

One of the large crates in the storage compartment is glowing purple.

A phonograph's playing music in he grand hall.

It's him! The captain!

The captain thinks the intruders are trying to take over his ship.

Captain: "What country sent you? Who builds machines that talk like people? And aircraft that fly without wings?"

To the captain, only a day has past since his ship was evacuated.

Somehow, ten years outside the ship are only one hour inside the ship. But they've been on the ship for an hour, which means...

THEY WENT TEN YEARS INTO THE FUTURE!!!!

Frankie's a helicopter pilot, and both Chief and Doc are old men.

Chief and Doc have answers from the data Doc collected ten years ago. The energy pattern emitted by this ship is the same found in the old time machine that used to be under Doc's lab. Boulder suspects that that's what he found in the cargo hold. Kade postulates that someone must have been transporting one on the ship.

The time-displaced individuals opt to stay aboard the ship so as to fix this mess, much to the chagrin of those who waited ten years to see them return.

According the captain, the time machine aboard the ship belonged to a passenger named Dr. Thaddeus Morocco. Naturally.

The lightning strike that hit the ship damaged the time machine and froze up the controls. It's stuck on a setting that makes it skip ahead ten years at a time every hour.

A power boost from energon should be able to get it working properly again. Blades doesn't have much left of his emergency supply, but it should be enough.

The power's stabilizing and the controls are working again.

The ship's back in the present, and now the captain has to turn the dial back ten more notches to get back to his own time.

In the present time, the team was gone "for a moment or two".

Dani announces that the captain made it to his wedding in 1915. History has been changed.

LOL, Kade squee'd.

OMG! They worked in Maurice LaMarche's "inhuman voice" into this show!!!!! SQUEEE!!!

The song that played on the phonograph is played during the end credits.

Ansel Ambrose (hey, I guessed right! Cool!) -- voiced by JB Blanc

Wow, this was a cool one! Started off so suspenseful and mystifying with the potential danger of the ship disappearing with the Team still on board, and then going the familiar sci fi route that this show is known for by incorporating time travel in a way that was not only believable for this show but also tied in with this show's greater continuity. And having them go ten years into the future was something I was expecting them to shy away from, but nope! They didn't pull their punches or beat around the bush with this one. Though, but sending the captain back to his home time to give him a happy ending does kind of create a paradox since that did end up changing history to an extent, which means the legend would no longer exist, thereby erasing the premise of this episode, meaning they wouldn't have fixed the time machine, meaning the captain and the ship with still be time-displaced, resulting the legend existing, allowing this episode to happen, permitting the captain to go home, eradicating the legend, erasing this episode's premise, keeping the team off of the ship from fixing the time machine, making the captain still trapped, making the legend still exist, and GAH! MY HEAD!

Still liked it, though.

It's not quite like that, since that implies they mostly respond to natural disasters and everyday accidents, whereas in the show thus far, they have, in the words of Strong Bad, "dealt with disasters, but maily those of a decidedly unnatural sort." Which is probably more entertaining, when you get right down to it..

Maybe for this one they wanted it to air in the winter for the holiday season, but couldn't do so in its proper airing placement. Like how "Walk on the Wild Side" first aired out of order to fall on Earth Day.

As for "Chief Woodrow", who knows.

I just hope that they don't count the two skipped episodes as part of the 26-episode count for season 3. :-s

Episode 57 -

The episode starts already with the Bots aboard the Sigma in space in the past.

This opening with the Bots receiving a distress call from their ship and going after it has a very Star Trek feel to it.

The original command Heatwave would give before coming to Earth was "Rescue Bots, power to the rescue!"

The giant space slug-like creature that attacked the wrecked ship is an energon eater.

The Bots are telling Cody a story about what happened in the past.

Full version of the theme song.

Boulder claims to not have believed that energon eaters were real, thinking they were only the stuff of stories. Blades feels that that might be if no one's lived to about encountering one.

The Sigma has a cloaking shield.

According to Boulder, once an energon eater gets a scent, it never stops hunting its prey. And Chase states that the creature is said to smell flowing energon.

Since the ship can't get its velocity drive up and running quick enough, the bots have no choice but to mask their energon flow by going into stasis, which will freeze their energon into a solid state. They have to shut down the ship as well, since it also runs on flowing energon. Heatwave programs the Sigma to restart once it gets a Priority Prime message, which he suspects will be sent by Cybertron as soon as they miss their check-in.

And the energon eater has let them go. However, they failed to answer the wrecked ship's distress call.

Next thing they knew, their ship was headed for Earth.

Well, the flashback ended pretty early in the episode.

The river's rising and has flooded most of the town.

Mr. Levy's about to go over the falls.

Heh, Mister Pettypaws's jaw dropped when seeing the tidal wave.

As Chase regretted failing to heed the call of the wrecked ship in the past, so to does he regret failing to stop the town from being flooded.

Chase is trying to contact the damaged ship from back then. And it somehow responds!

Chase and Boulder are going into space to find the ship and help it. Heatwave and Blades remains on Earth to continue the mission Optimus assigned to them on Earth.

Blades is filling in for Chase for Chief Burn's patrol.

Heatwave's "helping" Graham with "fixing" some equipment and with Graham's Gremsky Tech homework.

After all this time, even more space wrecks have turned up in the same area that the original was in.

Boulder's found the ship's captain's log: "No one responded to our distress call. The ship has malfunctioned beyond repair. All my crew escaped in survival pods. I am taking what cargo I can and abandoning this vessel. End log."

The timestamp on the log shows that it was made long before the Bots received the ship's emergency call.

All this time, it was the energon eater sending the distress call, by feeding energon from its tail into the ship's computer, allowing the message to keep being sent and luring other vessels into its trap.

"Power Up and Energize!" - Chase and Boulder use all new palm-held rocket thrusters.

The energon eater sucked the Sigma's power core dry.

Chase: "You are under arrest for energon theft! And general unpleasantness."

Did Chase just... drive in space?!

Capturing the creature, they drain its stolen energon to re-power the ship.

Whoa, what? They actually delivered the creature to Optimus? Where is that place that Optimus is at?

Lacey Chabert -- Woman
Maurice LaMarche -- Voice
Jason Marsden -- Fisherman
Not exactly the most descriptive names, huh?

This was pretty cool, letting us get to see what was going on with Sigma-17 before coming to Earth. The energon eater proved to be both a monstrous and, surprisingly, cunning creature. Though, it did raise a few other questions that weren't answered. Like, what caused the river to flood the town in the first place? And just where exactly did Chase and Boulder deliver the energon eater to Optimus? And how long ago did the Sigma go into stasis, exactly? How does this affect the overall timeline? Don't get me wrong, I liked it, but some things in it needed more clarification.

Episode 58 -

Did Huxley just refer to the hurricane as "Hurricane Opie"? Is that another reference to The Andy Griffith Show?

Doc previously sent Graham, Cody, and Boulder over to the Island of Misfit Tech to retrieve a replacement stabilizier for Doc's damaged one. That don't sound good at all.

The stabilizer should be in a de-barker that Doc discarded to the island after it tried to shred his lab coat with him still in it.

The three had to be sent to retrieve the stabilizer since Doc couldn't beam back just the stabilizer by itself. All that came back was the retrieval tag, which much have fallen off. Graham notices that several tags had fallen off, but they've no time to look into that right now since they need to get back.

Vigil was aware of the three visitors being nearby and transferred its energy into the stabilizer.

Full theme song.

One of the lab's satellite dishes collapsed onto the lab's roof.

The dome is activated. Griffin Rock is now protected, and the atmosphere generator will provide them with clean air at 70 degrees.

Frankie's remote control rocket is out of control.

Ever the humble man, Mayor Luskey has christened the dome as the "Mayor Luskey Dome" (sidenote, does he even have a first name besides "Mayor"?) and has accepted full credit for its success.

Vigil's now transferred his energy from the stabilizer into the control panel's console. Is he some sort of energy ghost now?

Doc tries to retract the dome until the next time it's needed, but Vigil takes control and denies Doc his access to the controls.

During his exile, Vigil learned how to transfer his programming into other devices, and is the one responsible for all of the retrieval tags falling off. But, how did he learn to do that? Is such a thing even possible for manmade, non-supernatural tech?

Vigil claims to have corrected the error in his programming that Cody had pointed out to him last time, but Vigil won't retract the dome since it increases the island's protection by 82%. He's also resynthesized the air molecules produced by the atmosphere generator into a sleeping vapor.

Doc, Chief, and Dani all succumb to the sleeping vapor, while the others manage to make it inside the Bots in time.

Wait, Blades says that he breathes air. What?

Vigil has jumped into the little cement mixing bot and shielded the console with cement.

"Power Up and Energize!" - Boulder's using a jackhammer that kinda looks like the one that comes with Bumblebee's Energize mini-figure.

Everyone in town is asleep. Though, the Mayor is sleep-eating ice cream.

Frankie has given code names to Blades ("Sky Hawk") and Chase ("Blue Ninja").

Vigil keeps jumping around since he can only control one device at a time.

Vigil's in the Robo-Baby from season 1.

Did Kade say that they'd cut Vigil off at Lake "Streak"?

Boulder got through the cement, but the whole system overheated when it was covered.

Doc's secret password is "Doc".

Vigil has one more task to complete before Griffin Rock can be deemed "permanently safe", and transfers into a garbage truck bot to get away.

Vigil seems unable to jump between devices that are far apart from each other, as he only seems to jump when he's close enough to another device. And he's heading somewhere specific in the east.

Wait, the lab that the dome was activated from isn't Doc's lab, but some other facility. Doc's lab is where Vigil seems to be heading, as Graham states that the dome has another set of controls there.

Frankie spots Vigil in a construction site at Pynch Square, where he's jumped into a brick device that shoots Blades down.

Vigil's now in a motorcycle, heading west. Boulder and Graham will head him off by cutting through Sloan Field.

In the scrapyard, Vigil uses a Scrapmaster to bury Heatwave and Boulder under a mountain of old cars.

Frankie has Dither seal all entrances to the lab.

Vigil's possessed Dither, and blasts Chase and Blades with a Collision Foam Cannon.

Heh, Blades complains about the ubiquity of the foam cannons.

Cody grabbed Frankie's rocket, but had to sacrifice himself to the sleeping gas to do so.

Frankie likewise sacrificed her consciousness to trick Vigil into entering her rocket, which she sent flying out of the lab (but, shouldn't Vigil have taken control upon entering it?).

The rocket crashed in the EMP zone at Griffin Crest. That's a LONG ways away reach in a very short time. Still, is seems to have killed Vigil. The first onscreen death in this show, even if it was for an artificial intelligence.

And at last, Blades has Dither retract the dome.

Everyone's awakened, Mr. Harrison's about to puke, the Mayor's covered in food, and Heatwave and Boulder finally find the strength to free themselves from the car pile.

Well, that was a quick ending.

This episode was non-nutritional, non-educational, and a complete waste of time for anyone looking to learn something academic or moralistic. And that's just the way we like it! This was a Saturday morning cartoon, plain and simple. A good old-fashioned suspense thriller with action and conflict short of throwing a full on malevolent villain into the mix. One big chase scene involving relatively high stakes. Vigil proves once more how competent he is in his extremism and single-mindedness, even if he does so in a manner that borderlines on the suspension of disbelief. I mean, really, how did he gain that energy ghost ability? Still, though, twas good.

Episode 59 -

Graham's constructed a water slide for the local pool.

New girl in town. Name's Amy. She's an engineer, is impressed with Graham's slide, and has rendered Graham as babbling a mess as Eugene Meltsner. :P

Chief's got a call from Barney (his deputy). Morocco's gone (that was quick). Luckily, there's a GPS tracker in Morocco's cuffs.

They got Morocco back easily (a bit too easily), but failed to notice that he had placed a letter in the mailbox he was next to.

Short version of the theme.

They put Morocco into a special high tech super reinforced cell built by Doc this time.

There's a monkey running loose downtown, who caused Jerry to crash his truck shipment of bananas.

Turns out the monkey belongs to Amy. Its name is Tesla. I'm betting its voiced by Frank Welker.

Kade is gonna school Graham on how to behave around girls. This can't end well.

Boulder can smell Kade's cologne, "Man's Smell".

Barney's made another call about Morocco. The doctor's still in his cell, but now has an ant farm. Huh?

I think Jeff Bennett has finally gotten the hang of his Don Knotts impression. Sounds better here than it ever did.

Kade's plan to get Graham with Amy doesn't go very well.

Of all the Bots, it's Heatwave who gives Graham the most helpful advice of playing his strengths, which is for Graham is science, and let that do the talking for him.

Morocco has reconstructed both the jail's electric fan and radio into a vocal-based command device that he uses to sonically control the ants, ordering them to head towards Doc Green's lab.

Doc's been studying Morocco's MorBot.

The ants have stolen the MorBot's power pod and have reconnected it to the MorBot's head.

Using science, Graham's created his own scent of cologne, which a surprised Kade finds awesome. It works molecularly, able to make people like Graham, making him feel confident, hence his naming it "Confident Me".

Emergency call from Mr. Pfeiffer. Fire at the bakery.

Something chewed through the oven.

Morocco's MorBot is busting him out of jail.

Huxley likes Graham's scent.

An ant hurt Boulder, to the confusion of everyone.

Before departing, Morocco nabs the Vern device from the nearby Chamber of Youth.

As he tries to get away in his MorBot, Morocco orders his ant army to attack the Bots. The reason they can harm the Bots is because they are a rare mutant breed of marabunta army ants whose bite contains folic acid that can eat through metal.

Morocco has ordered his ants to eat all the metal they can found, so the team is stuck having to choose to either spend the day battling Morocco or save their town from ruin.

Dani and Blades will keep an eye on Morocco while the others stop the ant swarm, which is devouring everything downtown.

Doc suspects that Morocco's ant commanding transmitter, if it uses radio waves, might be sending out electronic versions of pheromones. Since ants can't talk, they use smells to communicate over distance.

Cody suspects Graham's cologne might be able to stop the ants. Yep, it's as silly as it sounds.

The MorBot's left the island and Dani & Blades lost it in a cloud bank.

Some ants got onboard the MorBot and are eating both it and Morocco's command device. The robot has crashed into the sea with the doctor still inside it.

The ants are eating the water slide, but Amy and the Bots got all the swimmers away in time. Too bad for the slide, though.

The cologne is delivered by Blades and is able to attract the ants all the way to Doc's lab, where they are trapped back into their ant farm.

Much to Kade's disappointment, Graham got rid of his cologne since it's dangerous to play with pheromones.

Graham never needed the cologne anyway. Heatave sprayed him earlier, so his confidence he showed when saving everyone at the pool earlier came from himself.

Graham musters the courage to ask Amy to see the final blueprints of the slide.

Chief wishes they had caught Morocco, since he fears they haven't seen the last of him.

Out at sea, Morocco tries to row the remains of his MorBot (which is still being torn apart by the ants). Things are looking pretty grim for him.

Voice cast
Amy -- Hynden Walch
Doctor Morocco -- still Greg Ellis
Tesla isn't credited, but it sounded just like Frank Welker's Abu voice.

This episode wasn't bad, but was pretty simple. A basic "villain tries to escape confinement" story with some diversionary tactics thrown into the mix. Morocco's plan was sorta sound on paper, but also a bit farfetched (then again, this is Griffin Rock, where stuff like this happens 24/7). Though, it wound up backfiring on him in the end, leaving him stranded at sea. However, we also got some more focus on Graham, who doesn't get as much as the others. And we got a new love interest for him, which gives one to every member of the main human cast (Kade/Hayley, Dani/Taylor, Graham/Amy, Chief/Carin, Doc/Baranova, and if you want to imagine their future, Cody/Frankie). Overall, not bad, simple, but charming enough.

Does anyone else find it surprising that they dropped the dinosaur stuff after the firs two episodes of the season and haven't acknowledged it since? Particularly since they showed dino modes for Heatwave, Blades, and Chase at SDCC.
