Sorry, after I posted that, I foun .cd a DM link that is secure http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2r40r ... shortfilms if thats the one I think it is.

I agree, with as deep as the Rescue Bots have gone before, this is odd, but I think I find the actual choice in topic more odd for the demographic than anything else. I could be wrong, but I!'m not sure the target age is the right one to be going all World Wildlife Foundation on, although a few years in, their earliest fans might have grown up en o ugh. Or, maybe I have my age brackets wrong

Crazy thought, that I dont think will happen, what if their bringing up the Secret because after 3 seasons, the Cats out of the bg? But more probably, I think the Finale might have somethong to do with Jules, they left him deliberazely hanging.

The plot of this episode does sort of mirror the story of the ivory-billed woodpecker - though sightings of that bird have never been confirmed. But I agree, I don't think the target audience (or even the periphery audience) is too much the WWF kind of crowd. :CON:

I wouldn't call it "weak" per se, but certainly "weaker" than what we've gotten recently.

Hopefully the season finale to come in episodes 77-78 will be well worth the wait.

As a refresher, these are the remaining four episodes to come (episode 76 sounds slaggin' hilarious):

Episode 75 - "More than Meets the Eye" (May 30, 2015)
An injured Chase uncovers many mysteries while Doc's magician sister visits Griffin Rock.

Episode 76 - "I Have Heard the Robots Singing" (June 6, 2015)
Tensions arise on the team after Doc's new invention causes everyone to sing instead of talk.

Episode 77 - "Now and Then" (June 13, 2015)
The Island of Griffin Rock vanishes from the ocean.

Episode 78 - "Today and Forever" (June 13, 2015)
In order to save Griffin Rock, the Rescue Bots must make the ultimate sacrifice.

Soo... Funny Story.

Amazon FINALLY has Chief Woodrow up and listed, but as Epside 24... of THIS season. Not that I'm that phased by it, but I've still yet to watch it an would really like the REAL episode 24...

Episode 75 -

Doc's sister/Frankie's aunt is Maura the Magnificent.

The Bots are uncomfortable watching the magic act with the stabbing a basket with swords while the assistant is inside it.

Chase was late to arrive due to filing a report.

Chase interferes with the act, but the assistant inside the basket had already gotten out, and Maura improvised like a natural to work Chase's interruption into her act.

Chase crashed through a trap door on the stage.

Short theme song.

Chase's incident with the trap door is what causes his leg injury.

Doc's made some illusions for his sister's acts in the past, and she's come this time to pick up the latest one he's built for her.

To Doc, "Magic is just science dressed up, and science no more than magic explained."

Chase exclaims "Nuts and bolts."

Blades appears to be the team's medical expert. His diagnosis of Chase's injury is that Chase will either have to go into healing stasis for a few days or stay off his feet for a week. Chase chooses the latter, and Cody offers to let Chase do Cody's job of watching the command center.

Since the commander center is built for humans, Chase will instead use the monitors in the underground Autobot base next to the bunker. He's also in a giant Autobot-sized wheelchair, and Chief will ride with Dani and Blades in Chase's absence.

A truck trailer is complete stuck under an overpass. Clearly the truck was delivering said overpass and ran out of gas.[/BillEngvallHere'sYourSign] :P

Maura insists on staying at her motel instead of Doc's lab, especially since she couldn't bring her tiger Blizzard.

Chase reports the Mayor's wife panicking over what he assumes to be her husband missing, when it's really just Poopsie (who was just out of sight around the corner from her) she was overreacting about.

Ha! Heatwave transformed while Kade was leaning against him, causing Kade to gasp and stumble.

Chase witnesses Maura's assistant suspiciously entering Maura's motel room and activating some fireworks-based magic tricks from inside the building, starting a fire.

The team puts out the fire and saves Blizzard, but the assistant is nowhere to be found.

The devices Doc made for Maura's grand finale are gone.

Frankie's great-grandmother Loraine/Lorraine/however her name is spelled was also a magician. She had planned to go over Griffin Falls in one of her magic barrels, but left magic behind to raise a family.

One barrel is to show the crowd, while the is air-pressurized, like riding on a cushion of air.

Maura wants to do the Griffin Falls barrel trick that her grandmother didn't get to do, but even despite her assuring Doc that she can do it, Doc is against the idea since it's still to dangerous to try,

Maura is the elder sibling between her and Doc.

Chase reports that three stores were robbed, but with no visible suspects despite the cash having been taken in broad daylight.

All three stores claim to have been robbed by an invisible thief.

Chase calls Frankie so that she can spy on Maura's assistant.

The assistant returns to the motel room. As Frankie enters, she accidently knocks off her comm link.

Frankie's trapped in the room with Blizzard.

The teams gets her out... only to find that she's befriended Blizzard.

The team's trust is Chase is wearing ever thin now that they've learned that Chase put Frankie up to this. However, Doc reveals that Chase's suspicions about the assistant aren't so unfounded since the tricks that were made by Doc for Maura's act were a set of invisibility cloaks (well, ponchos, really) and that the assistant was the only other person besides Doc and Maura that knew about them.

Two more places have been robbed by the invisible thief. All five robbed locations form a circle around the bank.

The team sets a trap at the bank with a trip wire and a hologram to catch the thief. Or thieves, as there are two of them.

Two assistants! Graham explains that it's a classic magician strategy to hire twins for a vanishing act.

And these aren't just any twins. Dani exposes them to be none other than longtime Griffin Rock criminals Evan and Myles.

Even and Myles had used Maura's air-pressurized barrel to stash their cash in, so the barrel Maura has is the ordinary one!

In the absence of her assistants, two other Griffin Rock residents (whose names escape me at the moment) help Maura with her act.

Blades and Dani are on their way to the falls, but it's gonna take the rest of the team some time to get there. Chase risks his condition to hurry to the falls himself since he's closer.

Blades manages to catch Maura's barrel just as it falls over the falls.

But Maura isn't in it! She got out at some point.

But then she falls over the falls for real!

Phew! Chase caught her. She could have been dead for real that time!

Maura was able to do the trick without her grandmother's barrel by instead using an upgraded and improved barrel based on the original one's design.

Chase is about ready to get back into the field.

Cree Summer -- Maura the Magnificent

Okay! Now we're talking. After the last two weeks giving us simpler episodes, this episode returns us to the kind of over-the-top, daredevilish, death-defying fun blended together with small town heartwarming tenderness that this show is known and loved for. Let's start with the obvious high point of Maura the Magnificent. Cree Summer nailed it as this character being wonderfully entertaining and giving us a look into some of the history of the Greene family. Chase too was a highlight of this episode, inadvertently slotting into a "boy who cried wolf" role that suited his overzealous adherence to safety protocols quite well. It's rare that we get to see this much conflict with this team, especially between the likes of Chief and Chase since those tend to always get along so well. I'm reminded of how episode 1 established those two as the only Autobot/human partnership that had no problems getting along, and yet this episode depicts Chief constantly annoyed by Chase's zeal to help out, especially when said zeal goes far enough to put Frankie in danger. It really helps bring out the humanity in this show's already dynamic cast of characters. So this episode was a real winner.

I had a feeling the assistant was Evan and/or Myles around the time Frankie was following them the second time they access Maura's motel room. Not to mention their disguise was - well, it was pretty obvious that it was a guy in a wig and fake beard.

Nice to see Cree Summer returning to Transformers, and as LeVar's sister. ;)

Started watching this show last week with my sons. What a great kids show. Seriously, I love how safe it is for them to watch, and surprisingly enjoyable for me.

I'll admit, it's very weird watching a transformer show with no Decepticons.

Welcome to the second-longest (soon to be the first-longest) TF cartoon since G1. :D

It's full of fun, action, drama, comedy, and a lot of heart. It mixes the small town friendliness and heartwarming and wit of The Andy Griffith Show with the daredevilish, death-defying zaniness and thrills of the Back to the Future movies, along with surprises and more for everyone to enjoy. It's like if Doc Brown lived in Mayberry, plus giant robots. :P

Though, don't worry about the lack of Decepticons. This show has plenty to offer in their stead, from natural disasters to manmade crises to sci-fi horrors to competent sinister plots and intrigue, this show has a little of everything for everyone to enjoy.

And of course, the occasional celebrity actor guest stars don't hurt. ;)

And it's even in continuity with Transformers: Prime, taking place at roughly the same time as that show.

So tell me, with this show being difficult to come by via most ordinary means (as in, it's neither readily available to watch on YouTube, nor is it available on DVD in season sets), are you and your kids watching each episode in order and through what venue?

You just described the middle seasons of Eureka, but I digress.

Also, given Chief's Deputy's name, the Mayberry descriptor is EXTREMELY apt.

Are you guys watching them in order, or just whatever records?

I highly recommend watching the show from start to finish. The first 13 episodes of season 1 alone feel like a complete story with a beginning, middle, and end. If you have Netflix, the entire first season, second season, and first half of season 3 are on there to watch.

However, for season 2, two episodes were held back from their proper airing placements and didn't get to air until when season 3 was airing, so Netflix mistakenly lists one of these episodes as a season 3 episode, and the other skipped episode from season 2 hasn't been put on Netflix yet (but it more than likely will likewise be listed as a season 3 episode when it is).

Here's a full rundown of the show's episodes in their proper order (Note that, as of this typing, the final three episodes of season 3 have not aired yet):

22. Little White Lies
23. Shake Up
24. Rescue Boy

A new episode has aired on the TV. The seventy-sixth on Discovery Family.
It's really funny and in addition, There is a twist to its condition.
Its name will explain everything: "I Have Heard the Robots Singing"
Priscilla Pynch steals Doc's latest invention, that makes this ep have a musical spin!
RESCUE BOTS! Crank up the mic, now! Everyone sings, with no stopping!
RESCUE BOTS! They really sing, wow! RESCUE BOTS!
And as a bonus is a trailer for thee, Rescue Bots season 3 finale!
RESCUE BOTS! Watch while you can, now! RESCUE BOTS!

Episode 76 -

Today's the auditions for Griffin Rock Idol.

The theme song is, unfortunately, the shortened version. I say "unfortunately" this time because, HOLY COW, SINGALONG VERSION!!!!

"Power Up and Energize!" -- Boulder uses a Collision Foam Cannon to soften Huxley, saving him from falling to his death.

Doc's new device is the "Tone-O-Tuner". When anyone sings into the microphone, it keeps them on pitch automatically and instantaneously. Doc figured it could be useful for the auditions.

Frankie and Cody convince Doc to put it away since letting everyone use it would be like cheating, but as he puts it up, Priscilla overhears Doc talk about the device and steals it when he isn't looking.

When she can't get it to work right, she gets rid of it by dumping it in Huxley's news van. And Huxley comes along afterward and tosses his microphone into the van, with it landing right on the Tone-O-Tuner.

The Bots have to make a presentation to Optimus, which will also involve Blurr, Salvage, High Tide, and a few others. The presentation will see the team go over rescue basics with the new guys.

Huxley crashes his van after Don loses his attention while driving his own car.

Huxley's camera falls right onto his broadcasting console, activating both it and the Tone-o-Tuner, causing the van to emit the Tone-o-Tuner's effects and making everyone sing everything they say in a music video format.

The team alerts Doc to all the singing, and he realizes that his Tone-O-Tuner is very likely the cause.

Blurr, Salvage, High Tide, and three other Protoforms get ready for the team's presentation. Unfortunately, Optimus couldn't make it, so Blurr and the others will be recording the presentation themselves. They're also going to put the recording of the presentation in the archives or future use.

At first, the Bots try to explain that they're forced to sing everything they say, but Boulder, Chase, and Blades quickly take advantage of their new condition and decide to give the presentation in song (Heatwave refuses to sing). Salvage seems to be digging the singing, though. As does one of the Protoforms.

Blurr tries to goad Heatwave and Kade into singing, but they (harmoniously) refuse.

Now that the entire town is able to sing, the entire town is all lined up for the auditions.

Chase actually singing properly is even funnier than his monotone "singing" from the Robo-Baby episode.

Blades is too shy to give his presentation, so Dani's helping to fill in for his nervousness.

Huxley, still unaware of what's causing all the singing, boosts the broadcast signal of his van for his news report, but the strengthened signal causes the ground to quake and glass to break wherever he goes.

Since Chase had to be present for the presentation, Chief used the Old Squad Car to get around in.

For Heatwave's presentation, he and Kade are going to give a demonstration of themselves in action (with an accompanying Beach Boys-esque song that also sounds like "Greased Lightning").

Heatwave: "Ready to rock and roll to the rescue!"

Huxley drives over the city hall, causing it to crumble too.

The team sings a song to the tune of the show's theme song!

"Power Up... Power Up and Energize!" -- Heatwave and Boulder both use dual-barreled water guns.

Huxley's van is finally revealed to be the culprit and Doc both finds and shuts off his Tone-O-Tuner, ending the singing (aw man!).

Um, the Bots are speaking normally with personality in front of the public onlookers, yet no one makes a fuss over it.

The city hall security camera got a shot of Priscilla stashing the device inside Huxley's van.

However, she gets her comeuppance when she fails her audition.

Frankie sings a great song for her audition. Though, perhaps a little too great, as her voice switches to that of a young adult instead of a child when singing (her voice actress, Diamond White, is 16 in real life). Still, she does let Priscilla duet with her for part of it.

Naturally, Frankie is made Griffin Rock Idol.

The end credits feature an additional song.

This episode ROCKED! It. Was. AWESOME! The singing was phenomenal, only made better by all the visuals that were put into the songs. Especially during the presentation songs. The imagery in Boulder's song and the Dani/Blades duet was especially gorgeous and otherworldly. They really went all out with this one and didn't make any of the singing bits cringeworthy in the slightest. In a way, it almost had a sort of MLPFIM feeling to it, but with a different flavor to it. Slag, if this episode proved anything, it's that this show NEEDS an album release containing all of its songs. The theme song, "Land of Tech", the two Clint Black songs ("Ready to Roll" and "Light the Fire"), and every song from this episode!

And next week is the two-part season 3 finale, in which the Bots must pull off their toughest rescue yet!

Quickie grabs:

I THINK "I'm Okay" was supposed to be set to the old NBC chime but being in a different key makes it harer to tell, but given this show and it's Easter Eggs, I wouldn't put it past them.

I felt a few places in the beginning where the singing fit in at first where words weren't landing on actual notes or the tune at large. Chief mostly. Maybe it's the HS Choir side. I tend to cringe at musical shows, But this was pretty good. (Side note: What I hated most about Les Miserables was the siging. I now it's a Musical, but Hello! French Revolution! Death and Destruction! Murder in the Streets! Why are yo SINGING about it? It loses something i thought)

An it was good to see High Tide and Salvage and Blurr again. I was hoping "Others" might mean Team Prime, although I kinda knew thst was a LONGshot. But at least we got to see more Rescuebots! Mybe we'll get Hoist and Medix after all.

With a fourth season on the way, it looks like Rescue Bots will be surpassing the episode count of the original G1 series. Quite an accomplishment, wouldn't you agree?

Why is it sad news? The season finales are always awesome moments we all look forward to. If this was the end of the show for good, then yeah that would be sad. But there is a fourth season coming, so it isn't the end. It's the big climax we've been waiting for and ought to be great. I can't speak for anyone else, but I sure don't want a sad season finale, I want this season to go out on a high note of awesome once again. 8)

Episode 77 -

An old newsreel (sponsored by Luskey's Hair Tonic) reports the burying of a time capsule 75 years ago. Present at the burial are Dr. Morocco, the young Mrs. Neederlander as a child, and Dr. Elma Hendrickson (who spearheaded the effort). The time capsule was buried under the statue of Horace Burns.

Cody and Frankie are using the newsreel for a school project about the unearthing of the time capsule the following day.

There is no record of what was buried in the time capsule.

Heatwave remarks about how long the Bots have been on the island yet it's still not ready to accept alien visitors (hence the Bots' have had to pretend to be machines all this time).

Chief, Doc, and Chase are searching for diamonds in an old mine, using Doc's Gemstone Detector to locate them. They're looking for one to create a special engagement ring for Anna. As in Anna Baranova. Holy cow, Doc's gonna propose! I didn't realize they were that serious yet! Though, we haven't seen her since the episode where Quarry captured her, but still! This is big!

The three have fallen down a deeper mine shaft!

Yes! Full theme song!

Phew! Chase caught them.

Doc's found not one but two kinds of gemstones in the lower chamber. He refers to the second one as a rare form of some gem called "Reactolene".

His Gemstone Detector detects several veins of reactolene running under the entire island. Doc's only encountered one other specimen of this caliber in an ancient statue displayed at the museum. He;s always wanted to experiment on it, but it's much too valuable. Chief has Chase grab the rock to take back with them.

A mob has gathered in front of the firehouse to show Chief what items they want put into the new time capsule.

Tomorrow is official "Dig-up-an-old-time-capsule-and-bury-a-new-one Day".

Heatwave reminds the team that, in spite of everything the Bots have done for this town, they're still seen as just rescue equipment, declaring that he and the other Bots are not a part of this town's community.

Chief figures the crowd outside will leave once a forthcoming storm arrives. He also hopes that Woodrow (who is coming over on his boat [HOORAY!]) won't get caught in it.

In Doc's testing the reactolene, he finds that it's so conductive that it temporarily takes on the properties of whatever energy source it's exposed to.

Upon testing the reactolene's magnetic properties, the rock is not drawn towards metal, but to something else. So much so that it literally bursts out of the lab and shoots across the island toward downtown!

"Power Up and Energize!" -- Chase uses a grappler claw to snag the reactolene, but it gets free.

The reactolene smashes into the museum and strikes against a green griffin statue.

Out at sea, Woodrow was asleep at the wheel of his boat (the S.S. Close Encounter), unaware of the storm that had blown in.

His ship is sunk, and pulls him down with it. But a shadowy figure in the water swims after him.

It was High Tide! Woodrow awakens to find himself aboard the Rescue Rig with High Tide, Blurr, and Salvage keeping silent in vehicle mode, unaware of Woodrow being an Autobot ally.

Woodrow recognizes Salvage's Autobrand and reveals that he knows about Autobots.

Optimus has told Salvage about Woodrow and his underground expedition.

The three Bots are also headed to Griffin Rock. Optimus asked them to observe the time capsule ceremony as a lesson in Earth culture.

The ceremony has begun, and Doc intends to pop the question as soon as it's over.

The Bots remove the time capsule and Chief opens it. Inside is... a large crystal! With a note included.

The note reads, "Dear future citizens of Griffin Rock, I'm Dr. Elma Hendrickson. I am sorry for removing the items from the time capsule. But this quantum crystal is an important discovery, and too dangerous to fall into the wrong hands. I trust the scientists of tomorrow will be much more responsible with it."

In the flashback, Dr. Morocco is seen watching as Elma inserts the crystal into the time capsule.

Frankie recalls that it only took a tiny bit of quantum crystal to power Doc's teleportation device, the one from the season 2 premiere that zapped the MHQ all over town. With a crystal this big, however, there's no telling what it's capable of. The mayor asks if the island shoulbe evacuated, but is instead recommended to clear the area until they know what they're dealing with.

The storm gets worse. As the crystal is lifted to put it back inside the time capsule, it is struck by lightning and falls into the hole where the capsule was buried, unearthing a vein of reactolene. The quantum crystal sends a charge into the reactolene, which courses all through its veins throughout the island. The entire island is teleported away, leaving a gigantic crater in the middle of the ocean! Only the Luskeys (who were aboard their yacht), several citizens who were at the docks, and those aboard High Tide's vessel were spared from the teleportation.

The island was transported to the Arctic.

The quantum crystal was destroyed in the process.

Until they can find a way to get out of this, the island's dome will be raised (for however long its power will last), but the four dome generators must be de-iced.

Meanwhile, Woodrow, High Tide, Salvage, and Blurr rescue the adrift citizens.

"Power Up and Energize!" -- The Bots use dual-barreled water cannons to blast the generators with De-icing Foam.

The dome is up, but it's depleting the energy supplies faster than anticipated.

To be continued...

Michael Bell -- Newsreel Narrator
The woman who yelps when Salvage scoops her up is uncredited.

Hoo boy. Things are really looking bleak in this one. In fact, this who episode has had a very serious, even at times grim, tone to it. The reveal of the quantum crystal in the time capsule was unexpected, as I was thinking the shocked reaction to opening it was going to be an empty tim capsule. But instead, we got something more surprising and really dangerous. I can't help but wonder if the quantum crystal might actually be energon. On the more upside, however, this episode dived hard and fast into something that this show does really well: Worldbuilding. We got more of Griffin Rock's history and special qualities with the time capsule, the flashback to Elma Hendrickson and Dr. Morocco, and the reactolene. I'm real eager to see where things go from here in the next one.

Episode 78 -

Frankie and Cody continue making their time capsule video. It is used here to recap the previous episode.

Without eternal power, the dome won't last more than a day.

Graham and Boulder has previously taken apart the Sigma for maintenance, so it's no good to go.

Dani volunteers Blades and herself to go fly out for help.

An avalanche strikes Blades upon his exit from the dome.

Short theme song.

Heatwave heads out of the dome to help Blades.

Blades refers to the Disney-Pixar film Up after Cody suggests using Floatium to fly the island home (a la tying balloons to a house to make it fly).

For propulsion and steering, Heatwave suggests using the Sigma's rocket in conjuunction with the Floatium to get the island back to Maine.

The Floatium successfully lifts the island upward, and the rocket is installed in the earth beneath the island's surface. Let's just hope that earth holds together. If it crumbles, the island will be utterly destroyed.

An Energize screwdriver (flathead) is used to screw in the rocket with some giant Philips head screws.

Griffin Rock finally gets phone reception and Woodrow is called by Chief. He tells Woodrow that the island has to line up perfectly with the hole it left when it lands, or the island could break apart.

Blurr discovers that the hole is filled with sunken debris from the docks. It'll taken days to clear it out.

Doc realizes he never got a chance to propose to Anna. Frankie encourages him to do so right now.

A huge hole just opened in the ground next to Mr. Pfeiffer's shop.

Without solid earth to support them, the underground tunnels are crumbling.

Boulder's made a map of the island's most unstable places, one of which is at Baranova's house.

The two scientists have fallen through a sinkhole, just as Doc was proposing!

Chase and Chief arrive just in time to pull them up!

Doc suggests they fill the holes with foam, and when Anna gives answers his proposal ("Yes"), Doc mistakes it for an agreement to his foam plan. But Chief and Chase help him understand. There's no kiss, though.

Something is wrong with the dome. A new sinkhole just opened up near one of the dome generators. Boulder tries to pull up the generator's power supply, but the cables give out and the power supply falls to the ocean. One-fourth of the dome shuts down and the island begins to descend prematurely.

Graham hooks up a backup battery to the generator, repairing the dome and stablizing the island, but not for long.

Griffin Rock in about an hour away from home, but they're running out of power to keep the dome up.

Heatwave suggests recruiting the citizens to manually turn the turbines at the wind farm and water dam to generate enough power to keep the dome online.

Everyone works together to get the turbines moving.

Optimus has come to assist Blurr, Salvage, and High Tide in clearing the undersea crater.

High Tide: "Working together just like old times, eh O.P.?"
Optimus: "And the stakes are just as high." -- I like this little nod to Peter Cullen and Michael Bell reunited to work together again on a TF show.

Woodrow recognizes the reactolene found on the floor of the crater.

Everyone on the island has become exhausted. They're losing power and the island's still not reach its destination yet.

The dome's giving out and the Sigma's rocket has turned off, having run out of energon. The island's falling!

The rescue team forces itself past the point of exhaustion to keep the windmills turning, restoring enough power to the dome and restablizing the island.

The Bots suggest using their own energon to keep the dome powered, even at the cost of their own lives.

Cheif contacts Optimus about the island's loss of propulsion, and he, Salvage, and Blurr use Energize hooks to tow the island to its proper location, while High Tide uses his Mega-Bot Mode to keep the seafloor clear.

The mayor, Huxley, and Captain Shaw are amazed by the sight of High Tide's Mega-Bot Mode.

The four Rescue Bots are fading fast.

Doc, Frankie, and Anna magnetize the reactolene to make the island return to its proper arrangement inside the crater.

Optimus has said that his team's medic (Ratchet) has seen to the Rescue Bots and has given them several energon transfusions.

They're ALIVE!

The new time capsule is ready to be closed up and buried.

Historical items that show Griffin Rock's significance were chosen to go into the time capsule, including the video Frankie and Cody made in its unedited form (which contains footage of the Bots being themselves). They hope that, in 75 years, Griffin Rock will be accepting of alien robots. Optimus agrees, and decides that the team's newest mission to help Griffin Rock becoming accepting towards the Autobots starting now.

When asked if he and his team will carry out this mission, Heatwave can only give one answer: "Rescue Bots... Roll to the Rescue!"

As the human partner board their robot partners, Woodrow boards Salvage and Cody and Servo board Blurr.

And they ride off into the sunset.

Gotta admit, that was really something. It was gripping suspense with trying to keep the island's dome powered en route back to Maine, topped off with a very touching ending. And to be perfectly honest, I wasn't sure if the Bots were going to make it. I actually considered the possibility of this show having the four of them die in their final moment of heroism. This show has just been so well done that I completely ignored the fact that this show's target audience wouldn't go for that at all. However, because of the nature of Cybertronians, we can still say that, when the four of them were depleted of energon, they were considered practically deceased. Their sparks might not have yet gone out (but very well could have), but their bodies were definitely lifeless for that time. So in a way, they did make the ultimate sacrifice, but were given a second chance at life thanks to how Cybertronian death differs from human death, being reversible in certain cases like this one. While that may feel like a cop out in theory, in execution it made for a really heartfelt turning point for the series. Speaking of turning points, thi episode has changed the status quo with the Bots now having to work to make the rest of the island accept them as people instead of as robots. And Doc's getting married!

Though, a few things from both the previous episode and "The Last of Morocco" remain unfinished. Namely that Madeline Pynch still has the Verne Device, Jules Verne's first encounter with the Rescue Bots has yet to be seen, and the whole business with the Quantum Crystal (which was not stated either way about it being energon or not) in the past with Morocco and Elma Hendrickson needs to be touched upon. Hopefully these and more will be covered in season 4, to which I look forward to watching very much. Rescue Bots... Roll to the Rescue!

From the synopsies though, this seems an interesting medium to be dealing with marraige, again given the age bracket. Not weird like the endangered species, because there's actual, relevant material (to the age range) here and has been in past episodes, with learning to accept new people to the role of parent and family. And while I worry that any more focus would be a soppy, emotional disservice to the true subjectmatter (Hint: they're 20ft tall and made of metal) I wonder too if the show migbt've benefited from another Greene centric episode like the Quarry eps not for Plot benefit, but viewership benefit. Forget comedy or nything else, that a cartoon is willing to reach out and paint actual, household topics, somewhat subtley (or not) as background plots is what makes a Cartoon good. We can laugh and cheer through a season of G1, but if a child can relate his/her Step-Mom to be to Frankie Doc and Baranova, its earned its timeslot
