NICE Kanra! He's an Autobot Pretender I've actively hunted, but haven't bought yet -- his whip is probably the best Pretender weapon.

I'm excited for his Prime Master too, no doubt. As much as I prefer the scale of the new Prime Masters for the "humanoid" shells, there's no substitute for the originals imho.

Although I believe Sky Shadow comes close to Black Shadow.... ;p
And it's great to see the shelf of some of your Pretenders! But unless you include G1 Metalhawk, the Autobots don't stand a chance against the Kaijucons...

Cloudburst may be the best looking humanoid Pretender. I have Waverider, and he is pretty good, but Cloudburst does look better. And Waverider is one of my few watercraft TFs, so he's cool in that capacity too

It's odd how many water-based Pretenders there were, D! But to deal with the pressures of the deep, perhaps the shells were really the only way.

I took some more pics with Bomb-Burst last night -- he's been one the most fun of the G1 Pretenders simply because he's a robo-vampire.

Turn out that my Cloudburst have the whip's handle broken.
It suck but eh, it still work. I wish I'd knew about it before buying.

BTW, I ordered the Reprolabels upgrade sheet for him. His labels were pretty damaged and the sheet come with a bunch of bonus stickers that will make him look incredibly pimp!

I need Reprolabels for all my Pretenders -- can't wait to see Cloudburst done right, Kanra.

Thunderwing still needs his cyclone cannon, but on his AccessoryQuest, he's been blessed with the right pegholes....

I'm too tired right now to take and post any pictures. Still, Cloudburst is now all repro'd-up and he look BOSS. Those stickers are way better than the half-clear, yellowed originals.

I'm a huge fan of Pretenders because of all the accessories they come with. One of the things I regret the most are selling off my 1988 Decepticon Pretenders. I'd like to add them back to my collection some day.

Fortunately, I have the Pretender Monsters, Thunderwing, Bludgeon, and Oilmaster.

As Kanra mentioned, hunting down the others should be a lot cheaper than the three you still have -- you can find them around $40 complete, I'd say.

I'd love to see pics of Oilmaster or the other two if you want to share -- I don't think we see enough Bludgeon.

I hope HasTak revisits Monstructor someday -- it'd be great to have him!

This version of Spike originally came with Masterpiece Optimus Prime (MP10)! I believe Spike in his Exo-Suit comes with MP Bumblebee (MP21)....but mine is a KO, and came with MPP10. :p

The photos originally came about thanks to episode 38 of the G1 cartoon. I figured Longtooth would fit right in!

Thunderwing is such an awesome figure. Sadly, I bought mine on the secondary market, and he is missing all of his guns. I've been tempted to try to pick some up on eBay, but they're all pretty expensive and are actually more than I paid for Thunderwing himself.

Speaking of Thunderwing, I'm currently making a TR Thunderwing custom using the Siege on Cybertron Titan Master and the TLK voyager Nitro body. Yeah, that's not original at all but I really WANTED to do it so much! I consider that Thunderwing head to be worth nearly 200$ because the whole set was bought for it alone.

When my custom is finished, I'll post the link for the custom thread. Some exclusive pictures will be posted here too in due time. Stay tuned!

That seems to be the story with trying to obtain the Pretenders now -- the base figure and shell may be around $20 (depending on who, of course), but the accessories are a killer.

I got T-Dubz for a great price, but he was missing that little cyclone gun. And as you observed, on eBay the cheapest is around 55-60+. That's why he borrowed Longtooth's gun for the shots I took of them recently.99.9% of the time, he's in his shell, though.

I bet your Thunderwing will look great, Kanra!

AND IT'S DONE! I even applied some leftover Reprolabels. However I fear to transform it now to make all the shots. The paint may be dry but it's not hardened yet. I'll post the pictures tomorrow. Let me tell you that I really succeed this time. TLK Nitro was MEANT to be turned into Thunderwing.

Do you think Hasbro or Takara will do the same as a "Platinum" or some other special exclusive eventually?

I just couldn't wait until tomorrow. So here's TLK/TR Thunderwing!
