Despite my dissapointment that a second SmackDown PPV in a row is headlined by a tag match, it should be a very good match. There's no point in a WHC match, because even the dumbest mark on the planet can see Batista/Taker at Mania by now.

I hope this works but here goes...

With Super Sunday fast approaching and me bored at the comp I went searching to find....

http://home.deckpoint.ch/~inderbitzin/WWFpub.ram

That was the Super Bowl Commercial that the WWF ran a few years ago and then I remembered how good it use to be. :( I never thought Id knowingly skip wrestling for any reason but its just gotten so stupid that I hardly watch any more.

Too much gum chewing and not enough a$$ kicking. Its almsot as if Vince doesnt even care any more.

C.M. Punk's push is now said to be completely dead as he got even more heat on him this past week. There were complaints to management about his attitude in the locker room, claiming he acts like he's a main event and they perceive him as talking down to younger wrestlers. The Smackdown vets are of the opinion that who is he to act like he's a star when he's never proven anything. This is not uncommon for people who have had success elsewhere to garner that rep in WWE. In WWE, the perception is you are nothing unless you have proven it in WWE (unless you are someone like a Ric Flair). This was a problem a lot of the ex-WCW and ECW talent early on had, because they thought they were stars, and in WWE, the existing wrestlers who were mid-card perceived mid-card WWE means more than a push in WCW, so who are you. So you can imagine what Punk, as a star in ROH, is going to mean. One Smackdown wrestler noted that almost nobody likes him. If he was a "top guy" like Nash saying the exact same things in the exact same way, everything he does with his quick wit in the dressing room would be considered cool. But with the caste system, his sarcastic wit is taken negatively. The feeling is he acts respectful but in a funny way, in that people think it's not the words he said (which don't sound bad at all when they're repeated) but how people take his words. The Maria thing does him no favors. There is a feeling he won't be cut because it would be an embarrassment if TNA brings him in and he becomes a star with them.

Wow, this company amazes me sometimes.

And yet, he's still being mentioned on TV, lasted almost 30 minutes in the rumble and is in the middle of a nice little back and forth mid-card feud. If they were burying him, Striker would have 2 clean wins over Punk. No proof of a depush here.

Also, Wrestling Observer just likes to add fuel to the fire. I don't consider them a credible wrestling news source.

Yeah I don't buy it either.

On a curious note does the RVD loss this week mean he had to put Holly over before he leaves?

I watched it last night, the talent was pretty good as was the match, but I found the explosion and live electric wires to be really gimmicky.

Plus I'm not sure who was doing commentary, but clearly they don't know much about wrestling. Seeing as how they mentioned Sixpac was a former WWE Champion (sure he's held WWE titles, but not the WWE championship), and an original member of DX.

For those that do not recall original DX was HHH,HBK then Chyna was added then briefly Rick Rude, Mike Tyson if you wanna count him...I don't...after Tyson's turn X-Pac (Six Pac) was added with The New Age Outlaws (Jesse James the Road Dogg, and Bad Ass Billy Gunn)later that night. Finally Tori (not Torrie Wilson) was added.

If you wanna stretch things Kane was briefly affiliated when X-Pac befriended him (later to be betrayed), and Jim Neidhart was brought on for one night but was betrayed.

The explosions are a little cheesy, but the wrestling is fast paced and exciting. A tad short, but not ya can do with that 30 minute time slot.

WSX is pretty awesome, plus, Vampiro is their champ. That immediately makes them amazing.

I'm really liking Teddy Hart though. Does everyone in that damn family have talent or something?

and its cool to see a local guy on there. The other half of The Filth and The Fury. Mdogg 20 Matt Cross.

Hopefully, WSX will get renewed for another season.

i recall some one on this thread saying bald = titles. if thats the case, no ecw originonls vs new breed could make me want to watch ecw

ECW needs to change soon because it is now a joke. Vince needs to let ECW be ECW. This watered down version is crap. I'm not surprised though. Smackdown needs to go away. WWE has become too watered down. I think there should be just Raw and ECW. Put your best talents in each and have the 2 factions fight each other. Maybe then TNA could grow and become more of a competitor with WWE. I don't know just an idea to save me from the crap I see on tv these days.

I just saw WSX last night funny it aired Opposite ECW It reminds of what ECW used to be in Paul E days Really good stuff that I hope continues to grow and get better. ECW needs to put to bed its a farce And McMahon all told us how much the Thinks the Original ECW sucks. the show is terrible.

Just watched a replay of WSX. Pretty exciting stuff. I must say it also reminds me of early ECW. Hope it continues to grow.

See I have to admit for the first time since ECW started up again it finally had a coherent story line developing, clearly old ECW vs New Breed. It seems to be the first time anything looks to be planned for the future, as opposed to the last few months where every night every match seemed planned on the fly.

Question is will it go somewhere or is this just a pre-'mania ploy to get us interested for a little while.
