Michael Bay has said that he'd like to do sequels for the movie.

An actor (possibly Shia Lebouf) in the TF movie has a tow-film contract.

Let's face it, there will probably be a series. I'm guessing that the main characters won't change, but maybe a few will get rebuilt and some more characters will be added.

Does this mean that they are going to re-release the 1st movie toys for the 2nd movie?

Me: "what do you think Dark Scorpinoc?"

Thinking about a sequel, and the first have not been even released yet. Maybe the movie sucks, you know?

We'll get Powerlinx Movie Prime.

All the main tfs will magically get reformatted at the beginning of every movie.

Just like A/E/C.

I bet the explination (or lack thereof) will be as good too.

Just because the movie sucks doesn't mean we won't get a sequel. Its the third "Sci-fi original" movie that you have to worry about.

How can an unfinished movie suck?

First off, yes, it is very possible for a bad movie to suck. BloodRayne (A Uwe Boll film) is getting a sequel, and so is DooM. (Though I thought DooM was awesome)

Second, getting a little ahead of yourself, are we? First one hasn't even been finished yet, and you're worrying about a sequel.

If there is a sequel, it'll probably be about humanity trying to adapt to the fact that living, alien robots walk among them, and all the social, political, religious, etc. etc. adjustments related.

I hear you that was my biggest fear say i get movie Ironhide the next year acooler one comes out but its steal the same character and look just a better toy what to do i think they should just release the old toys again in addition to the new characters?

I've been fearing the slightest word of a sequel. That's why I'm organizing a boycott.

Ok one man army. Back on subject I wouldn't be surprised if for future movies the would get upgraded and changed. It would only make sense from the point of selling toys.

Agreed.

The movie will have atleast one sequel, as the producers aren't done sucking the marrow from the bones of 80's pop-culture.

Now this will obviously call for new vehicles, new looks, new autobots, as it gives Hasbro a reason to sell new toys, and the car companies to show off their new designs.

The best we can hope for, no matter if the first movie sucks or not, is that the movies don't become like The Land Before Time franchise.

Haha, really? I think it'll just be about EVEN BIGGER EXPLOSIONS!

THere is already two versions of everyone although I they will only be in one form for the most of the movie IF they make a sequel they probably wont change them but dont be surprised if there is a some new designed Toy for merchandising the big thing will be the New characters they release.

Very true but ill still love the movie. Im just woried they wont put soundwave in there. Most defenate the will allow mass shifting in the sequal.

soundwave will be in there, and there wont be anymass shifting, they arent going to turn soundwave into a menacing tape deck, or ipod. he would transform into something htat can actually fight on the battlefield.

As long as the sequal would stick to the Story of the first movie, Feature characters like The Combiners, The Dinobots, NOT HOT ROD & Wheelie, and has good VA then we have nothing to worry about

FYI: He was a stealth fighter. And an F-117 would extremely nice flying next to a B2 and a F-22.

well I would definitely want remolds.

For every Xmen or Spiderman movie they don't release the exact same toys, do they? I don't really pay attention so I guess I don't know.

I think your answer lies there. I think the success of the film has to do with the success of the toyline. If the toys band (which they will) we will get a sequel. If no one likes the movie regardless of toy sales, I'm sure Bay won't be back again and someone else will get a chance to direct this, and new directors means completely new aesthetics and visual ideas.

So I would assueme an entirely new line of toys.
