The Semper Tyrannis - A Moment Of Peace

The noose around Fortress Maximus' neck tightens. Will the Decepticon 2nd fleet led by mighty Scorponok finally subjugate their old nemesis? And if they do, what will be the fate of the Autobot resistance?

Cryhavok wrote:”Bomb-Burst is a weapon of terror. An effective assassin. A predator with few peers. But his effectiviness as a leader is not on par of his other abilities,” the gargantuan warlord spoke up, ”You will take orders directly from Cyclonus until Scourge rendezvous with us and takes command of my assassins and hunters again.”

Though Bludgeon could not argue Scorponok's assessment of Bomb Burst, at all... He could not deny that allowing the assassin to be the liaison to deal with the high command would make things easier for him, after all, Bomb Burst would do whatever Bludgeon ordered him to do. The Vampire's short fuse and hair trigger temper might make things difficult to manage, though.

And though Bludgeon was not one to take well to being commanded by others (much more comfortable commanding others), he saw the advantage of being placed under Cyclonus. He doubted Cyclonus would use him to achieve politically motivated means. Bludgeon did not like playing politics.

"You do me a great honor placing me under Cyclonus' command, Lord Scorponok." He simply said.

Cryhavok wrote:”I am curious though. There’s a veil I’d have you to lift. The exact events leading to the loss of the Empyrion and your capture by the Autobots. One could say that from our perspective you just disappeared.”

The Emperion... Of all the things Scorponok wanted was to know how he managed to lose the Emperion and her crew taken prisoner.

"I can see how it would appear that I simply disappeared, Lord Scorponok." Bludgeon replied. "I would draw the same conclusion. However, the true account is we were tracking strange energy signals. They took us to a remote part of space, far from the rest of the fleet.

"At the origin point we found a small group of organics in residence, obliterated them, and detected a signature that resembled that of a Titan." He continued. " However, it was an Autobot trap. When we went to the surface, an Autobot ship rammed the Emperion and destroyed her, killing the crew who had remained aboard. We were outnumbered, fought bravely, however the odds were substantially against us. We could not prevail."

He paused just a brief moment before beginning again. "I did not have the chance to send a distress signal." He said. "I suspected the Autobots may be in the area and made the mistake of keeping radio silence and not ping out our location, hoping to keep us undetected. The loss of the Emperion weighs heavily on me, Sir." He was, in all honesty, weighted by the loss of his ship. Wishing he could do it all over again and not fall into the Autobots trap.

"As silly of the idea of a new name sounds, maybe just maybe, that is how we break free. It be interesting to see if we can create a new personality with our gestalt."

"It'll be interesting to see how much of a choice we have in the matter," Lightspeed added. "I don't know about the rest of you, but when we formed Logicor, I felt sucked in. Lost. When I was reading some of the prison logs of the Monstructor Six from a long time back, some of them described a similar sensation. Though what they described was much worse than anything I felt. I just have to wonder if some--or all--of this is the price we pay for meddling in this kind of technology."

"I do remember feeling like everything was being overridden. The question I have is that part of the process or more of the Cons taking control of us. It is possible to be a bit of both but the times we were joined it wasn't by our choice. What I am hoping is if we get to choose to join we won't be so lost in the gestalt but have more control. IF I understood things with the plans, the process is started with some sort of joined signal we send to the central unit i.e. Scattershot. This happens while we transform into our respective parts. It is logical to conclude the Cons or the mad scientist has figured out a way to send this signal from the outside to those affected to force the combination. If Monstructor is a quasi model to follow, the drive could also be very strong on the inside. Nothing against my fellow Technobots but I doubt I would want to stay combined for any major length of time. Sadly there is no good way to test out any theories while we are stuck in these cells under the watch of the Cons. The best thing to do is open up each other and see if there is some sort of device they installed in us which they use to control the process. If there is and we are able to shut it down, than we will gain control of this Logicor. I am willing for one of you to take a look at my inner workings to see if there is anything which would indicate a control mechanism as well as any of the additions they added for the combination process."

Nosecone looked around at his fellow Technobots and other Autobots. They had some of the best minds in this cell even if some are half cocked most of the time like their leader Scattershot.

Cuthroat hissed-laughed as Wildfly caught his distraction, dripping oil from his beak as Wildfly gripped it.

Wildfly wrote:“Frag off!”

So, the hunted wished to play hunter, Cuthroat thought as Wildfly’s beak came at him. Chuckling, Cutthroat pulled back as Wildfly’s beak hit his forehead at and angle and slid down, digging into Cutthroat’s faceplate and slicing it open. Pain shot through him and his processor glitched, but it only heightened his sense of enjoyment.

“Let me show you how it’s done,” Cutthroat said through the side of his beak as he lashed at Wildfly with his wings.

While preoccupied with Wildfly, Icepick struck him on the side, the force was enough to force Cutthroat to dig his talons into the decking to keep from being knock off his feet, but he was off balance.

“I haven’t had this much fun in ages,” Cutthroat hissed

~~~ :CON: ~~~
Slog shoved a struggling mech off of him as he pushed himself to his feet.
His internal systems blared in his processor and lit up his optics as they worked to reduce the engeron loss through his injured face. He’d been hurt before — injuries were a way of life in war — but something about this was different. It was… freeing.
Straightening to his full height, he took in the scene before him as Wildlfy and Icepick fought in his stead, diverting and giving the larger, far more brutal Terrorcon all he could handle for the moment. He had little doubt that his teammates would be overpowered any moment. As much as he wished that weren’t so, it was fact, and everything had to give way to facts at some point.
Even as incensed as he was, he recognized that. Still, that didn’t mean they had to stop. On the contrary, he’d initiated this as a means to silence the psychotic creature. He’d intended to be the one that got his accentuators dirty, but now, he was was glad they joined in. They were a team, no matter what Scorponok and the others tried to do.
And he wouldn’t allow a member of his team to face their battles alone.
Taking the first step that he hoped would result in a route, he crushed a poor Seeker’s hand that had appeared under his foot at the wrong time. The mech’s sudden outcry fell of deaf audio receptors as he charged the trio, swinging his arm back as he did. In another stride or two, he’d reach them.
Scorponok stood there silent for a while, listening to Bludgeon recalling the events leading to his downfall. There really wasn’t anything new about his story. It went pretty much as they had suspected. A Decepticon as skilled as Bludgeon did not just fall off the radar without facing overwhelming enemy action. Unless he’d have gone rogue. That option though, had been determined false through actions of Decepticon Secret Service a long time ago. However, assaulting Garrus-9 in order to free Bludgeon had been out of question. The risks had simply been far too great for the reward. Everything had changed when they had learned about Monstructor Six being locked in the very same Autobot penitentiary.
”I see,” the colossal warlord finally spoke up, ”Unfortunate. We lost many good Decepticons that day. But such is the nature of war.”
Scorponok turned his gaze back towards the stars. ”Is that all?”
Cryhavok wrote:”I see,” the colossal warlord finally spoke up, ”Unfortunate. We lost many good Decepticons that day. But such is the nature of war.”
Bludgeon nodded solemnly in agreement of Scorponok, leaving it at that, no further words needed to be spoken. Scorponok accepted his words as truth they were, and Bludgeon felt the matter was put to rest.
Cryhavok wrote:Scorponok turned his gaze back towards the stars. ”Is that all?”
"No." Bludgeon simply said, pausing for a moment, not for dramatic effect, it was merely his speaking style.
"Bomb Burst's armor disintegrated on LV-117." He finally continued. "From the acid rain. I would like to request special treatment be given to him for re-armorimg him. I know the last time he was armored it wasn't in the best of materials. I'd like for him to have better quality armor this time.
"Not heavier armor, of course." He quickly clarified just in case. "As much as he'd love more protection, he needs to be lightly armored for silent movement. But better quality of metal. I would not ask but for his exemplary performance on the planet and his propensity to muddle through with inferior equipment. I am not up to date on the latest armor for his type of profession, as well as I am sure in our times of struggle the staff might opt for a cheaper material in his case. Naturally, one would be inclined to reserve the best materials for those less... "
Bludgeon trailed off a moment, honestly lacking a complimentary word to describe Bomb Burst's profession. "For those who do not rely on evasion and shadows to protect themselves." He finally finished, phrasing it the least insulting way for both Bomb Burst and Nightbird's line of work. "As technologically advanced as we may have. I have had an interest in exploring what limits can be pushed for light armor. I'd very much wish to see what could be put on him."
His blow had landed. Though it surprised him a little, Icepick had been involved in enough prison yard brawls during his time of incarceration on Garrus-9 that he had become more than accustomed to getting his hands dirty.
“I haven’t had this much fun in ages,” Cutthroat said.
"Because you're glitchier than a pumphouse scraplet," Icepick said back.
Icepick saw that Cutthroat had dug his talons into the floor and Slog was charging back. So Cutthroat needed to stay right where he was. Icepick dove for the Terrorcon's feet, hoping to keep him planted there.
Venom's words had not fallen on faulty audio receptors. His talk about possibly having been on LV-117 and possibly having taken part in the battle was his usual bluster.
Though one could not be entirely sure...
What had been more curious was the comment regarding tampered fuel. Bombshell and Kickback exchanged uncomfortable glances with one another. Both of them had been known to employ such tactics and Venom knew it.
Still, there had been no need to employ them here.
Right?
"I didn't. Did you?" Bombshell hiss-whispered at Kickback.
"I didn't. Did you?" Kickback hiss-whispered right back.
Both of their sets of optics narrowed slightly.
Scorponok contemplated Bludgeon’s request for a passing moment. There was no doubt in his mind regarding the answer he was going to give. The request was sound and Scorponok would have gladly increased Bomb-Burst’s efficiency through a minor upgrade but as it was, it was a request he couldn’t comply with right now.
”Request denied for now,” the massive General stated, ”Perhaps you were not aware due to your rather lengthy time in imprisonment but we are too pressed for spare parts as it is. He will have to cope with standard issue replacement parts we have storaged onboard. At least we have some for his unique build left. Certain others aren’t as lucky. That is until we get our new resource refining plants across Nebulos ready to feed materials to our new manufacturing facilites in Tenebrous.”
Scorponok’s optical visor flashed ominously as he continued, ”And with those resources realized – victory over the Autobots will be imminent.”
It was time to move on. While Scorponok was going to let his men rest and feast, he was going to keep the fleet moving forwards. It was time to pay Nebulos a quick visit before making contact with Megatron. >>”Finback, Reflector – set coordinates for Nebulos and prepare the fleet to enter transwarp.”<<
Bludgeon's faceplate betrayed no emotion as Skorponok responded to his request, and to be completely fair, the giant warlord's reasons for denying it was absolutely reasonable.
Perhaps in the recesses of his processor Bludgeon knew that was going to be the response, no matter what, it was not a surprising response.
He nodded solemnly. "I understand Lord Skorponok." He spoke without disappointment in his voice. "My gratitude for keeping the option open further in the future."
Skorponok obviously needed to handle other things, so Bludgeon took the moment to step out and let the Commander be.
Unfortunately, though, he had some very noisy help of Crowbar bursting into the Observation Deck with Bomb Burst right on his heels.
---
Carnivac gleefully watched the Monstorcons go at Cutthroat, all the while taking in bets from the gathered Decepticons, all the while cheering the fight on.
His optics diverted to the door as Crowbar and Bomb Burst came in. "Party killer has arrived .."
---
Iguanus' optics went to the new arrivals as well. Then to Bludgeon. Then he was in motion, intercepting Crowbar before he made it to Nightbird and Bludgeon.
Grabbing Bomb Burst and swinging him around towards the rest of the group, he deftly guided the Vampire from potentially creating a scene into a scene already made. *Hey Vampy, settle down before you attract Skullgrin's attention."
>>”Finback, Reflector – set coordinates for Nebulos and prepare the fleet to enter transwarp.”<<
As one of Reflector's "thirds" quietly paced the corridors of the Tyrannis, Scorponok's transmission came through.
>>"So it will be done, my lord,"<< Reflector responded. As he rounded a corner near the medical bay, so too did the second of his thirds. Together, they would head for the bridge. He would leave his third component on the observation deck until the commander had departed.
>>"Finback, I'm en route to the bridge. I will notify the other vessels and have them prepared for transwarp."<<
The third of Reflector's components slowly pushed himself off the ground. All around him, his auditory sensors were being overwhelmed by shouting and crashing.
He did his best to crawl away from the noise.
Icepick wrote:"Because you're glitchier than a pumphouse scraplet."
Another may have had something witty to say, but with his beak being held shut, he answered with a hissing laugh as he readied to launch into the air.
Let these fools fight me in my element he thought as he started releasing his grip on the decking.
Just as he was about to launch, possibly taking Wildfly with him, Icepick launched himself at his feet, grappling him. The impact was odd for two reasons, one, it solidified Cutthroat’s balance instead of tipping him over, and two, it gave him an unexpected glint of joy.
“Hold on, tasty bites,” he hissed as best he could as he activated his engines. He loathed using them, but in this situation, it seemed fitting as both mechs wished to subdue him.
Power flowed through him as his engines ignited and lifted both Wildfly and Icepick off of the decking and into the air.
Wildfly’s talons dug into his beak, shredding the covering and exposing his endoskeleton beneath and sending pain flaring through Cutthroat. He’d had worse, but this was among the most annoying and sharp pains he’d experienced in a long time. Even having chunks taken out of him by the other Terrorcons weren’t as infuriating.
Icepick continued holding on, sliding down slightly as they rose into the air, but they didn’t get more than a couple meters before Slog leapt and struck Cutthroat in the center of his chassis.
~~~

Slog tried to move faster. He had plenty of power, but needed more speed than he was capable of as time seemed to slow down as her drove toward the Terrorcon stride by stride.

His anxiety at seeing Wildfly and Icepick engaging in what should be his fight was a blessing and a curse as his anger wavered as concern for their well-being took priority.

A vibration started in the center of his vocalizer and slowly grew until he heard himself screaming a battle cry he hadn’t uttered in… well, forever.

Part of his processor located on the possibility of it being due to their forced combining, but the idea was quickly pushed aside as he saw the telltale glow of an ignited engine beneath Cutthroat.

No, no, no, no, NO! He launched himself bodily at the Terrorcon and brought his fist forward so it connected first.

The impact was solid, and it felt like something in Cutthroat bent, but that was all the damage he was aware of as he collided with the mech and the four of them fell backwards, crashing into a control panel and a handful of Vehicons and Seekers that hadn’t moved away in time.

Electrical explosions from the panel flashed in his optics before he landed on top of Cutthroat and his teammates in a grinding, sparking crash.

Slog’s optics glitched from the impact, going back for half an astrosecond before coming back online. He tried to get his bearings as another mech fell on top of him and drove him back onto Cutthroat.

~~~ :CON: ~~~
Venom watched with interest as his words worked their magic on Bombshell and Kickback exchanged words. They weren’t loud enough for him to hear, but the shifting of their optics was all he needed. Few things were as much fun as planting simple suggestions in the processors of those guilty of such transgressions.
It did more than weaken their resolve to trust other ‘Cons, it also meant they would be too suspicious of one another to work together to cause him havoc.
Such a disappointment they were to their creators, but oh, such a welcomed sight to his optics. With them taken care of, Venom turned his attention to the others standing around the observation deck. Especially those near the brawl.
Most watched gleefully as the Monstercons and Terrorcon fought, while others moved away. Most weren’t wasting their time, and he found that intriguing. Most Decepticons loved getting close to a contest like this, but then given the type of mechs involved, he didn’t necessarily blame them. He wouldn’t be in the same room with them without an escape route. Several, as a matter of fact. And plenty of mechs to “trip” between them and him.
At seeing the crash and resulting implosion of the four mechs, he snickered. “Such carnage makes one hungry, doesn’t it, brothers? Imagine the quality of energon flowing to fuel such dangerous mechs.”
Seawing continued to enjoy the entertainment the Monstercons and Cutthroat was giving the crew. It made him want to get into himself but as crowded as it was throwing another bot into the mix would make things worse. The thought of shooting Cutthroat with one of his paralyzing rays but if Hun-grr found out it could make things worse for Seawing. It is also possible the Monstercons wants to win this on their own accord without any help from the Seacons.
"It will be interesting and totally embarrassing if Cutthroat was cut down by three Monstercons. I wonder how commander Hun-grr would take it that one of his so called Terrorcons got beat. The real question is who would win out of their combined forms. I sort of wish I could have seen the Terrorcon combiner so I could have called it Stupidicon."
Seawing knew better than make fun of the Terrorcons while their massive leader was in the room but it was too much to pass up on goading Cutthroat. The biggest problem with the Terrorcons was their gluttonous nature for energon and other parts of fellow Cybertronians. Sure the Seacons had bestial alt modes but the Terrorcons were almost pure beast once they transformed.
Thud. Screech. Thud. Screech. Thud. Screech. Drip. A nervous cough was followed by a nudge to Seawing’s side by Skalor who was doing his best to catch his teammate’s attention before it would be too late. Another cough to get Seawing’s attention. Another drop of cutting lubricant followed by surprisingly quiet thud of heavy footsteps accompanied by sounds of claws scraping against the metal plating of the floor.
Please stop. Please stop. Please stop. That was all Skalor could think of as he listened to Seawing go forth with his monologue while the rest of the Terrorcons finally entered the Observation Deck and instantly took interest in the fight between Cutthroat and the Monstercons.
Drip. Drop. Drip. Drop. Now drops of cutting lubricant were falling on Skalor from the above. For one of Hun-Gurrr’s terrifying maws was observing the fight directly above the Seacon and causing number of Decepticons to step back from the ring assembled around the troublemaker that was Cutthroat and the Monstercons he had wronged. Having had enough of being loomed over by the terrifying leader of the most savage group of Decepticons he could think of, Skalor too stepped aside.
Hopefully Seawing had taken the hint as well.
Cyclonus allowed his mind to wander temporarily as Scorponok dealt with Bludgeon's thoughts and request. His mind drifted to the Cybertron that would come to be once the war was won: clean, orderly, with a populace of natives that had chosen their own destinies rather than being predestined to carry out a particular function.
”And with those resources realized – victory over the Autobots will be imminent,” Scorponok finished, reminding Cyclonus of the next directive he was about to issue.
>>"Reflector, connect me to a fleetwide channel,"<< Cyclonus ordered.
>>"Done,"<< Reflector quickly commed back.
>>"All Decepticons will report for regular duty assignments once we have arrived at Nebulos,"<< Cyclonus transmitted. Apart from the revelries taking place here on the Tyrannis, there were likely similar gatherings taking place on the other ships while the fleet enjoyed a brief respite. But there was a war to win, and few were as ready as Cyclonus to see that day come to pass.
The Terrorcon Den
Rippersnapper flinched slightly as one of Hun-Grrr’s heads snarled at him in response to his question. The shark-beast remained silent as the two-headed razorbeast finished the energon brought to him, leaving only a few scraps behind for the others. The Terrorcon leader then trudged out of their den, likely heading for the Observation Deck where all of the other Deceptions were still partying.
The shark monster moved towards the energon scraps and gulped down what he could. “Hey, leave some for us!” Sinnertwin exclaimed as he and Blot came over for their share. Rippersnapper grunted under his breath. It wasn’t nearly enough for one of them let along all three. Of course, none of them would ever say that aloud for fear that it would eventually get back to Hun-Grrr’s audios.
Instead, the amphibious terrorist left the now empty energon containers behind and followed after his master. “Come on, guys, let’s go. There has to be more to eat over at the party,” Rippersnapper said as he and his two comrades left their den behind.
Observation Deck
Rippersnapper entered the deck not far behind Hun-Grrr. Of course, it didn’t take long to notice all of the commotion that none other than Cutthroat was at the very center of. Apparently, he had gotten into a fight with not one, not two, but three of the Monstercons. The display was comical to say the least and not surprising at all that Cutthroat had found himself in this much trouble. Oh, Cutthroat, will you ever learn? the former actor thought, shaking his shark-like head as he moved over next to the two-headed razorbeast. Ripper didn’t get too close, however, giving his master a wide birth.
The other Decepticons who had formed a ring around the fight began to step back and out of the Terrorcons’ way. As Rippersnapper had approached the scene, he overheard Seawing calling the Terrorcon combiner “Stupidicon”. Oh, boy. If the shark monster’s audio receptors had caught that comment then Hun-Grrr’s certainly did, as well.
Rippersnapper then glanced over at Sinnertwin, who had taken up a position to his left. He leaned in close to his comrade. “Well, this should all be very interesting. Heh,” the terrorist whispered before returning his attention back to the fight and Hun-Grrr’s eventual reaction.
Carnivac was staring in awe as Slog tackled Cutthroat. "That was fantastic!" He whispered hoarsely.
Even Bomb Burst had paused from his frenzy at the sounds of the crash.
The entrance of the rest of the Terrorcons didn't pass unnoticed by Carnivac, of course, or any of the Mayhems... Except possibly Bomb Burst.
---
Iguanus, however, was focused more on the Vampire than the fight. He used the momentary distraction to get through to him. "Calm down!" He hissed in Bomb Burst's audio receptors. "There's enough volatile mechs in here who will gladly rip you to shreds if you start up your vampire thing. Can't... won't, protect you from all of them."
--
Bomb Burst looked at Iguanus. The light was just low enough there for him to sort of see his teammate. A tense moment of staring passed. "You look tasty tonight."
---
Iguanus was about to start shouting and throwing Bomb Burst across the room when he realized... The Vampire had actually been... Joking. Seriously. Bomb Burst made a joke?
"Where did you find a sense of humor?"
---
Bomb Burst's optics drifted to Nightbird. "She can do all types of disarming." He said with a smirk and Iguanus gave him 'a look'. "Not like that, she's just... What's the word?"
---
"A friend." Iguanus said shaking his head at the Vampire's lack of understanding. Or drunkenness. It could be that too.
But there was a war to win, and few were as ready as Cyclonus to see that day come to pass.
Carnivac stopped egging on the fight for a moment when Cyclonus' message came over the comms.
"What's our regular duty assignment?" He asked, curious on what he should be doing. He'd been in Garrus 9, for a very long time, so now he was more of a displaced person than crew. It didn't bother him as much as he was curious, always thinking ahead.
Having been landed on by Cutthroat and then his teammates wasn’t the most pleasant experience, but Wildfly’s momentary grimace was quickly replaced by a short cackle. He had landed a good strike. Now that slagger’s beak was exposed and he was going to make sure that Slog and Icepick watched it get torn completely off.
Pushing himself off the ground, back into robot mode, he turned his side to Cutthroat, immediately expanding his wing to strike the slaggin’ Terrorcon in the face. An acrobat by nature, this wing slap was quickly followed by a quick leap, getting Wildfly into a somersault. He pushed his leg out downward and let gravity take care of the rest. A dropkick was what this guy deserved and he was oh so going to get it.
Tentakil was still holding onto his second cannister of engex, not exactly in the mood to get entirely wasted at the moment. Staying sober was important, and it was definitely going to be important after what Seawing had said.
Seawing wrote:"It will be interesting and totally embarrassing if Cutthroat was cut down by three Monstercons. I wonder how commander Hun-grr would take it that one of his so called Terrorcons got beat. The real question is who would win out of their combined forms. I sort of wish I could have seen the Terrorcon combiner so I could have called it Stupidicon."
The cephalocon found himself experiencing a mental oof after hearing Seawing’s little commentary had gotten even Skalor the resident miserable cod to look at what impending doom awaited him. Tentakil lowered his cannister and widened his optics at Seawing, trying to get him to stop with gestures.
Ah, frag it. Tentakil snuck two of his appendages like wriggling snakes across the floor to grab Seawing by the legs, and slowly started dragging him out of the way of the Terrorcon leader’s maw. He made sure that it was the legs - if Seawing started getting eaten, he didn’t want to be part of it. He’d get right away from that.
Venom wrote:“Such carnage makes one hungry, doesn’t it, brothers? Imagine the quality of energon flowing to fuel such dangerous mechs.”
”Heh,” Ransack replied, slightly amused. He crushed his now-empty cannister of engex, dropping it to the ground and resting it under his foot. Ransack was used to Venom’s antics. While Bombshell and Kickback chattered away, Ransack took interest in the Terrorcon commander arriving across the deck. Oh, someone was about to get their aft handed to them, and it was going to be nasty. Fun times, he smirked.
Seawing was enjoying the fight so much he didn't hear the other Terrorcons come up behind him. He saw a drop of what he thought was energon fall right in front of him which made him look up. The twin heads of the Terrorcon leader Hungrr hung over him. Seawing thought it was rather amusing he finally coming to get his lackey before Cutthroat got throttled by the Monstercons.
"I see you have graced us with your presence Commander Hungrr. As you can see your underling Cutthroat is having his fair share of fun. I'm guessing he didn't get it all of his system on the ground. I do wonder if you have thought of a name for your combined form. It surprised me to hear you all had such capability. I wasn't aware your team had the procedure done since you have yet to use it until now. Maybe one cycle to come there will be others who will be able to experience the combination process like your team and the Monstercons have."
A random thought crossed Seawing's processor on how Hungrr and another special team commander are similar in how they handled their teams. Motormaster is a glorified thug who beats his team for any reason at all while Hungrr has a little more restraint.
"I just remembered another special team who is similar to yours in how the leader handles disobedience. More I think about it, if I would place bets between you and the Stunticons, I would easily place it on your team to put them in stasis lock. You might even have fun putting the bully of the roads in his place because he be to stupid to walk away from a fight with you."
As Seawing continued to ramble, he heard the announcement from Cyclonus.
"Ah, it seems our relaxation time is done. I wonder why we are heading back to Nebolus though since we already taken it. Maybe Lord Scorponok wants to check in personally on how the new planet is doing under Con control."
Lightspeed wrote:"I don't know about the rest of you, but when we formed Logicor, I felt sucked in. Lost. When I was reading some of the prison logs of the Monstructor Six from a long time back, some of them described a similar sensation. Though what they described was much worse than anything I felt. I just have to wonder if some--or all--of this is the price we pay for meddling in this kind of technology."
Scattershot pondered for a moment about what Lightspeed had said, and it resonated with him. He was there at the core of this monstrosity they had been slapped together into. He knew exactly what his friend was talking about, and he clenched his one remaining fist, the tightening sound of metal subtly filling the room. Nosecone suggested a change in the name to their combined abomination. Scattershot didn’t care about how Logicor sounded or if it was a terrible name. He cared about the fragging connotations behind it, damn it, and his optics dimmed slightly as his cerebral processors began firing up.
Afterburner and Strafe were still exhausted and didn’t look like they were in the condition to speak, let alone move about. A long cycle of rest would do all of them good right about now, but Scattershot had some unfinished business on his mind. Forget Hun-Gurr. That slagging barbarian’s spark could wait for another vorn to be crushed. He had his personal beef with Jhiaxus, and though Scorponok had likely gotten his fair share by now, Scattershot wanted to get up close and personal.
The side of his clenched fist slammed the wall. Startled, Skyfall shifted back a little bit. “Fraggers. All of them. I’m not going to mess with this combination nonsense. Sure, it gives us a boost in raw power that we wouldn’t have otherwise, but forget all that. We’re competent enough on our own to make it-” he stopped himself, turning a quick optic back to make sure the idiotic seeker guards weren’t paying attention. They weren’t too interested in the conversation, luckily, but Scattershot hushed his voice anyway. “We need a plan for when this ship lands. Anyone have any bright ideas?”
Skyfall looked down at his mangled wing and then at his left hand. Continuing Scattershot’s hushed voice, he spoke lowly, “Do we have any scraps to make anything out of? Maybe not enough for a full-on weapon… but I do have some tools I always keep on hand.” With a subtle flick of the wrist, a panel in his shoulder opened, revealing a small welding tool. “Brainstorm, you could, you know…” The rest was left hanging in the air. Skyfall wanted out, but he wanted out first for the moment. He knew he was no infiltration agent, but just the thought of breaking out and sneaking past a legion of guards was enough to get his servos going.
Mindwipe had enjoyed the momentary respite offered by Lord Scorponok, but he'd had his fill of energon and Decepticons clawing at one another. It was time to move on to more productive ventures, such as sifting through the trove of goodies they had acquired from LV-117.
>>"All Decepticons will report for regular duty assignments once we have arrived at Nebulos,"<< Cyclonus transmitted, even though the mech was still in the same room as he. Clearly the Vice Commander shared a similar notion. The revelry wasn't over, but it was time to begin thinking once more of the future. Mindwipe would take to that just fine.
Of course there would be "counseling" sessions as part of his primary function, but his association with Cipher had unlocked some interesting doors in the area of acquisitions and archaeology. Moreover, Lord Scorponok did not seem to mind, so Mindwipe would be all the more keen to see what they could find.
Finishing the last of his drink, Mindwipe maneuvered around the squabbling Decepticons and the crowd they had drawn as deftly as he could manage and headed for one of the sets of doors.
Hun-Grrr could sparsely believe it. Snaptrap’s annoying sycophant with delusions of grandeur had went on a complete ramble mode on him despite of being very well aware of the Terrorcon’s reputation. He had killed for less. And even now the only thing stopping him from doing so was the presence of Scorponok on the deck.
”Orrr perrrhaps I will feast on rrroasted fish tonight.” One of Hun-Gurrr’s heads snarled as it moved mere inches away from Seawing’s face, smoke rising from his nostrils.
”Now get lost beforrre I give in to my crrravings.” The monster snarled and to put emphasis on his words – shoved Seawing towards the combat zone between Cutthroat and the Monstercons.
Scorponok set aside his now empty container of energon and turned just enough away from the observation window to see Cyclonus from the corner of his optics.
”Cyclonus. End that nonsense before rest of the Terrorcons get involved.” The massive Decepticon leader commanded coldly, having listened to the ruckus between Cutthroat and the Monstercons for long enough. ”I don’t need another unnecessary massacre at the doorstep of our final victory over the Autobots.”
