I'm not on Twitter, or any other social media, so I haven't been following all of the Star Wars insanity since TLJ other than a couple backlash reviews on Youtube. As of late, I've actually been pretty consumed by catching up, and my god has there been some appalling things happening. The things said against the fans by Disney/SW officials is really quite insulting, and even though I thought TLJ was horrible and Solo was ok, I was never on board with the hardcore haters. I even said I'd see Episode 9 just out of morbid curiosity.
But now... unless I see 1)KK fired, and 2)RJ fired and all his plans scrapped, I'm out. Not only have they done a tremendously bad job, they didn't even respond to the criticism like professionals or hell, even adults. When you add all of their actions up, it is just too insulting for me to support in any way.
So. I've heard of Origtrig theatrical cuts, in HD, made by fans, are out there somewhere. Anyone know where I can download them? I'm in some serious need for real Star Wars love at the moment.
ZeroWolf wrote:Fenir I didn't realise you were this passionate about sw. Also you keep stating your fear about the tf toys but I keep telling you not to worry, hasbro cut corners because they want as much profit as they can get (its what the shareholders demand) not because sw toys don't sell. They would be more likely to drop the licence before slashing back a franchise they own outright, hence don't-need-to-pay-anyone-else (once costs are taking out of the equation).

She produced the first film as well though. When it comes to producing, she's a legend, and behind some incredible films. Hence why most were happy with her announced as the head of Lucas Films. But she doesn't have a clear creative vision and thus relies on her directors which do not coordinate amongst themselves (because that should be her job). She is very good at getting stuff done but if the creative force she is backing is lacking, the end result will still suck.

Hasbro's assets 2018 around $4.72B! But thanks to KK, their $200M + investment( SW toys exclusivity etc) is in the red!The stocks simply not MOVING! Maybe even help speed up TRUs death!
$200M + is $200M + ! How will they recover? Will they pay or did they pay Disney in full?
Regardless, I really really pray their other lines (TF already has seen a lot of cost cutting not to mention Takara too is on a cost cutting binge to stay in the black) will NOT take a hit for this!

I wouldn't worry about Hasbor much. They still have the Marvel license and bought Saban, which means Power Rangers also bleong to them.

If I'm HB's Accountant, I'd be very concerned! PR hopefully brings in the bucks. Marvel? In the MCU, I already smell the the SJW infestation in the loudmouth actor playing Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers ( Her Ocean's 8 bombed btw). Same language KK used on them " ugly white 40 year man babies" who support the franchise.
Don't even mention the comics! Back in my day back in the mid/late 80s, Uncanny X-men sold 500,000 copies a month! Now? They'll be happy to even reach 30,000 (that was before digital color separators and all bells and whistles! John Byrne's Namor the Submariner clocked in 50,000 a month and was deep sixed because it was a "poor" selling title.
So all is NOT well with Marvel post thefinal act of Infinity War.

Marvel comics are a separate topic, but lets say if the comics arent selling, they will change their strategy and writers.
For they toys themselves,we have new characters and new costumes being made, but there is nothing really political about them. They are still toys about popular heros. The only thing I can think about is the lack of X-men toys, but that is more Disney than Hasbro, and things are turning around for that.Marvel Legends seens to increase the X-men characters by each wave.
I believe also that Star Wars toys are still profitable.
There is an Youtube video of Rose Tico toys that are still on store, but all the Darth Vaders,Storm/Clone Troopers are toys that stores seems to refill.
