Hasbro's assets 2018 around $4.72B! But thanks to KK, their $200M + investment( SW toys exclusivity etc) is in the red!The stocks simply not MOVING! Maybe even help speed up TRUs death! :(

$200M + is $200M + ! How will they recover? Will they pay or did they pay Disney in full?

Regardless, I really really pray their other lines (TF already has seen a lot of cost cutting not to mention Takara too is on a cost cutting binge to stay in the black) will NOT take a hit for this!

So... I don't really follow news (of literally any kind) about anything other than Transformers. And even then, it's just 3 sites (TFW, here, and Daimchoc). I'm not on Twitter, or any other social media, so I haven't been following all of the Star Wars insanity since TLJ other than a couple backlash reviews on Youtube. As of late, I've actually been pretty consumed by catching up, and my god has there been some appalling things happening. The things said against the fans by Disney/SW officials is really quite insulting, and even though I thought TLJ was horrible and Solo was ok, I was never on board with the hardcore haters. I even said I'd see Episode 9 just out of morbid curiosity.

But now... unless I see 1)KK fired, and 2)RJ fired and all his plans scrapped, I'm out. Not only have they done a tremendously bad job, they didn't even respond to the criticism like professionals or hell, even adults. When you add all of their actions up, it is just too insulting for me to support in any way.

So. I've heard of Origtrig theatrical cuts, in HD, made by fans, are out there somewhere. Anyone know where I can download them? I'm in some serious need for real Star Wars love at the moment.

It did not. It made 600 million which while being high was low enough for Paramount to lose some overseas partners.

Courtesy of KK's Soy/woke/sjw hordes who dissed( to put it more lightly) fans, especially male fans just because they had the gumption to speak out!

KK specifically emphasized that she DID NOT need the nerdy geeks who watch multiple time any SW movie or those who buy toys like us TF fans (one MISB and one loose types).

SW is escapism from reality hence a long time ago in a galaxy ............the aliens are already an allegory to diversity with the state of civil war the never ending battle against injustice. But noooooooooooo, KK and her SJW horde just had to force feed their nasty agendas into the scripts (admit it it people, you can smell it a mile away).

Not to mention the mainstream Hollyweirdo media shills who gave fans the 3rd degree for even to dare get out of their safe spaces! Calling them misogynists, racists, manbabies who cling to the past like Kylo Ren etc

The consequences is so far reaching that it might have a detrimental effect on my main hobby line that is Transformers thanks to Hb's exposure to the recent non George Lucas SWU (Rogue One is kind of OK but the rest are garbage, especially TFA as it help hoodwink and waste the good will of the original fans!). Courtesy of KK ! Why blame her? Well she specifically did an in your face I own it dissing of the fans......the original fans to be exact!

Fenir I didn't realise you were this passionate about sw. Also you keep stating your fear about the tf toys but I keep telling you not to worry, hasbro cut corners because they want as much profit as they can get (its what the shareholders demand) not because sw toys don't sell. They would be more likely to drop the licence before slashing back a franchise they own outright, hence don't-need-to-pay-anyone-else (once costs are taking out of the equation).

I know HB has always been on the cutting corners frenzy.Given how toxic SW is now, how are they gonna recover their $200m? With $200m in the red, any self respecting business is going to find ways to turn this into black. TF is their golden goose but if you ever run a business, they ARE gonna find means to tighten their in house belts. And hopefully once Bumble is over, the next reboot will have some semblance of storymaking continuity (first movie exempted) and drive TF further higher. At least Hasbro and Paramount didn't unleash their soyshills on the TF fandom. They more or less knew a turd from the offset like AoE and TLK ( DotM was Ok and the first movie was the best).

You don't write that off just like that. Either they'll get Disney to give them another decade or so to get the exclusivity franchise or sue the pants off Disney/Lucasfilm.

As for SW...................

She produced the first film as well though. When it comes to producing, she's a legend, and behind some incredible films. Hence why most were happy with her announced as the head of Lucas Films. But she doesn't have a clear creative vision and thus relies on her directors which do not coordinate amongst themselves (because that should be her job). She is very good at getting stuff done but if the creative force she is backing is lacking, the end result will still suck.

If I'm HB's Accountant, I'd be very concerned! PR hopefully brings in the bucks. Marvel? In the MCU, I already smell the the SJW infestation in the loudmouth actor playing Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers ( Her Ocean's 8 bombed btw). Same language KK used on them " ugly white 40 year man babies" who support the franchise.

Don't even mention the comics! Back in my day back in the mid/late 80s, Uncanny X-men sold 500,000 copies a month! Now? They'll be happy to even reach 30,000 (that was before digital color separators and all bells and whistles! John Byrne's Namor the Submariner clocked in 50,000 a month and was deep sixed because it was a "poor" selling title.

So all is NOT well with Marvel post thefinal act of Infinity War.

Marvel comics are a separate topic, but lets say if the comics arent selling, they will change their strategy and writers.
For they toys themselves,we have new characters and new costumes being made, but there is nothing really political about them. They are still toys about popular heros. The only thing I can think about is the lack of X-men toys, but that is more Disney than Hasbro, and things are turning around for that.Marvel Legends seens to increase the X-men characters by each wave.

I believe also that Star Wars toys are still profitable.
There is an Youtube video of Rose Tico toys that are still on store, but all the Darth Vaders,Storm/Clone Troopers are toys that stores seems to refill.

Respectfully beg to disagree.

What you believe about Star Wars toys is not true. They AREN'T moving! Why else is Bob Iger going to crisis mode? Not just the movies that tanked but the linked franchises.

https://www.ft.com/content/dd43feeb-3b4 ... a87d824b7f

https://www.forbes.com/sites/lukethomps ... this-year/

https://www.cosmicbooknews.com/star-war ... sales-tank

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/07/hasbro- ... -2017.html

Especially this one

http://fortune.com/2018/03/28/hasbro-star-wars-toys/

Pure BS are spin! (And before Soylo). So toys for TLJ were released "too early"? So what about Soylo, the movie which nobody watched? Thanks to the blow back from TLJ.

Comics? Sure some industry fundamentals have changed too. Videogames, streaming TV etc have taken a dent in the industry not to mention the profligate crass commercialization back in the late 90 by Marvel and DC ( bi weekly, pop up, blood tinged, multilenticular, die cut, multi limited copies of a single issue title) with nary a story in them.

But forced injecting SJW issues into escapism media? Not helping.

MCU. already the big mouth nobody who's gonna play Captain Marvel has started to alienate the core fans. At least the guy who played Captain America began blabbing on politics mid way into Winter Soldier. The former, well, her movie hasn't been released yet.

Back to the toys. Wait until the fiscal year 2018 ends, this will be a bloodbath.

I loved that battlefront 2 game, I spent ages getting all the awards on it for the different classes and I really enjoyed the space missions. Though I miss the first one for the fact you had levels where you could use air ships to attack the ground forces...it was very unbalanced...

I remember back in the 80s when I was dirt poor! The Kenner SW toys were like =P~ I wanted some all of them (Shuttle Tydarium was kickazz) but couldn't afford.

I count only three figs I owned ( Boba Fett, RotJ Luke Skywalker, Rebel Commando) and a weird VTOL type transporter from TESB. The rest I just made (vehicles that is) out of styrofoam. Now that I can AFFORD them, they are like naaaaaaaaaaah. TFA Millenium Falcon sucked big time. I wish I had the dough when (the BEST VERSION PotF of the Kenner mold)it was released back in 2008. :-(

Soylo Falcon?

Now backtracking a bit on the articles I posted, heck, Lucas didn't earn or just broke even with the 1st trilogy. He earned the mucho mucho in the TOYS! Frickin' A! The toys! And now under Disney, the House of Mouse can't even replicate such a feat! :BANG_HEAD:

Yeah that Battlefront II is great!I would play it more,if my Playstation 2 disc hadn't got damaged.
This game feels like a culmination of the films we had by that point.
The current EA Battlefront II is good. While the are many things that I prefer in the previous one,you can still have fun in it.It isn't filled with that much pay to win content as some internet reviews say.

Does anyone else have a Star Wars related thing that you hold near and dear to yourselves?

One my favorites stories is the Jango Fett's origin in the comics:

Image

This elevated him form me as one of the most cool characters.

Was that the expanded universe as a whole or as a concept? There was certainly a fair few stories that I was happy to see the back off

Even if given the Mafex or FigureArts treatment, this figure won't sell.

Slight deviation but related, but I read somewhere that SJWs have so frickoned many a franchise with the "de-objectification" of women that even the illustration of females in Magic the Gathering have been intentionally "uglified"

So the Rose Tico character, whoever conceptualized her deserves the award for the most useless irrelevant and ugly character since Jar Jar Binks!

Probably the closest thing I got was the 2006 Millennium Falcon Transformer. I loved that thing and I am so happy we are getting a new and better version.

Other than that, anything R2-D2. I seriously love that little guy

In the entire Star Wars universe, is the lightsaber the most powerful personal weapon?
