I just am not a big fan of the Clone Wars slender figures, so I'm crossing my fingers that this ends up on clearance one day. Then I'll snatch it, but not at reg'ler price.

I'm not a fan of the Clone Wars figures myself but was that a sales price? That is the cheapest I have heard these sets to be.They now run around $25

Honestly, I saw the three pack on the shelf which was labeled as $16.99, so I can't exactly say how much they are. That's just what my assumption was, but $25 is entirely too much for them. I know that figures are like $9 a piece currently, and so this is technically a discount, but it's too much for me to drop on the spindly body designs. I do hope it goes to clearance though.

With the prices now at around $10 per figure I pick and choose.Mostly from the origional trilogy they got to stop forcing tons of the new prequel stuff on us .A friend of mine seen two kids in a store looking at the star wars toys asking who Han Solo was

That is really, really sad to hear.

I blame the parents for that

Absolutely.

AWESOME NEW STARWARS FIGURES

Last weekend I bought a Darth Vader with a light-up lightsaber. Frickin awesome. The Walmart I was at had Qui Gon and Obiwan from Episode I. Has anyone else seen these figures and does anyone know if they are going to make original trilogy figures like this?

Size? Cost? Was the lightsaber removable? Articulation?

I've seen the Qui-Gon version of that here in Germany (at Galeria Kaufhof). His lightsaber cannot be removed, but will light up when you press his belt/crotch area. Alas, it doesn't stay lit up, so constantly keeping your finger on his crotch part isn't the best choice, IMO. Looks cool, though I won't be getting it.

Hello...hello....hello....(echo)

Hey, like an hour ago I bought a Darth Vader in this retro-ish packaging that is *allegedly* the original packaging design from the 70's SW figures. I know, who could possibly need another Vader? At first, it just looks like Vader with the dopey blue plastic Force lightning 'acessory,' but upon further review, he has a detattchable hand (like in ROTJ when his is cut off) and a mildly translucent helmet, with an actual head/skull underneath! You can even see a yellow eye! It's real cool, and if I ever come across another one I'll probably pick it up, as I'd like a sealed one to keep in the collection as well.
Other than that, I almost bought a Kmart excluse AT-ST a week back, but left it when it scanned at 35$! I have never ever played with one of those despite having wanted one since the 80s. I bought both of the Target Ultimate Battle PAcks a handful of years ago but never opened them, so I technically own two AT-STs, but they are at my mothers', and she's on the (legitemately) mentally ill side, so she forbids her children from going back to the house, so I can't get the packs. Makes me angry on a near daily basis.
Sorry for the rant, but I figured no one's even checking this thread anymore, so I felt I could shout into the wind.

Miss you, Star Wars peeps....

Now, I love the movies n all but dont pick up any figures or such like, but whilst at a local car boot sale (or yard/garage sale for our cousins over the pond) I found this little fella MISB/MOSC for only 50p!

I own an original old school AT-AT from way back in the day, so I thought he would make a fitting pilot/driver?

TRU's having a BOGO on Star Wars figures, and you can mix and match from the various lines. I got a shock trooper and a Clone leutenant in the vintage packaging.

One of Walmarts' black Friday deals was an eight pack of Clone Wars and other figures for $25, and I bought one. It was one of those things where it's eight more or less random figures but these were a lot of figs I'd never seen in the wild before. I got a pack that contained a Clone Wars Commando Boss from the Delta Squad, Commanders Wolfe and Rex (newer ones, not the original CW ones) the first wave Obi-Wan and Anakin, a target practice Super Battle Droid, Avalya Secura and a Phase II armor clone.

Does anyone know of a Seibertron equivalent for SW figures? I am not a collector, but my son has entered the Star Wars phase of life and is obsessed with lightsabers, droids, and the like. It would be handy to stay up on new releases, etc.

Thanks,
I.P.

P.S. I have googled up quite a bit, but would like a site with an "endorsement" so to speak....

Sorry to leave you hanging, but to answer your question unfortunately, I am not aware of any such sites. I know they exist, but personally I don't frequent any. I think it's rad that you're doing this research on behalf of your son though, that warms my heart. I'm totally doing that kind of thing when I have children.

No no, applause to you. You're doing a wonderful thing, and I hope it's going well.

Yesterday I found a Battle Pack of Clones from some kind of KAmino Assault or somehting, from the Clone Wars series I guess. I'd seen it before, and it contains an orange Bomb Disposal clone, a Clone in the training armor and some other, named clone. I'd seen it at Targets and such for like 20$ but got it yesterday at MArshall's for 13$. Yay! I really love collecting Clones, but the 10 buck price peer slender, frail soldier is none too appealing to me, so a buy like this is a real win.

I love the irony of collection repaints of the Clones. Good to know that some of this stuff is showing up 'discounted'. I agree that $10 can get a bit steep - especially for army building.

Just received something I bought on Ebay. A Micro Machines Star Wars Action Fleet X-wing with removable pilot and astromech. It's the pride of my collection, next to my 3.75 inch scale R5-D4.

I'm a Seeker fanatic when it comes to TFs, so repaints are totally fine with me. But yeah, as far as the clone troopers go, I've got tons of them but even I must say the 'repaints' of them are often silly. During the ROTS toyline, or the Saga Legends or whatnot, there were some cool ones, but nowadays they've just gotten silly. I'm not a fan of the slight body design anyway, so I generally stay away from the newer clones. But back in the Battle Pack days, when you could get a Mace Windu and four or five of the clones from his unit, oh yes. I bought me all of them.
Clones are/were also the only thing I've ever army built, BECAUSE I can convince myself that they're different from each other. Unlike Stormtroopers or what have you, which all look the same and usually aren't even paint differentiated.

Happy May the 4th everyone. To celebrate here's a review I did earlier in the week of the Class I SW/TF Darth Vader. It's good for what it is and makes a great desk toy.

Just got back from Star Wars Weekend at Disney. My son made out like a bandit. Made two R units, made a light saber, and got quite a few Disney-characters-as-Star-Wars-characters action figures (Micky/Luke, Goofy/Cad Bane, Pluto/R2, Hewey Dewey Lewey/Jawas, Stitch/Yoda).

That parade was awesome!

Ive been there before. its such an awesome experience if your a fan of the franchise. I got away with a dual light saber i got to build and some pretty awesome pictures with so realistic looking characters from the movies. Im curious to see if Disney will expand on it now that they own star wars
