Same with Rumble (duh, remold) and I assume the other guys that have similar alt modes (former tapes). Then Blaster (and probably Soundwave) have that, plus also you can plug USB cords in. Also a molded power port, but smaller than the cords of that type actually are (at least any I've seen.)

Laserbeak/Buzzsaw have it too.
Edit: I just checked, so does Ravage.

All TR tablet-formers do, actually. It's a nice callback to G1 Soundwave and Blaster, which had the same thing. In fact, the Microman version of Blaster was a working speaker for a micro-cassette sized radio (hence "Radi-Casse" from "Radio Cassette)!

Man, I feel dumb for this one. I've had Thrilling 30 Doubledealer for a couple of years now and usually keep him in jet mode. I know the backstory on the character and the orignal toy, but I didn't notice the Autobot symbol for the tank mode until just last week. Since I usually have him in robot or Jet mode, I never noticed it before since its on the robots butt. I always just assumed Hasbro only made him a Decepticon.

Because of the "Decepticon" prefix he has now? He's no Autobot, and never was: his G1 toy has his tech spec in Decepticon purple, probably to keep the two Powermaster sides even.

Doubledealer is a much a
as Lockdown. Meaning that he work only for himself and don't really care about... Identity Politics!

True, but Hasbro has to market them as something, right?

Maybe it's a corpyright thing like so many
have
in their name.
Also, Amazon Unicron was labelled a
on the box for reasons.

So I only just noticed Skytread's cockpit section has a nozzle on it, so his tenuous weapon mode actually has FIVE barrels. It still sucks as a weapon, or indeed as anything other than a teeny tiny artillery tractor, but still. Nice attention to detail.

Trademarks have nothing to do with it, it's simply to keep the number of main factions limited to two: a good one and an evil (i.e. not "good") one. Don't want to confuse anyone with "grey areas".

I think it is for trademarks when it comes to generic names. Ratchet is a tool and is either copyrighted by a tooling company or is a generic word and cannot be subject to copyright.

This is very embarrassing and I'm really angry at myself for it, but Armada Cyclonus, one of my two first Transformers, can detach his rotor blade for a melee weapon. I never realized this. I had assumed that it was meant to stay there and would break if it was removed. I still cannot believe this.

Yeah, on the inside is a 5mm hole you can use to attach to his Powerlinx ports.

ok, so I am at work and don't have any pics, but my son (11) was messing around yesterday and actually did something I find to be pretty creative and cool. He took TR Legends Lazerbeak stood him upright in bird mode and in the two areas near the bottom he inserted Titan Masters Crashbash and Overboard (inverted so the Dinoheads become feet) and made his own little combiner, I lol'd, but it was pretty cool he thought of it.

Technically I figured this out awhile ago, but still. On CW leader Ultra Magnus, Minimus Ambus has these three tabs on the underside of his car mode to make it look like he's floating. However, they can also be used to tab him into Magnus' trailer on the lower deck via these three slits.

It's great that you're encouraging his imagination.

If you're able to at some point, could you please post pictures? I'm trying to find a way to do it, but it looks rather weird to me.

As a child, I was so piss poor that I had almost no toys. So I used matchbox cars as makeshift Gobots. I drew a robot on the bottom of the car, stood it up, and openned the doors to make arms.

I did something similar with Micro Machines. I stood up a green tank, rotated the turret to the side, and pretended it was Armada Megatron.
