I haven't been back long, and the numbers seem to fluctuate greatly throughout the day with greater consistency on the Bot/Maxi side of things. This could be something to bring up, after the event ends, to see what others thing about balancing the sides.
The last thing I believe anyone wants is for active community members to leave.
I'm all for a merc subfaction that gets people switched as needed automatically(by mods). When I went back the bots though, they were heavily out numbered. I would spend most of the day in missions with lots of cons and no bots before the switch.
It's probably a matter of the times I run my characters -- I'm on EST. All I know is, there's consistently been more Autobot presence than Decepticons when I run, at least looking at the high-level characters. And every contest we've had lately, the Autobots crawl out of the woodwork, and half the 'Cons don't seem to show up. I dunno.
I think I just wind up feeling like my characters have to hold the line, because a lot of the time my back-up is low to mid-level characters, and when I see missions like I am now, where there's routinely 4-5 high-level Autobots and I'm one of two high-level Decepticons while the rest are in the level 3-7 range... not much that can be done then.
Based on data provided to me, 11 is a wash, 10 greatly favours cons, 9 is edge bots, 8 is a great edge bots, 7 is great edge cons, 6 is greater edge cons (2:1), 5 is edge cons, 4 is giant edge bots (2:1), and then it's edge bot for 3 and 1, and another huge edge for bots at 2. Bunbun, of course, has a better level break down. What I find weird is how the high level xp guys for the low levels have as much or more than the minimum xp for guys two levels higher.
My play time links up pretty well with the (L)East Coast, and again, when I switched back to Bot, there was really hardly ever anyone on in a mission. We'd have near full Cons, but maybe 1 bot at best. About mid day right now too, there's a better Con presence than Bot presence, or that is how it seems to me.
Maybe if we petition Burn to make Bun the Mercenary Mod to switch people between factions as needed, we can get a better balance though.
