That Animated Megatron is the best toy on that list and to say G1 Wideload is worse than the other Throttlebots is just downright ridiculous.
The movie lines are filled with garbage.
Nobody is wrong, it's all about opinions, nothing here is factual. And the list isn't just my opinion but a round up of the community's collective opinion. There is even a link to the thread discussing that Megatron figure for everyone to check for themselves.
This is supposed to be fun, a chance for us to all let loose and say what we loathe. I look forward to reading people's own listsFeel free to tell us which top 10 movie figures you dislike the most.
All of them except Leader class Optimus Prime (2007) and Human Alliance Bumblebee suck equally.
Terradive, ROTF Leader Prime, Bludgeon, Hubcap, Skystalker, DOTM Jolt, leader Brawl, Battle Blades Bumblebee, Skyhammer, Evasion Mode Optimus, Hound, ROTF Lockdown, Deluxe Ironhide, Human Alliance Barricade. I could go on.

There's always that guy who hates whatever's current because he expected it to be something it's not and feels disillusioned and let down. Since I don't know you and you list your specific gripes pretty clearly, I'll assume that's NOT you. I'm just saying.
I think there are a number of reasons to be frustrated by Combiner Wars, the barrage of retools and overall simplicity of the designs being probably the two largest for me.
But I'll say this about the line -- it's the first one in a LONG while that gives me real pleasure to just fiddle and "play" with the toys.
Do I love a good Masterpiece for complexity and display? Of course. And I regularly revisit some of my favorite Prime and CHUG toys.
But the Combiner Wars line is the first one in recent history that reminds me what it was like to be a kid -- and I'm talking 5-12 years old, here -- and just have fun.
The articulation is nice. The visual style is distinctive. And the whole combining concept is great. Always has been.
The designs are simple, sure, but that means they're accessible. I can transform a team from bot to alt to combined mode and back in ten minutes. That's less time than it takes me to transform some movie deluxe figures.
To me, the line is a terrific upgrade of the simple pleasure that was scramble city. And if that means I get saddled with a few too many iterations of the same mold, well, I'll live.
(And while I'm not excited by the potentially dropped ball that will be Victorion, I don't find anything about its release or that of the G2 homages to be exploitative. They're a playful wink and geared towards collectors. I appreciate the thought.)
Firstly, I will be the first to admit that I am that guy who was let down by Combiner Wars and it is true that its relative freshness is the reason for my quickly compiled list for most hated Transformers toys.
Secondly, I appreciate the non-personal attack towards my sentiments. I understand how some folks do take what are only indivual criticism personally, but I at least try to air my gripes with a reason (Well most of the time anyway). You counter with several valid points that echo my own appreciation for the line and also help me to realise other great reasons to reconsider its merit.
I never would have thought Defensor would end up being my favorite combiner and that we'd find such insane levels of articulation in any combiner. Incidentally, most of what I've seen so far with Titans War looks amazing and I can't wait to get my hands on those bots!

Have you actually played with the figures?
Because there are many great molds from the first movie yes there are some bad ones but the line was decent plus you have the wrong toys to compare anyways ROTF's toyline was the best of all the movies lines it had some really great figures that are just as good if not better then a lot of the current Generations toys.
Don't let your blind hate for Bay make you think everything is awful.
So if you're an adult, how does collecting toys make it any less childish than playing with them?Darthshadow wrote:I'm an adult I don't play with toys, I collect them.

10) CW Motormaster/Optimus Prime- horrible torso mode, arm kibble ruins the robot mode, but alt mode is okay. Seriously, for a line solely focused on combining, Hastak failed spectacularly in designing the torso mode for this mold.
9) G1 Blaster. Love the character, hate the brick toy.
8] Beast Wars Transmetal Megatron. I actually love this toy. So much, that I've bought 4 of them. Each one has the plastic break at the waste. QC issues land this bitch ass on the list.
7) Energon Optimus Prime. Combined mode isn't the worst, but regular bot mode? Well, there is a reason we call it fatimus Prime.
6) prime Cliffjumper. The 1st and only Prime toy I bough. QC was bad enough to scare me off of the rest of the line.
5) 1st movie Bonecrusher. Whoever decided to make this toy a deluxe needs to never design again.
4) Energon Hot Shot. Same reasons as you.
3) Beast Machines deluxe Optimus Primal. WTF is this suposed to be? Did anyone ever figure it out?
2) 1st movie voyager Starscream. A vaguely official looking F22 with something that is supposed to be a robot slightly folded underneath.
1) Armada Scavenger. How is it even a Transformer? Seriously, **** this toy.

Agreed. I might hate the movies for upsetting my G1 sensibilities, but a lot of brilliant engineering has come out of the movie line because the movie transformations are so absurd they've had to be clever with how they replicate both modes in toy form.![]()

First of all, stop being stupid. I never said anything about them "not looking G1" Did I say that? Seriously if you think I did, get your eyes checked.

It is not the opinion that offends in this case - more the language and attitude displayed when conveying it.

Maybe you should get your eyes checked, I clearly put in an alternative argument to umbrella any other arguments you haven't bothered to offer up

I'm down with that list. Save maybe bonecrusher; in disbelief you bumped armada sideswipe off the listThat thing is straight up garbage

Have you looked into getting Armada Predacon? It has a better overall paint scheme (the insides of his thigh fans) and he doesn't even sacrifice anything for the minicon gimmick. Also, maybe try hunting down movie leader starscream, he's a dream come true, like origami made with plastic

Agreed, Armada Sideswipe is garbage, and I hate him, I just have bigger problems with these others. Plus, my 3 year old son loves to play with it, so that has given me new appreciation for it.
Darthshadow, adults play with toys all the damn time. Those toys might be boats or motorbikes or cars or tools or a garden and not actual toys, but trust me, they still **** play with them. If you don't, congrats on being lame. Perhaps someday you'll find something better to do with your time then troll message boards.
