His name has nothing to do with the colour. It's about the way he talks. It's a better name than Chatty which is what his name in French, Jaseur, translates to.

There's also a Martin Lawrenve film called Bluestreak and it's a play on the way he talks and the fact that he has to deal with lots of cops in the film.
