Yes, that's why I put both on this list, and both in favor of the classics toy. It's a good toy but it's dated and it feels a tad obsolete, as most classics toys feel. I did keep the threadbolt redeco though, I like having that mold in my collection, it's just not top 5 in my book.

I dunno, I think Jetfire is one of the least obsolete Classics molds. His hybrid design looks cool and transforms well, and he has great play features. And his helmet beats the pants off the face masks of the T30 and SIEGE toys - his has movable antenna lasers that work as cannons in vehicle mode, just like how the original toy's head worked as a turret. ...Come to think of it, he probably does the Gerwalk mode better than the other two as well.

I agree with all this except for the helmet being better. I think it's just a different take, not necessarily better or worse. I really love how T30 deals with the face mask, it's what makes him such a cool toy to me. I do like the moving antennas though and I think our opinions on the classic mold aren't all that different. It's more how much we like other toys in comparison.

Well, see, the moving antennas lasers are what make the Classics version's helmet better to me. It's admittedly my least favorite appearance-wise, but adding that play feature gives it the edge despite that.

yeah i agree with the top two the others im not sure how i would rate them because to me jetfire is either the G1 toy or the G1 animation model of skyfire
but until they make a MP jetfire/skyfre those two are the winners

Given that the mps tend towards animation accuracy, an mp skyfire would be the only option there, but given they try for a scale... How big would the mp have to be?

Not quite that big.

Well, based on what we already got from 3P, a MP Jetfire would be of that size. However, I expect him to cost at least over 9000$. It's Takara we are talking about.

Jet/Skyfire is one of those Iconic Characters that was never really given a chance to actually be Iconic. Great toys over the years though..... Anyhoo, as for my list:



5)Studio Series Movie Jetfire. Hey, us cranky old codgers have to stick together.


4)G1 Jetfire, or Robotech/Macross Veritech/Valkyrie VF-1S What can you say? This figure is legendary, and always will be. Also, Harmony Gold can **** die in a trash fire.


3)T30 Jetfire. While I don't think its worth the leader price point, I got mine for only $20 so I loved it. In fact, the only thing that ever really ruined this figure for me, was the choice to use it for seeker repaint/molds, thus taking away the uniqueness that I feel Jetfire should have.


2)Fans Toys Phoenix. This figure is amazing, flat out. Its big as hell, its heavy (has actual die cast, kids!) and extremely show accurate. Only things holding it back from first place is the fact that its super expensive, and a display piece. Not for play.


1)Siege Jetfire. He gest #1 billing for simply being the best on screen representation of this character we have ever gotten. While I'm not happy I paid $80 for it, that is only because he sat on my Walmart shelves for a month at $40 dollars. I should have waited, but I don't regret the purchase. This is a great figure, and really feels like a slightly simplified version of the #2 entrant. This figure really is almost MP worthy in its screen accuracy. Also, its fun as hell.

I'll give the Titanium one credit. It was one of the best of that line, low as that bar is to clear.

Finally making my way to this list, which is a good one, and i agree with several entries to it, but here is my list:

5) Animated Jetfire - i like him for reinventing the jetfire name, for introducing some actual fire to the mix to go with the name, and also for the combining gimmick, which is still utterly unique to my collection and to Transformers in general. He is a great little figure, and a great reinvention.

4) SS Jetfire - Oh man what a great looking old man. This is such a spot on robot, it's great! Transformation is a bit rough in a few spots for me, but i like the alt mode, and the combining gimmick is great too, such an improvement on the original. He is good

3) Siege Skyfire - this is one of those technically very good figures, and he is big and chunky and has a lot of cool gimmicks. He is the Skyfire of my collection, and will probably remain as such. I like him, but the robot mode and jet modes just aren't to my style tastes

2) Armada Jetfire - I adore this chonk-monster. That space shuttle mode! that head sculpt! Those massive boots! This is such an awesome Jetfire, with a good robot, shuttle, and pants mode! This right here is a wonderful reinvention, and one where there really isn't a single weak point on the figure.

1) Thrilling 30 Jetfire - This was, and will remain for a long time, my favorite Jetfire. I loved the design from the start, and i still love it today. This is the king of the Jetfire robot modes, without a single question. The head, the wings, the sharp whites and reds, it is fantastic! The jet mode is sleek and sexy, and I enjoy the Transformation, and all of the cool accessories. This is the king of the jetfires
