Which is strange because most final bosses in Final Fantasy come with immunity to most if not all status effects.
That said, someone told me Kefka is FF6 was supposed to be a pushover. Now, maybe it was because I didn't have the exact right setup, maybe it was because I was too spent from the preceding battles. But he was not a damned pushover. I had to grind for hours to get the right setup (In addition to the hours I had already grinded) and he still wasn't easy.
