Who do you all think is the best voice actor for Prime and Megs?
This is what i think
Prime: Peter Cullen
Megs: it's a tie between Frank Welker and David Caye

I grew up watching BW, so I always am reminded of Gary Chalk's voice when I see the Big Guy...
And David Kaye wins this for me...Yessssssssssssss

Peter stole my heart the first time I watched Transformers. 
I am nearly 40 and I still melt when I hear him voice Optimus Prime. So I guess for me, there are no substitutes.

Oh, yeah, Cullen's the legend, man. However, I'd have to say Kaye brought so much more character to Megs than Welker. I'm not bashin G1 Megs, but BW Megs was a little more of a badass. I mean, look what he did to Cybertron in BM. That's about 10 times more than G1 Megs ever did.

Hmmm...I liked Welker's voice better. I think BW/BM megs was a lot more calculating/intelligent. Rather than being guided by blind rage all the time.
But this is really about the voice isn't it, my vote is for Welker. I also think he's a more diverse voice actor. I haven't heard Kaye do much more than "megatrons" voice...It appears in many cartoons. Welker has the ability to be more diverse I believe.

10? Try a million. BW Megs took out Cybertron BY HIMSELF, then eradicated most of the Transformers still there.
I like Cullen as Prime. Don't get me wrong, I'm more of a BW guy then I am G1. But Cullen did Prime just right.
And Welker as Megs, that was good too. It really depends on which Megatron it is. Sometimes David Kaye is better, sometimes Frank. Other times Daniel Riordan (From RiD) is good.

While I like both Cullen and Chalk, I think that Neil Kaplan did a great prime.
Though David is megatron all the way. I wonder how he'll voice prime in Heros?

Cullen and Welker. Their best performances and best scripts were MTMTE 1-3.
Though Chalk and Kaye had the benefit of better written scripts.
Prefer Kaplan's Prime to Chalk's. Grew to like RID Megatron's voice.

Peter Cullen is the best at Optimus Prime, hands down.
I personally prefer David Kaye's Megatron over Frank Welker's 'cause he has that deeper, more commanding voice, which I think is how Megs is supposed to sound.

I grew up on Beast Wars and I like Gary Chalk, but Peter Cullen is still Optimus Prime to me. Gary will always be Primal.
Megatron on the other hand is up in the air. Welker is good and makes for a strong Megs, but if I had to pick, I'd pick Kaye. His Megatron voice, especially in Beast Wars, is just so commanding, charismatic and still really evil.
