In fact, I think I can confidently say that this is the best looking Movie design out of all of them.D-Maximal_Primal wrote:Autobot N wrote:I know people are mad that Blitzwing isn't Starscream, but he is seriously one of the coolest looking Transformers in all of the movies.

Also, the easiest way to solve the Blitzwing issue:
Step 1: Change color to blue
Step 2: Change name to Thundercracker
Step 3: No one complains
Step 4: Profit

Yes. Now go to your room and don't play with yourself.

i agree the cybertrons bits look a bit ropey but i put that down to CG still being in development. its not unusual in trailers so i expect a bit of a clean up to give it more layers.
but all in all this is what ive been wanting since the beginning. i cant express how GOOD it is to just be able to recognise on sight who a character is meant to be.
even on an easter egg level, im pretty sure i saw starscream and skywarp with shockwave for instance.
His particular shade of green combined with white reminds me of DOTM Air Raid (whose Japanese name was "Seeker Air Raid", as though he had defected from the Decepticons to the Autobots).Nemesis Primal wrote:Decepticon Stryker wrote:Anyone else notice the green conehead in the scene with Shockwave and Starscream?
Upon rewatching that bit a few times, I don't think that Acid Storm that currently unnamed green Seeker is a conehead, he looks like he just has some tetrajet kibble behind his head. It doesn't turn/move with the rest of his head. I can totally see why you thought it was attached though.

First, GOOD
Everything Earth related. Bee looks great, Shatter and Dropkick with that first ever movie-verse on screen triple change from one alt to another to robot was awesome. Those 2 and Blitzwing look great and have me super stoked. I got goosebumps during some of their scenes.
I am super excited for the movie overall!!!
and now, BAD
Everything on Cybertron.
The aesthetic is not bad, it isn't. But it certainly has no business being "live action." That is the WFC/FOC video game with some Don Figueroa IDW ongoing in it, and it is not that good. It could be far better if it were not live action related.
And honestly, the look compared to the rest of the film really makes it stand out in a very bad way. It looks like something else entirely, like they actually used 5 minutes of someone's FOC gameplay as the first 5 minutes of Transformers Prime. It does not look good in live action, and it is very out of place.
Lastly, if this is what "G1" fans have really wanted in live action, then I am super glad this is not how we started, and I'm super glad this will be brief. It's bad. That is not live action. That is good video game stuff knocked off with extra pointy bits and indentations.
Get. Out.
william-james88 wrote:But none of the robots in these films are live action either, they are all CGI. The fight between Bee and Optimus in TLK is all CGI until cade yeager shows up. So this is the same thing but devoid of any BS.
Yeah, I see it too. But I doubt it's DOTM Air Raid, it's probably just a generic.Sabrblade wrote:His particular shade of green combined with white reminds me of DOTM Air Raid (whose Japanese name was "Seeker Air Raid", as though he had defected from the Decepticons to the Autobots).Nemesis Primal wrote:Decepticon Stryker wrote:Anyone else notice the green conehead in the scene with Shockwave and Starscream?

Right yeah. The colors also remind me of a bunch of other characters, as that shade of green with white is pretty common.Decepticon Stryker wrote:Yeah, I see it too. I hope I'm wrong.
excalibur1814 wrote:Yeah, I'll admit it, G1 ALL the way for me.
This movie can then spawn two line of toys, possibly, including present day and the Cybertron range. Either way the closer they get to G1 the closer they get to selling more toys to the older guys as well as the kids. Cha-ching. $$$$
