Kinda makes you wonder what the hell they were thinking when they settled on that price, especially when you consider the fact that there are $6 Titan Masters with more paint on them than that Ratchet figure. $150 for an unpainted Deluxe is a blatant ripoff.

That's the point of those figures of "custom class". They come unpainted and even unassembled so you can paint them yourself.

Because when you pay between 75$ to 200$ for a figure, you really want to sloppily and amateurishly paint it, right?

They were wondering how much would it be for people to buy it off them instead of e-bay. They are banking on fans believing that the ratchet head this comes with is seen as more prestigious and official than someone simply 3-d printing their own ratchet head and putting it on first aid.

They are trying to clear out their stock but are unwilling to actually discount it. Seriously, just get it over with, but all these unpainted guys up for like maybe $50 each and just dump the back log.

Wow, looks like the few sales items they had are back to full price. They really need to liquidate everything, otherwise getting rid of their back stock even more slow and painful; The club's obtuseness knows no bounds

The sale ended last Friday.

I'm just gonna wait for their next sale, which will give me more time to save up till then.

Don't get me wrong, I totally get the idea behind the custom class. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it doesn't make a lot of sense to me that they would charge that much for a toy that you have to do all of the work yourself. Especially when there are smaller TFs out there with more paint on them at a fraction of the price the club wants. Sorry, I should have clarified what I was trying to get at. I just don't get why they would charge that much for a toy that the customer has to put all of the effort into applying paint and stickers.

Oh, we totally got that. And the fact that those ultra expensive toys are "custom class" make things even worse.

The prices for the custom class figures (both preassembled and unassembled) are based on the prices that they go for on the secondary market. Fun Pub saw how much value the custom class figures have/had on places like eBay and such and matched their own prices for them accordingly to get their own money's worth. They figure that, if people are willing to shell out the insane amounts of money that the custom class figures go for/have gone for on eBay over the years, then a similar effect would apply for the leftover custom class figures sold directly through the Club Store. And in many cases, the high prices of the Club Store are still better deals than those found on the secondary market, even if the price differences aren't nearly as great as we'd like them to be.

Hello former Transformers' Collector's Club Members;

Today we will begin the final Clearance Sale for all items left in the TCC store. Anyone can order these items.

This is basically going to work like a "Going Out of Business" sale you see in brick and mortar stores.

Today marks the beginning of the final Clearance Sale and everything in the store is 10% off. Approximately every week, the discount will increase 10% until we get to 90% off before the end of the year. Some items only have a quantity of 2 or 3 and are very limited. Some items have a quantity of several hundred. It's up to you to decide the price you want to pay.

All Sales are Final and there are no returns or adjustments for this Clearance Sale. If you wait too long for the price to drop, the items may be gone. If you buy too early, you may not get the lowest price. We will not be making any price adjustments and please do not email or call us with an offer for these pieces. We have gone through everything in the warehouse and we believe that what is online is the last of everything. However, we might stumble on to a few more items once all of the pieces are removed from their bins.

We will not make any price adjustments for past purchases if you find that an item is being offered at a lower price during this Clearance Sale.

Again, there are no returns or exchanges and ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

Thank you for your support over the years!

Brian

I just checked out the prices after having read the email. I noticed that if I were to ask for a price adjustment for the figures I bought a few months ago, I'd owe them about $200.

There's only a few figures left that I want. I'll wait for them to drop in price and if I don't get them, I don't get them. I'm not going to pay the crazy prices these are listed at now just because they supposedly only have two or three left. As it stands, I can get most of them cheaper elsewhere.

Me, too. Waiting for the prices to drop on everything. If they're bought before the price becomes worthwhile to me, then oh, well.

Like others on here I may wait until the prices drop more before I buy anything in the sale. However, I'm not really sure if I actually need anything on the site. Sure I would like to have the BotCon Cybertron's Most Wanted set...or at least just Megatron and Oilmaster. And I wouldn't mind owning Predacus and that Voyager Toxitron, but I can't decide if there's really a place for any of that stuff in my collection, or if it would be a waste of money even if they're still available nine weeks from now and I do get them for a 90% discount.

I plan to make one myself in the future, but with Medix replaced by a TCC stickered up version of TFSS Bluestreak.

I mean, the Games of Deception set. Once I would've snapped that up. Now? I own Thundercracker, Thrust, and Dirge from it. Got them a lot cheaper, too. ;)

I wish I could remember what some of the other prices were for certain, but it almost looks like the raised most of them to various degrees.

There's only a few figures left that I want. I'll wait for them to drop in price and if I don't get them, I don't get them. I'm not going to pay the crazy prices these are listed at now just because they supposedly only have two or three left. As it stands, I can get most of them cheaper elsewhere.

I noticed that the GI Joe/Transformers Crossover figures base price seems to have jumped up a bit prior to the sale.

Same, here! What the hell, Club?

I wish I could remember what some of the other prices were for certain, but it almost looks like the raised most of them to various degrees.
It almost seems like the "10%" off is actually back to the original price.

The two Only Human figures definitely had their prices raised.
Not caring about scale since 1984. Just like Hasbro.
