The head on Breakdown looks like crap, as if he's just looked into the Ark of The Covenant.

Slipstream is pretty much exactly what I'd have wanted and Scourge is the same. Both are perfect. But no way I'm going to sign up for a subscription service for a couple of decent figures.

He is perfect for an Ultra Magnus homage though. I think an all white mammoth with the blue coming out in robot more might make more sense, but still, I freaking love the idea.

The only one's here I'm not really into is Breakdown (I hate the mold) and Circuit (Too Obscure for me to care). I'd still keep Breakdown, and possibly pawn Circuit off on a friend, or just keep it for it's fruity pebbles color scheme :P

Okay... Idon't actually understand how this works... If I'm already a club member, do I have to sign up for anything else? I jusst... Am really confused.

I'm super excited about Breakdown; the G2 looked disappointing, so I'm glad to get it in G1 colours. I still hate the cubed head, though. I hate how Circuit looks, but he fits in with my collection requirements. I WANT Slipstream and Ultra Mammoth but I don't NEED them.

Anyways, yeah. How does this work, then?!

I really don't think the Club will be able to pull this off. I really don't like how to get the nicer figures like Scourge, for sure, you have get saddled with crap like Ultra Mammoth (something they couldn't get rid of on clearance were this normal).

I'm gonna have to stick up for tfcc sideburn mine is just fine I have every paint of that mold and they all feel the same but u never know maybe u got a crappy release

Agred. As someone who has both a Side Burn and a KO Rodimus, you can certainly tell the difference in plastic quality and construction.

To a degree I was exaggerating, I'm sure you're right that whatever KO this is is of lower quality. Though I remember reading others who had similar problems with Sideburn, and it seems many did not get the correct guns with SG Drift, to state a more recent example.

KO's are crappy no doubt, but these are things we can't be too quick to forget. I do not believe the TFC has the most appropriate track record.

Have you been reading this thread? UM is proving to be one of the most popular figures of this batch

I don't know about that... But I will say this: it's easier to be positive on something when there's no price tag attached.

This is a big figure and it will no doubt run up the price of the subscription more than another deluxe or even a voyager would. I figure it will be even more costly when it goes up for individual sale. A lot of folks probably aren't thinking of this.

Even then, what if you don't like BW toys? They're trying to throw in something for everyone, but the problem with that is that everyone will likely get one or more figures they have no interest in. These should be organized more like the Botcon sets, where there's a theme, and someone interested in one of the figures is likely to at least accept the rest.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big BWN fan. I just know a lot of folks who might be interested in this subscription aren't, and this figure also just feels like a repaint made for the sake of being a repaint.

And on an unrelated note: I can't believe they did that Jazz repaint for an Animated figure over a BB-repaint Waspinator. Big missed opportunity on that one.

You do realize that the subscriptions last 3-4 weeks, right? If you want, you can just subscribe for the figures that you want and not worry about the rest.

Typing on tablet makes long quoting darned tricky

@Nekoman - you're right about Drif, that was a hefty problem. though i don't see them mixing accessories hete, so I hope it won't be a problem

@Gearslide - incorrect. the 3-4 week period is the time to register for the full subscription, not the figures themselves. once subscribed, you get all 6 figs whether you like them or not. Also we do not know which order they'll be arriving in until the first petson who gets it tells us, thus we have no advance warning which one is coming.

Wait. Seriously? :( But...he's a blue mammoth! White, I could see, but blue? :( (Okay, blue and white, but still.)

And would it have killed them to make him look like G1 Ultra Magnus in robot mode? Blue head, silver antenna, no face plate, colors in the correct order, etc...

I really don't know why I'm complaining. I'm not even gonna buy the danged thing!

I personally also like Ultra Mammoth. It made me want to get the universe Nemesis Prime (but then I looked on eBay and that this is going at like $100-$150).

Some of those picture look very photoshoped and test-shotty. So he might very well look better down the line.

One...hu..hu...hundred? :( Why did I sell mine years ago? >_< :HEADHURTS:

Wait the nemesis prime is going for a hundred on ebay. I'm happy i got mine of some guy on crave sealed for $40 shipped.

Back on topic.

I personally like them all but if they make it so you can get them singly I will get Ultra Mammoth, and Scourge.

Any price rumors on what the whole shabang will cost?

No price rumours yet. They got their data sheets only a couple days before the 'con

And their are plans to release each figure seperately in limited numbers at a higher cost of coursr

I really want two of these, kind of want two, and have no interest in the final two.
Not sure what I'm going to do. Guess I'll wait and see what the price is before I decide.

No doubt UM will be a lot pricier, I know that a leader won't be cheap. I would be willing to assume that each figure would be cheaper than previous equivalent TFCC figures, partly because I doubt they'll bother to make a new fancy box for each one (unless they make one big Botcon-style box for all six) and partly because, from a business perspective subscriptions are a less financially risky proposition than individual sales.

I am as keen to see the prices as anyone, and I will be making a final decision only after I do see those prices.

Even then, what if you don't like BW toys? They're trying to throw in something for everyone, but the problem with that is that everyone will likely get one or more figures they have no interest in. I'm gonna play devil's advocate here. This would be a tricky situation either way. I know a lot of people got upset at Botcon 2011's set for being Animated. And no doubt a Prime set would be the same way. Or an SG set. While having a set that was all one theme would please some it would ostracize others. And after all, I've never known a Botcon set where everyone loved every figure in the set, there are always stars and duds.

I don't like all of these figures, but I would prefer a mix of things. I really do prefer the idea of having figures from different continuities. If I were feeling cynical I would say that TFCC are strongarming people by having figures from different ranges, and maybe that's the case, but who's holding the gun to the fans' heads? Besides, if you really can buy the figures individually what's the problem? Or you can team up with someone who wants the figures you don't and vice versa, or you can buy them from ebay when someone who did get a subscription dumps what they don't want.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big BWN fan. I just know a lot of folks who might be interested in this subscription aren't, and this figure also just feels like a repaint made for the sake of being a repaint.

I agree that it's a really random and arguably unnecessary repaint. But as far as I'm concerned it's a great mold in a hilarious and fantastic colour scheme. As far as I'm concerned it's the highlight of the set. And there are figures I like less that others will like more. Fine by me, they can buy them when I sell them.

And on an unrelated note: I can't believe they did that Jazz repaint for an Animated figure over a BB-repaint Waspinator. Big missed opportunity on that one.
Yeah, that's a strange choice. But then the same people who are whining about Scourge being an exclusive would whine about that too. :P Tough for TFCC, make the figures bad, no-one'll buy them, make them good and people will complain about the price and availability.

Lots of discussion about the figures and subscription. Is anyone curious as to how they are gonna screw this up?

I want them to succeed here, but given their track record, the idea of them doing a subscription scares me.

I am sure I am going to repeat things that people already said here, but here we go:

1. I only want one of these figures. I don't want to spend money on figures I don't want.

2. It seems like LOTS of people are very fond of 2 of the molds. The club said they are going to have limited quantity of single figures to purchase individually. I would hate to miss out on a figure that fits my collection because I didn't want to have to spend extra money on figures I didn't want to begin with. Are we just going to have a repeat of this years figure-ordering mess 6 TIMES?!

3. Do we have to pay for membership to the club plus membership to the figure club? Or is there some sort of discount for having both?

I am skeptical about this whole thing. I am not trying to sound sarcastic about the following question, I really want to know. Why can't we just have a pre-order system so we can buy the figures we want. Everyone gets the figures they want and the club knows how many to order.
Check out my collection!

No reason why Animated couldn't be included in Generations, given that Universe included G1, G2, RiD, Armada and, yes, Animated.

Except, if they had any intentions of doing so, they've had 2 years to have done it. Especially given that the further away Animated gets, the less relevant those figures would become.

By now, I think the club is really the only outlet to expand upon Animated. I think Hasbro threw it away a long time ago.

Well Universe Cheetor and Dinobot came out many years after BW ended and Hot Shot a long time after Armada. Maybe if you give it a few years the kids who enjoyed Animated will join the adult fandom with the rest of us and the nostalgia lines will cater to them too.

Yeah, but we've not seen anything from any other line except G1 as homages since 2009 (When those 3 were released). Hasbro's been cranking out the Neo G1 figures in droves, even thought they said Generations was going to be an all encompassing line that would span several eras of transformers.

Not that I don't enjoy the Neo G1 figures, but they dropped the ball on diversity.

In all fairness, WfC is a different continuity. I wouldn't mind seeing a few other Unicron Trilogy updates though, ESPECIALLY if they did Armada Sideways. I love the Armada version, but he really has crap for articulation.

I really, REALLY didn't wanna give these guys any more money after the last fiasco. But... I really can't pass up Slipstream.

Hopefully there's an option where I don't have to pay eleventy billion dollars for her.

I honestly think they've only heard the one episode where we were hard on them over the cc thing.

I'm kind of certain that the numerous other episodes where we've made a point of talking about all the things they do well got skipped. :-?

Anyway.

I'm very much in favor of this. I think it's ideal. The question of pricing is a serious concern on my end though. It could possibly be a train wreck if the prices are the same as the boxed exclusives we already get.

A reliable source tells me they're only poly-bagged so hopefully the fancy-box-budget can go towards dropping the prices on these guys.

Aye, that they are. Hopefully they still have bio cards.

They also said they've developed a new double-layered shipping packages to better preserve the figures en route. Something about cross-corugating.
