The sale has been going on for a few days before that email went out. And judging by Bounti76's comment, I'm glad I grabbed me a Thundercracker already. I also got Mirage, Sandstorm, Depthcharge and Electro as well. I was probably going to buy them at the prices they were before the sale but for ten dollars each, I'm glad I waited. I'm sitting on the fence about a few of the other ones though. I need to save my money for my preorders next month. Unless I make a few more sales from my collection.

Wish the Legacy set was part of the sale too.

Is there a reason why you can't order loose box set figures without first ordering the set with the box? I was looking at the machine wars set but then I saw I have to buy the boxed version and was turned off.

Yeah, as did I. They obviously have a lot of overstock of those figures otherwise they never would've made that set to begin with. However I think that the Legacy set and the other two sets that make up the Legacy set aren't on sale only because they just made the Legacy set. If they never made it, the other two sets probably would've been on sale now and they probably would've had single Flamewars for sale as well. Which makes me wonder why she wasn't for sale by herself to begin with and why Alpha Trizer and Brimstone aren't being sold separately right now as well.

I was upset by that as well. I think it's because nobody seemed to like that set. Or at least they didn't seem to like it in forums anyway. So they have way too many leftover boxed sets and they want to get rid of those first before they normally sell the non boxed sets. That doesn't explain why the Cybertron's Most Wanted set doesn't have the same stipulation though. Unless they just have less boxed sets left than they do with the Machine Wars set.

I'll keep waiting on those three sets though.

The cybertrons most wanted set does have the same stipulation though. I considered getting the loose one a while back until I realized that I have to buy the box set for about $100 more.

Never understood that rule. It makes sense for a convention if you want to buy an extra set for your friend. But it makes no sense for liquidating old stock. They need to let that go...

Yeah I see that now. I didn't notice it because it's not in the listings name like the Machine Wars set.

I completely agree, I mean I'm not a box collector while I know other people are so to pay the extra money just doesn't make sense for me. I would happily take the loose set to leave a boxed one for one of those collectors who will actually enjoy it.

Their website is the absolute worst! Every time I try to check out my order it loads for like 20 seconds and just times out. Anyone else having this problem?

So my package came in yesterday. These figures have nice joints on them. Much better than the retail version I have of those molds.

Anyway, my copy of Electro was being a little weird though. I couldn't get the chest to stay where it's supposed to in robot mode. It just kept springing backwards on me. So I opened it up and started playing around with it and ended up moving the small tab with the spring on it 180 degrees around and putting it back in to see if that helped. It did. It no longer clicks when being rotated around for transformation but at least now I can have the torso aligned like I can with my Kup and Smallfoot (Swerve) figures.

Did anyone else have this problem with Electro in which the torso just didn't stay in place in robot mode or was it just mine? Or has this already been addressed years ago when this figure was first released and I just didn't pay attention as I never thought I would own it?

Yes, that issue with the chests of both Electrons and Hoist was addressed back in 2013. It was a widespread misassembly, so some instructions were posted back then on how to fix it.

Thanks, I figured it was that I just didn't pay attention to it the first time around.

A disclaimer and a link to your how to should be added to the listing for both Hoist and Electro. Seems quite a few that missed the news of the mis-assembly problem are now buying those figures. 8-)
